Always go for burst in bot. They usually are ranged with escape abilities/cc you dont have time to wait for the q to come up again unless they are very overextended and you know 100% they have nothing up.

You can either go bruiser which is easier to be effective, or continue to use glass cannon and play to one shot the squishies later on in the game.
