Something else to consider is that with Cartier prices you really need to insure and you have to have a certificate from store for insurance company or pay for appraisal. Sometimes the cheap comes out expensive.

Something similar happened to me..I bought my JUC from a trusted jeweler who sold me a diamond version for a great deal (red flag #1) and I noticed the mine had the new closure but only 4 diamonds at each edge of the nail tip, and the size/order of them were off even if they were to match the old closure. Mine also didn't have Au before 750 and a space between the letters and numbers for the serial numbers. I took it back to my jeweler and will never return to him again. Lesson learned :(

The reason why i addressed the issue in the video is because the owner did not disclose the authenticity of the piece when I asked twice before making the other videos. In the end, the truth revealed itself. I do not want to mislead my viewers - hence, the birth of this video.
Hi dear, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Thanks for doing this video because it takes a lot of courage but it also addresses an issue that I"m sure so many ppl struggle with. To be honest I have also heard of authenticators authenticating a bag that was fake as real. So at the end of the day, buying second hand (which is really not cheap) can really be a big risk. Unless you truly know and trust the person, there is always the risk of getting a fake. And to be honest the fakes are improving with their mistakes and so it's getting harder and harder to know if any piece is real or fake. I am so against fakes!! The problem is that there are super fakes now that fool even the best. My friend owns a high end pre loved boutique and she is having a problem telling the super fakes with the authentic. My super fake is 8 years old, has been through the ringer and has held up as good as my real Louie. Before the super fakes it was worth a chance but no more 🤦🏼♀️

If that fake is only worth 1000$ then it’s fine, gold is gold, but if you pay the price as the original then that’s not worth it. Yeah I would for a refund I won’t pay expensive for fake,

The reason why i addressed the issue in the video is because the owner did not disclose the authenticity of the piece when I asked twice before making the other videos. In the end, the truth revealed itself. I do not want to mislead my viewers - hence, the birth of this video.
Hi dear, I'm so sorry to hear about this. Thanks for doing this video because it takes a lot of courage but it also addresses an issue that I"m sure so many ppl struggle with. To be honest I have also heard of authenticators authenticating a bag that was fake as real. So at the end of the day, buying second hand (which is really not cheap) can really be a big risk. Unless you truly know and trust the person, there is always the risk of getting a fake. And to be honest the fakes are improving with their mistakes and so it's getting harder and harder to know if any piece is real or fake. I am so against fakes!! They circulate in the market and innocent people end up getting cheated! Anyways, I really appreciate this video and thanks for discussing this not sp easy to tackle subject! Ttyl!

My First Luxury yes having peace of mind for me is priceless !! I would only shop from boutiques or from someone I highly trusted that also only buys from the shop. These are expensive items after all !! I am sure there is a valid second hand market and it’s great for sustainability- but you need to be so careful !!
I only buy from authorized stores as l have a fake LV that l bought for work but since l have the genuine one l know which is which only because l have the fake marked with a tiny dot of nail polish in the pocket. The problem is that there are super fakes now that fool even the best. My friend owns a high end pre loved boutique and she is having a problem telling the super fakes with the authentic. My super fake is 8 years old, has been through the ringer and has held up as good as my real Louie. Before the super fakes it was worth a chance but no more 🤦🏼♀️
