I actually first heard Nonpoint in a Nascar game I used to play when I was younger. It was a rare song by them too called "Across The Line" but yeah checked out some of their albums after liking that song and ever since I've been hooked.
The only place to find the song is on one of their compilation albums and nascar. I first heard them on SvR 2007 I believe. This song was the first one I heard.
I was just informed Nonpoint recently played a show in Dallas, TX. I only live 2 hours from there so I'm pretty not happy that I missed out on what I know was an unbelievable show. Sick playing once again dude!
the reason i want this guitar so bad is cause even tho i have the prs se baritone, Ive always wanted a guitar that could handle real low tunings and still have the versatility of a standard scale. This looks like the winner.
Oh I know how it feels, I've had tickets for a Nonpoint show twice and missed them both times for freak incidents that kept me from going. I finally got to see them with In This Moment and a couple of other bands a couple years ago. They definitely bring it live. Like Sevendust, they tour a ton so there's a good possibility they'll be back in your area before long.
Ya nailed it, man. It's cool to see somebody enjoy playin a song and not just playin it cause they can. What's that guitar ya got there? I can't figure it out. Play on, bruv!
I've only done Dodge Your Destiny so far, haven't gotten to the others yet. The new songs are Drop C but a little flat, roughly a quarter step. Not sure of the exact frequency but 430 sounds right. I just raised the pitch of the song up 1/4 step, just easier that way lol.
Nah, the label that owns this song. What happens when you use a copyrighted song in a video is the label that owns it will claim it and put ads on it and they claim all the ad revenue that video generates. Instead of taking your video down because you're using their copyrighted song, they slap ads on it and make money off it instead. That's essentially the only reason why copyrighted material is allowed on RUclips because the owners make money off it. Anybody who does covers like me on RUclips is making no money from their vids, trust me lol.
You do not need a baritone guitar (27.7 scale) to play this. 25.5 scale with 64-13 gauge strings will more than get the job done. Long ass baritones are useless now days. Use this method and you will find your self playing lower than A on a 25.5 scale. Mike Mushok's PRS SE baritone is a useless guitar. Looks cool, but useless and a waste of $750. Just a helpful tip.
I'm actually playing a PRS Clint Lowery SE here which has a 25.5 scale and I currently have a 56-11 set on it right now. It gets down to Drop A fine which is as low as I need to go on a 6-string. Don't care for baritones either, awkward to play, the scale almost makes it feel like your playing a bass.
+David Rose Yeah, they dropped it and any other song off To the Pain to Drop A 'cause they wanted the songs specifically off that album to sound heavier.
+theivory1 Because there's a finite amount of song titles and music ideas that you can come up with, there's bound to be ones that repeat especially your more generic ones.
Smackdown vs raw 2007....good old days :(
Absolutely one of the best covers I have seen..great job...

What are you tuned to for this cover?
Drop A#
ads? really? great album, recoil the best. do 'past it all' next? good cover bro. just share, dont monetize.
Record label puts ads on my vids since they claim most of them for copyright. Kind of out of my control.
you got a record label?

Drop C dammit. I hate detuning my guitar.
+hotman718 The song is actually in Drop A# but when played live They Drop it down to Drop A.
+David Rose Yeah, they dropped it and any other song off To the Pain to Drop A 'cause they wanted the songs specifically off that album to sound heavier.
I thought this was the real Alive and Kicking by Simple Minds. Why do band use a song title that's already been used?
+theivory1 Because there's a finite amount of song titles and music ideas that you can come up with, there's bound to be ones that repeat especially your more generic ones.
it is the real alive and kicking
