I like the song but I was a Christian and believer in Jesus Christ as Messiah and God for 25 years and never once did I feel peace, freedom or forgiveness at the cross in prayer or anywhere else. :/

Thats awful. Im sorry you felt like that. But I think those feelings have happened to everyone. But I promise you if you just come back to Jesus and ask him to day by day show you what you are looking for he will. Like this song says, ITS NEVER TOO LATE!
David - I am an Agnostic, and Naturalistic Pantheist so pretty much. Dee - I wish I could believe in Jesus again but the way things have been and as hopeless as it has always been I just don't think I can believe there really is a god at all, so
