  • Andover. Newbury Road. 1980's.
This video was taken by a passenger on the way back to Newbury after work. You can see here, that it was made before the Retail Park was built, and the old cottages by Enham Arch were demolished. Also, the trees along past King Arthurs Way are still very small. It was also before the houses were built on the right just after the top roundabout, and before Saxon Way was built. It was still a 40 mph limit through Enham then too.
If you'd like to, you can buy me a coffee if you think this was useful to you. Thank you.

    Thank you.

Hi Peter. Yes, it's changed so much over the years. I've only know it since late 1977 so people here before that would notice much more. Thank you for watching and your comment.

I used to live on Lilywhite Crescent; fascinating to see footage of what the area looked like before Manor Copse and Lilywhite were built!

We lived in Galahad Close from 1972 to 1976, my son went to Knights Enham school. Andover was a nice place to live back then. Thank you for the memories.

Thank you for watching and your kind comment. If you drive up there now, the size of those trees would surprise you!

Great video! I was born in King Arthurs Way in 1974 and went to Knights Enham Infants & Junior school. Was great to see the school with no oak trees in the way. Thank you David

I lived at No1 Launcelot Close, we were the first family to live there back in 1972. I got married at St Michaels and All Angels in Enham in 1985.

I do know some very nice people that live there, it's just the few bad ones that spoil it for the others I think. You're obviously not in the area now and I'm due to to a town update soon, lots of changes, so if you subscribe and click the bell, you'll get a notification as I add new videos. Thank you.

Hi Dominic. That's King Arthurs Way on the left, the back of Tudor Court and Stuart Court. You can hardly see them from the road now due to the size of the trees.
