This is a very useful video. It was truly helpful on my first time changing MiniMed Mio Advance products. It was exactly the way our instruct taught us to do it.

This is a good sample. But I would recommend using a real person to show. It is much easier.

I filled the syringe with 3 ml just as you did, what should i set the fill cannula to? Is .600 correct?

Hi, Jake. The cannula fill would depend on which infusion set you are using. If you are using the 6 mm option you would fill with 0.3 units (0.003 ml) and if you are using the 9 mm option you would fill with 0.5 units (0.005 ml). Please see page 11 of the MiniMed Mio Infusion Set guide for more information: www.medtronicdiabetes.com/sites/default/files/library/download-library/user-guides/mio_manual.pdf

      @@MedtronicDiabetesUS I am using a 3 ml syringe

The cannula should be filled based on the gauge of the infusion set you are using. If you'd like, you can call our Technical Support team to walk through the steps and options. They can be reached at 1-800-646-4633, option #1. Thank you!

Disposal of a new inserter every time is not environmentally friendly! And, since we can only get small sharps containers from our doctor, they will fill up that container very quickly. I am disappointed at medtronics lack of concern for our environment.

Karen, we recognize that there is a lot of work to do to decrease the impact on the environment. We are striving to play our part, guided by environmental policies. You can learn more here: bit.ly/3WSgCeY
