Thoma, Benny, Xingqiu, Nahida Burgeon team is really good against the Baptist. Especially with your C6 Benny. Its really good in chamber 1 as well Full EM on both Nahida and Thoma

You took dmg from burning on the enemy cause by Nahida, she's probably built with a lot of EM so that's why it's 2k per tick. If you didn't know, burning deals dmg in very small AOE to ALL nearby units, including both you and enemies.
Burning damage is incredibly high for your own characters, and incredibly low for enemy characters. It feels like you get the same tic that enemies get, just that your characters have like around 20k hp and they have 5 milion. Burning is the most butchered reaction with unbalanced ratios, which makes the reaction more painful for yourself than any other enemy, I hate it so much.

For the Baptist’s I find that if you can’t damage down his weaken phase in a single rotation it take wayyy longer because you have to destroy all the elemental shields again
Floor 11 was no joke this time, so it's cool that you were able to do it despite it being harder than usual. Maybe floor 12 will calm the F down a bit going forward and you might have a chance there too. Can't imagine what newer accounts must be going through on floor 12 atm.
for anyone struggling, I recommend a freeze team in the first half, and a burgeon team in the second half (in my tests, hyperbloom team worked fine in second half as well). yes, there's a boss in the second chamber but freeze team deals incredibly well with all the mobs in the first chamber and the consecrated beasts in the third chamber.
I swear, this heralds in 12-1-2 were my 13th reason why. I breezed through the rest of it (Baptist with a fun team with Yoimiya, Nahida, Yelan and Zhongli). Only those heralds were the biggest pain for me, needed like 50 trys.
this was by far the hardest abyss, here is what ive used personally: first half: Yae, Raiden, Kokomi, Kazuha second half: Hu tao, Xingqiu, Nahida, Zhongli.
same for me actually. I feel so bad for f2p and new players. it's crazy how even with 7 hyper invested 5 stars I still struggled to 3 star this abyss... it basically felt like a nahida check at some points.
@@usslittle3555 I got some AR 58 friends who won't even touch floor twelve, and it's usually because they don't build their 4 star supports. They only build dpses. But yeah I agree, new players won't be able to get to floor 12.

burgeon actually works really well for the second half (i used nahida, xingqiu, benny and thoma), it can deal with the heralds shields and the baptist. It’s also surprisingly amazing for the thunder manifestation. my c6 thoma really came in clutch lol
Kuki also work well in place of Bennet since Electro off-field helps with Cryo and Pyro shields, and Hyperbloom counts as Dendro damage so she can still be effective against the Thunder Manifestation.

Nahida national with Bennett, Xingqiu and Xiangling is the team I used for 2nd half, it was really fast and way easier. You just have to be decent at dodging and it shreds everything.
My teams for this abyss were First half: Ayato, Raiden, Kazuha, and Yaoyao Second half: Zhongli, Benny, Yoimiya and Yelan They actually work great, both teams deal insane damage
A hint for the second half of the abyss: Utilize a burgeon team (or Nahida national who one could partially consider as a burgeon team). Not only are the exploding cores powerful, but the elements are corresponding with the elements you need to break the elemental shields: Pyro for cryo (baptist + lectors + mage), Dendro for hydro (baptist + lector + mage), And hydro for pyro (baptist). Besides, the overload/quicken/spread damage would be nice against the Thunder Manifestation who is already affected by electro. Of course it does require niche units like Thoma to make a solid burgeon team. But if you have the required characters, it is recommended to try it out.
The baptist was a piece of cake. It's those cryo heralds and beasts that were the biggest PITA. Xangling, whom I hardly use in abyss, was a musts second half.
when an enemy is burning it will burn you too this scales up with the number of enemies and there is no dmg reduction for that soooo be carefull from staying to close to burning enemies
Floor 12 2nd half is the playground of childe grassional it shreds the baptist so fast and for the first half I just go freeze for the 4 consecrated animals
Moga for the dendro reactions dont use an element that can disrupt the reaction. (Example for hyper bloom if you bring a pyro character it will turn the dendro cores to burgeon instead of hyper bloom)
Good thing the enemies HP keeps increasing but the players damage ceiling is capped, wouldn't want anyone to get anxiety... But hey, who needs practicality when you can push an artificial difficulty narrative in spiral abyss to sell the current banner characters right?

the part with those cryo lector was a pain in the ass for me, just spent like 2 hours breaking my head trying to make a team that could broke the cryo shield quick enough. The rest was pretty easy.
when I saw floor 12 I thought it was just gonna be chill since I whoop his ass in the actual game, no. no it wasn't. I thought "oh I get an R5 Deathmatch this month, maybe it will help me finally 36 star since last abyss I got 33!" again, no. he took me so long I didn't even get one fucking star. I barely got to 33 from the other parts.
The most annoying part of this abyss IMO besides the consecrated beasts in 2 pairs, is that 12-1 first half there are 4 waves but they work in pairs regards to spawns. So if you dont kill all 3 whopperflowers at the same time, you will get 1-2 spawning at a odd place-time fucking up your rotation. Same for doritos. So bringing anyone with a good nuke burst is good to make sure you get all 3 enemies in one go so you can relocate to the next spawn location.
Burgeon team got me through the Second Halves of Floor 12, as in a team that somewhat goes Nahida/Dendro applicator, Yelan or Xingqiu/Hydro applicator, Thoma or Xiangling/Pyro applicator and Kokomi or Barbara/Hydro healer, but Kokomi is definetely best for a Burgeon team as you will take some hefty hits by Burgeon. I definetely recommend it but the team does need some investment if not a maximum of like 80 on all characters plus that the Pyro applicator needs FoPL for extra Burgeon DMG. You fill out all the holes with a Burgeon team: - If built correctly, you will destroy everything in your path ✔ - Pyro for Cryo shield on Chamber 3 ✔ - Dendro for Hydro shield on Chamber 3 ✔ - Hydro for Pyro shield on Chamber 3 ✔ You can also replace Hydro healer with Baizhu but he almost has to be Lv. 90 + good artifacts + 1-10/8-10/8-10 talents. If you have a godly Zhongli with 60k some HP, you can use him too. Definetely helps with constellations but not everyone is a whale so yeah. If you decide to go with Zhongli, you can either keep Thoma or replace Thoma with Xiangling, but Thoma's interval pauses are kinda better because you can get a load of Dendro cores and see the enemies' HP bars fall instead of having one Burgeon explode every 2s with Xianglings Elemental Burst. This is the time most people would like a Burgeon-focused unit. I hope HoYoVerse will do something like that, could be interesting.
For first half I used a Raiden/Baizhu team (Baizhu is C6 tho and built as dps) with Kazuha for cc and Sara for buffs which made the whole thing pretty easy. Second half I used a weird Hu Tao burning comp with Yelan, Nahida and Zhongli. None of this is very f2p/new player accessable though so yeah, I see why this Abyss is difficult for many players. I still thought the last one was way harder though? And I had access to the same strong characters back then but that took me so many more tries to 36 star
one of the hardest in recent time. Got one shotted several times in 12-1-2. Here are my teams that I used to finally 36* it First half : Yae Beidou XQ Venti Second half : Childe XL Nahida Benny Beidou-XQ helps a lot on surviving against the beasts in 12-3-1 without a true shielder or healer. Altho you still have to dodge. Also, Kazuha or Sucrose should work well too
"i do mysterious things. very often" - moga 2k23 moga is calling it the insiquitous baptist most the time, which i'm not sure is even a word but it's fair bc iniquitous is not a word people use, normally... yep at the end there the baptist was on fire and it was damaging your character as well. i think i saw 2k per burning tick! nuts
so moga this is a good thing to learn do not stand on top of burning enemy's or else you will take the dmg as well and with a good nahida it can be 2000-4000 burning dmg per second
For f2p, you have to change the teams for each chamber. Going from Jade Plume to two beasts is not synergistic in the first half. It’s AOE into single target into AOE again.
The chocobo is pretty wussy, though, if you have the elements to put him into his stunned state. The second chamber is overall the easiest, allowing for the greatest team variation.
I couldn’t beat the crocodile and the fanged beast in the previous abyss it’s so hard to catch them on mobile they keep zooming across my screen I couldn’t bother I gave up 😂.
The funniest thing for me was clearing 12-2-2 with only C0 R5 Favonius Yelan, C0 R4 Wandering Evenstar Nahida and C0 R5 Favonius Zhongli. My C1R1 Homa Hu Tao was just along for the ride for chamber 12-3-2^^ 1st half was Rational comp with C0R1 Homa Raiden^^ and 12-3-3 was easy as hell once you get rid of the shields. 12-1 was the hardest, again, and I went back to getbmy 3rd star with Raiden-Nahida-Yelan-Venti 1st half and Ayato-Xiangling-Bennet-Kazuha 2nd half. It was def easier than th3 previous abyss... or the Wenut
Here's the team that helped me 34 star this. I'm not going back there for the extra 2 stars. It was too frustrating. First half - Raiden + Kazuha + ZL + Yelan Second half - Nahida + XQ + Benny + XL
As a newer player, I used First half: Raiden, Fischl, Barbara, Yaoyao Second half: Nahida, Kuki, Xingqiu, Thoma Most of them are low invested so only got 4 star out of 9... Hopefully when I get Kazuha next banner this would be easier for the first half

Second half of chamber one was a pain... had to use a kirara national there and used ayaka freeze for the first half. It took 50 seconds in the first half, and I had 20 seconds extra w/ the kirara team.
I needed kirara to shred hydro bc funerational couldn't deal with the hydro lector. Also, ayaka carried me thru this abyss like crazy, the consecrated beasts died in 55 seconds.
Freeze is good for first half. Second half can have Ganyu instead of Nahida and Kazuha instead of Raiden and it also works. Tartaglia intergrassional also makes short work of the Iniquitous Baptist in the end. This abyss made people think on very exotic teams. I know it was a hard abyss, but it was an interesting one.
I struggled so much in 12-1😂 I first had 2stars, 3stars, 3stars so I was fighting for that one star at the beginning. The rest was fairly easy so I‘m glad this was 12-1 so I could try out different teams. My Wanderer seems to be my strongest main dps. It took me a minute and 10 sec for the first half and I cleared the second half with actually 30 second left with Hu Tao Xingqu Nahida Beizhu😂 I feel like this is the first abyss where template meta teams don‘t work
When you cause Burning on an enemy, you'll also take Burning damage if you're directly touching them. And it can seriously mess you up. Fun fact for all my fellow Beidou mains. If there's no grass around, you can touch a Burning enemy and counter that. It doesn't work for all enemies though since some of them have weird hit boxes.
this abbyss was just pain tbh. my upgraded wanderer team (got rid of kokomi, went with noblesse jean for mono anemo and dmg boost) could deal with first half of all chambers. the hutao team struggled. my hutao is well build but the secind half of chamber one is a pain, also i didnt think about the thunder manifestation just running around. actually the pain were concecrated beasts, im missing er on my wanderer team fir my supports and thomas shoeld is not good enough tbh, i repeated so mant times i gave up on the baptist because hutak died and i didnt want to repeat the beast half anymore.
That last chamber, I couldnt even complete the first half literally because they completely wipe my health out immediately. I dont even know what those things are, but there are 4 OF THEM?

Really? because my problem was how I was not playing at all. 12-1-1 despite baiting the flowers into tping near me there was always one that stayed 5 miles away shielded throwing stuff. 12-1-2 Hey is the rocket launch bug and the hit box making no sense 2 electric bugaloo BUT WITH FREEEZEEEEE. 12-2 nothing worth mentioning. 12-3-1 don't get near the walls OR ELSE. 12-3-2 Oh it's so nice that you overcame all of the problems above BUT DID YOU DO IT WITH THE RIGHT ELEMENTS? Terrible abyss, difficult and annoying with limited selection ain't the same, but oh well what do I know I've only been clearing abyss for over two years and this is the first one that legit made me want to quit.
The first half for me. Freeze team is the best with Ayaka Kazuha Shenhe and Kokomi. Then the second half using Xiangling Jean Bennett and Xingqiu works the best

They should make burning reaction you created only deal 5% damage to you like bloom.

The reason why the burn was because if Nahida uses her E will on fire it creates burning that can do like 800 dmg per tic lol

with Zhongli, only problem I had was dps because Zhongli protected my team with his shield. But shield is a dps Loss ig.
If you stand close to an enemy that's burning, you take the burning damage too. That's what was killing your team in the end.
The Baptist isn't the problem is those two beasts in the first half 💀💀

Even tho the bottom half of abyss 12 seems to really want you to play a burgeon team, I oddly had an easier time using a kazuha national team.

i use kazuha in first half w/ keqing aggravate, so i had to use burgeon yaoyao. works surprisingly well at least for second half

In F12, I'll be trying Ayaka, Kazuha, Diona, Mona for the first half, and Yanfei, Yelan, Xinqui, Bennett for the 2nd half when I get home in 4days.
With the thunder manifestation when it does the attack when the two sides move inwards just run into the wall to dodge it’s damage :))

For the baptist in the abyss if you have whale hu tao and get cryo shield first you can melt the shield then burst after applying hyrdo
Burgeon team got me through the Second Halves of Floor 12, as in a team that somewhat goes Nahida/Dendro applicator, Yelan or Xingqiu/Hydro applicator, Thoma or Xiangling/Pyro applicator and Kokomi or Barbara/Hydro healer, but Kokomi is definetely best for a Burgeon team as you will take some hefty hits by Burgeon.
I definetely recommend it but the team does need some investment if not a maximum of like 80 on all characters plus that the Pyro applicator needs FoPL for extra Burgeon DMG.
You fill out all the holes with a Burgeon team:
- If built correctly, you will destroy everything in your path ✔
- Pyro for Cryo shield on Chamber 3 ✔
- Dendro for Hydro shield on Chamber 3 ✔
- Hydro for Pyro shield on Chamber 3 ✔
You can also replace Hydro healer with Baizhu but he almost has to be Lv. 90 + good artifacts + 1-10/8-10/8-10 talents. If you have a godly Zhongli with 60k some HP, you can use him too. Definetely helps with constellations but not everyone is a whale so yeah. If you decide to go with Zhongli, you can either keep Thoma or replace Thoma with Xiangling, but Thoma's interval pauses are kinda better because you can get a load of Dendro cores and see the enemies' HP bars fall instead of having one Burgeon explode every 2s with Xianglings Elemental Burst.
This is the time most people would like a Burgeon-focused unit. I hope HoYoVerse will do something like that, could be interesting.

Aggravate top half, burgeon bottom half is pretty much the way to go. I even used Amber in my burgeon team like a madman
For first half I used a Raiden/Baizhu team (Baizhu is C6 tho and built as dps) with Kazuha for cc and Sara for buffs which made the whole thing pretty easy. Second half I used a weird Hu Tao burning comp with Yelan, Nahida and Zhongli. None of this is very f2p/new player accessable though so yeah, I see why this Abyss is difficult for many players.
I still thought the last one was way harder though? And I had access to the same strong characters back then but that took me so many more tries to 36 star
one of the hardest in recent time. Got one shotted several times in 12-1-2. Here are my teams that I used to finally 36* it
First half : Yae Beidou XQ Venti
Second half : Childe XL Nahida Benny
Beidou-XQ helps a lot on surviving against the beasts in 12-3-1 without a true shielder or healer. Altho you still have to dodge. Also, Kazuha or Sucrose should work well too
Ganyu was really good for me on abyss12 second, she can freeze 1st, dps 2nd and break shield for thrid. My team was bennette, nahida, kokomi, ganyu

yep at the end there the baptist was on fire and it was damaging your character as well. i think i saw 2k per burning tick! nuts
For first half I used Raiden, Kazuha, Kuki, and Kirara (Noblesse set). For second half, I used Nahida driver, Xinqiu, Bennett, and Jean.
so moga this is a good thing to learn do not stand on top of burning enemy's or else you will take the dmg as well and with a good nahida it can be 2000-4000 burning dmg per second
For f2p, you have to change the teams for each chamber. Going from Jade Plume to two beasts is not synergistic in the first half. It’s AOE into single target into AOE again.
The chocobo is pretty wussy, though, if you have the elements to put him into his stunned state. The second chamber is overall the easiest, allowing for the greatest team variation.
Burgeon was literally the only way I was to beat second half and it worked so smoothly
I couldn’t beat the crocodile and the fanged beast in the previous abyss it’s so hard to catch them on mobile they keep zooming across my screen I couldn’t bother I gave up 😂.
The funniest thing for me was clearing 12-2-2 with only C0 R5 Favonius Yelan, C0 R4 Wandering Evenstar Nahida and C0 R5 Favonius Zhongli. My C1R1 Homa Hu Tao was just along for the ride for chamber 12-3-2^^

Here's the team that helped me 34 star this. I'm not going back there for the extra 2 stars. It was too frustrating.
First half - Raiden + Kazuha + ZL + Yelan
Second half - Nahida + XQ + Benny + XL
As a newer player, I used
First half: Raiden, Fischl, Barbara, Yaoyao
Second half: Nahida, Kuki, Xingqiu, Thoma
Most of them are low invested so only got 4 star out of 9...
Hopefully when I get Kazuha next banner this would be easier for the first half

This is going to be pure torture for f2ps especially how extremely difficult it is for chamber 12
Second half of chamber one was a pain... had to use a kirara national there and used ayaka freeze for the first half. It took 50 seconds in the first half, and I had 20 seconds extra w/ the kirara team.
I needed kirara to shred hydro bc funerational couldn't deal with the hydro lector. Also, ayaka carried me thru this abyss like crazy, the consecrated beasts died in 55 seconds.
Honestly I found this one easier than the last rotation. I guess it depends on the teams you use.
I think this abyss is interesting, it forced me to break down old team and try different combinations.
Freeze is good for first half. Second half can have Ganyu instead of Nahida and Kazuha instead of Raiden and it also works. Tartaglia intergrassional also makes short work of the Iniquitous Baptist in the end.
This abyss made people think on very exotic teams. I know it was a hard abyss, but it was an interesting one.

Floor 12 2nd half is taylor made for a burgeon team aoe dmg, hydro, pyro and dendro it takes care of everything
I struggled so much in 12-1😂 I first had 2stars, 3stars, 3stars so I was fighting for that one star at the beginning. The rest was fairly easy so I‘m glad this was 12-1 so I could try out different teams. My Wanderer seems to be my strongest main dps. It took me a minute and 10 sec for the first half and I cleared the second half with actually 30 second left with Hu Tao Xingqu Nahida Beizhu😂 I feel like this is the first abyss where template meta teams don‘t work
Fun video idea: try to do abyss with five stars you dont use often like cyno or alhaitem(idk if you use alhaithem😅)
My teams were
First half: Keqing, Baizhu, Raiden, Kazuha
Second half: Tighnari, Bennett, Yelan, Xiangling
It was actually pretty easy with these teams
When you cause Burning on an enemy, you'll also take Burning damage if you're directly touching them. And it can seriously mess you up.
Fun fact for all my fellow Beidou mains. If there's no grass around, you can touch a Burning enemy and counter that. It doesn't work for all enemies though since some of them have weird hit boxes.
It is very hard to clear the current Abyss with characters at level 70/80. Usually, I can do it, but not in the current Abyss
this abbyss was just pain tbh. my upgraded wanderer team (got rid of kokomi, went with noblesse jean for mono anemo and dmg boost) could deal with first half of all chambers. the hutao team struggled. my hutao is well build but the secind half of chamber one is a pain, also i didnt think about the thunder manifestation just running around.
actually the pain were concecrated beasts, im missing er on my wanderer team fir my supports and thomas shoeld is not good enough tbh, i repeated so mant times
i gave up on the baptist because hutak died and i didnt want to repeat the beast half anymore.

That last chamber, I couldnt even complete the first half literally because they completely wipe my health out immediately. I dont even know what those things are, but there are 4 OF THEM?

second half: kuki(all em), yelan/xingqiu, nahida and benny(c6)
mind you my raiden is c3 with signature weapon but hopefully this will help someone. good luck!

First clear: Hutao double hydro | Ayaka Melt
Second clear: Ayaka Freeze | Sucrose National
Seems there are quite a number of teams that can clear this abyss. Once you figure out the teams it's not that hard

c6 bennett xiangling jean and yelan/xingqiu really helped me to beat the baptist in time

12-1-1 despite baiting the flowers into tping near me there was always one that stayed 5 miles away shielded throwing stuff.

12-2 nothing worth mentioning.

Terrible abyss, difficult and annoying with limited selection ain't the same, but oh well what do I know I've only been clearing abyss for over two years and this is the first one that legit made me want to quit.
@@drekhunter funny enough, hugging the wall is a pretty reliable strat on the consecrated beasts, just spam ults and you'll rarely be juggled

The first half for me. Freeze team is the best with Ayaka Kazuha Shenhe and Kokomi. Then the second half using Xiangling Jean Bennett and Xingqiu works the best
