It’s a bug and they’ve got a bug fix in the legal system to make sure that it doesn’t get exploited. You can hire someone to remove the bug, but it tends to end up being fixed so that it’s in their bank accounts. To get around the bug fixes you need to mark it as edible money, but unfortunately the banks don’t allow edible money to be stored in their storage space, so you should create your own storage space and then once you’ve duplicated it enough you should sell it to other players in return for other items and store them in your bank account, but unfortunately it takes a lot of time and resources to start up a profitable edible money farm which will also not be AFK.
Speaking about diamonds, I think the diamond item model is perfect. They could've gone for the traditional triangular diamond look, but instead they went for this, and I think it looks even better than the other type of diamonds. Idk why, it's just nice to look at.
Being able to make diamonds that are constantly transitioning between existence and nothingness by consuming normal diamonds and then turning them into real, solid diamonds sounds like some random five-minute-crafts life hack.
3:58 the item is in a superposition. It is simultaneously a chest and a netherite block. The item will only collapse into a single set state once it is ovbserved, thus when you left your inventory, your hotbar observed it, thus collapsing it into a chest Also every single item also does that lmao. They are simultaneously existing and non-existing, and will only collapse to one state once observed
I'm not sure how does Minceraft item system work (and I would like to know since it looks like it can solve my problem of not knowing how to do an item system properly), but, if there is a central database with items in the world pointing at entries in it, that means multiple in-world items can point to a same entry and be essentially the same item in multiple places

I recently thought about the next Minecraft update, and to be honest, the End was updated quite a bit in 1.9. But what hasn’t been updated much in the last 999 years is food. We got some fancy new foods, but they aren’t really made as a saturation source. Kelp, as well as sweet and glow berries, are too inefficient to be the main choice of food; Honey bottles take longer to consume than normal food and have a max stack size of 16; Chorus fruit teleports the player; Suspicious stew isn’t stackable, and IMO, it was made as a funny food roulette like the candies from Harry Potter, not everyone knows that there is a suspicious stew with a saturation effect.

Basically had the same thought. “Mojang gave us INFINITE DIAMONDS -you just need to have cheats enabled and use a fairly complicated command string instead of /give @s diamond 640-
4:37 The only thing I can think of is that the Minecarts tried to yeet Phoenix away at an extreme speed, so fast in fact that we never actually see him move. This then sent him backwards, where the portal probably was. However, because he is in creative mode, he was instantly transported to the nether. And with no momentum being carried, it looked like he just *appeared* there. I’m probably overthinking this but hey I like overthinking things 😅
this just proves that steve is so strong he can split the diamonds into multiple quantum entities that are in a state of both existing and non-existing at the same time
3:57 "I don't know if I'm holding the chest anymore. Oh yeah. It's switching between the chest and the netherite block." You're holding both and neither at the same time. Hitting escape collapsed the probability function. Resulting in only either or.
Hi Phoenix! This is an interesting bug for sure and I think your reason for the bug occurring (that being sound_id not existing) is right! However, I'm pretty sure this bug only occurs client-side, and that's where an important issue comes into play. In your video, you only tested the duplication of items in the creative inventory screen, however, when the player is in creative, the server accepts any changes the client makes to its inventory without verifying if the changes are legitimate. The server simply assumes the client got the item from the creative menu tabs or the saved hotbar tab. In survival mode however, the server does verify inventory changes. While the item appears to still be bugged on the client when opening the survival player inventory, and I was sometimes able to turn 1 diamond into 2, these items were simply "ghost" items and disappeared the moment I closed the inventory screen. I think that's an important detail to mention! Note though that I didn't look into the code for this bug, so I might be wrong!
I guess Steve's gut has the ability to quantumly entangle objects? Objects that both do and do not exist once they pass through his system. Man, his super-power list keeps growing.
It's honestly a cool effect when you fill your inventory. Reminds me of the Quantum slimes from Slime rancher. If only we could've gotten them to duplicate, instead of just teleporting.
this won't work in survival tho since the items are ghost items and the only reason they stay after you close the inventory is the fact that ghost items actually become real in the creative inventory
It reminds me the time of early multiplayer days. When player inventory was stored locally, and chest inventory was stored at the server. When moving items in the inventory, you could see that at one moment there were two copies of the stack. You could manage to grab the phantom item and duplicate them.
Duping glitches are inevitable. By their very nature, a computer's only method of "transferring" data is to copy it to a new location, then delete the original. If that process gets interrupted somehow, you get a duping bug. Case in point: inventory slots. The diamond is being "moved" to a different slot, but what's really happening is the empty slot is being replaced with the diamond and the original diamond is destroyed.
When you made those diamond armors out of the invalid edible diamonds, 1. were those armors edible? 2. did they have the same glitch where they can be kind of duplicated by spreading them in your inventory?
There's a glitch I found where if you're in the creative menu, and you hover your mouse on a singular item in your hotbar, press Q. You'll drop it, but it'll disappear. Version 1.21.1
I have a feeling this bug would only happen in creative because the server syncs the inventory in creative while in survival it doesn't get synced so exploiters can't just get a sudden full inventory of netherite
something similar to this used to happen in very early version of survival multiplayer. you could get infinite diamonds from just one, but also you could accidentally delete the items while trying to dupe them.
i honestly kinda hope that they leave it in the game, since it'd rarely show up in actual gameplay, and could actually be kinda fun to give to a player if you're like, an admin or smth
It’s not a glitch or anything but if you play Minecraft Bedrock edition on pc, you can edit the quantity of an inventory slot as a byte address in Cheat Engine. If you edit the quantity, you can adjust the quantity of anything you put in that slot, even duplicating enchanted armor.
It's simple. The diamond has turned itself into a quantum diamond. It is in a superposition of all your different inventory slots at once. The diamond is no longer made up of particles, but of wave functions. That function being the probability of it being in any one of your given inventory slots.
