Reminds me of Ace Combat with a lot of the story bits occurring mid mission while you’re trying to focus on all the craziness around you, I dig that though. Awesome review man, thanks for this.
I love the comparison to fighting games here. I actually have been thinking that I'd love to host locals for this game or at the very least hold weekly a d monthly online tournaments for this game. At the pvp showcase Zealous and his commentary made me feel like I was watching an FGC event. It was sick.

I am a small streamer and youtuber so my opinion might not be the biggest thing, I would like to give one piece of advice though. You are charismatic as hell Joe and we need to see you on these videos. It is one of your greatest strengths, when you host Evo your hype is infectious. Bring it to videos like this, seeing you pop off will make others pop off, I guarantee it.

Definitely a feeling I've had in older games. I played 2 to 3 heavy and then 4/5 less. I can respect that decision for the review and think it may have been a good call especially since the amount of people that would have the context of playing the old games is significantly overshadowed by the amount of new eyes and interest in this one. Thank homie! The one thing I will say is don’t get caught up on 1 thing with your AC. Try everything! Don’t settle. I can’t express how much your experience will change by doing something so simple like changing your guns

And I needed info like to decide whether to pre-order or not, so thanks :) One thing I'm also very interested in is this: Is it worth hunting for gear scattered on the maps mid mission?
You know I forgot to say that because I only found a few. It really depends on your style but I haven’t found much that made me really want to hunt for it. The maps are pretty big and how well/quick you do on missions changes your grade I believe. On top of that, some of the missions are pretty empty if you go off the path Which is where you find most the stuff

I'm not sure why, but most reviewers always forget to mention, of which is causing contention with those players who don't like the Hard Lock-on. The Hard Lock is not 100% accurate and there is a floating reticle that moves a lot if you're not within the Optimal distance of your weapons and FCS causing a ton of missed shots. The Soft lock is more accurate BUT you need to actively move your camera of which can hamper your movement (specially if you're not so well versed on it). Hard Lock simply allows you to concentrate on your movements better and just enable's you to be more aggressive to a single target.
How many hours was your playthrough? Sorry if I missed it in the review. I'm hearing a wild range of hours from reviewers to From Soft themselves. Thx!
