Thank you very much, I play my way also. I started with a 50s Dickerson, now I build my own, after building quite a few, learning from mistakes, they get better each time, got em down now.. Think I will name the company "Edilspal" (lap slide backwards)The advice/ideas/inspiration I have gotten from your videos has improved my playing 10 fold. Thanks again for sharing you amazing talent!
You are absolutely right. I have done a lot of tabs, traditional song memorizing, scales, and theory but where I have always had the most fun is just getting in a zone and repeating/feeling a groove. The memorizing gets left behind if I stop for a while but I can have fun when I come back with the feel. I will always continue to work at learning songs but that is the key word ... work. I have to have fun or I lose momentum. Thanks for your exuberance, it's helpful.
this channel is very inspiring! i am not here for the lessons, but the sound... Your instruments look and sound amazing! wow! thank you for sharing this!
Some of the most useful and no bull...t pieces of advice out there on RUclips. thanks!

It is such a treat especially as a beginner to start to jam right away. Youre making a whole new generation of musicians hopefully.
Thanks! Glad you're digging it!
You’re the best lap slide player I’ve seen

What brand is that lap steel?
I built it myself! I have a whole video on lap steels, and I talk about it. But they're not for sale!
Great advice. I’m too much of a book smart player. Need to be mire of an ear player.
It's a really hard transition!!! But it gets easier.
Thank you great content
