I'm not saying the beats belong to them. Its the sequence in which they are played, the routine. Its was one of their signatures back in the day. the entire clicking section, consists of 3 beats, which are played exactly back to back like the TDF. Its just respect for others who created that section of the routine, thats all. I say this, becasue we had also used this clicking routine in 1998 and we got it from the TDF. It sounded good. But we never said we made it up.

nice technique with the clicking...but it sounds a lot like the dhol foundations routine.

Don't get me wrong, keep doing what you're doing. But I lived in England and played with the TDF before (for the record, I'm not a TDF member), And I know the clicking section was orignally done by them. You have to admit, they did it first, that's my point. It should be acknowledged thats all. And any good dhol player will tell you the same. As for your comment about drum beats in a song? well yes its true, but when you copy 3 of them in a sequence which are exactly the same? thats overkill.

canadaRC this is no copy of TDF these beats every dhol player has. it dose not mean we have copied their routine, and also the clicking routine we did not copy it just sounds good in that way just cus TDF play that it dose not mean that it is their routine

click 1,2,3 is just a order the beats are played in we aint saying we came up with the sequence and yhhh if TDF play this sequence it dose not mean they invented the routine click 1,2,3 are beats and we played them in that order cus it sounds best not to copy TDF

That could be said about any musical pattern or beat, but it is still copied, since its the same arrangement as TDF. The clicking section was originally done in the exact same sequence by TDF, so it would have to be a HUGE coincidence that this group just so happened to arrange it in the same pattern. If we use your logic, then we shuold be able to copy lyrics to other peoples songs too, since the 'words' they use are also used world wide. It's how you put it together.

Ya, this is definately a copy of the dhol foundations routine. Credit for this routine should be given to TDF. I'm not trying to sound negative, but If you're going to use someone else's routine, at least acknowledge it.
