    If you love to see wild horses running then this video is for you!
    Here you will see the Onaqui wild mustang horses as they run free in the mountain range of Utah. Follow Karen as she spends five days with these magnificent wild horses and experiences their behavior first hand as they run to the waterhole. Watch the dynamics between the bachelor stallions, mares, foals and band stallions in the big herd of close to 200 wild horses. These larger herds are fast becoming a thing of the past in the western states to make room for more cattle and sheep grazing. We must be a voice for the wild horse if they are to remain free.

    Thank you Karen, for being a mustang champion, they need to be protected as a national resource.

    Readily apparent that these beautiful animals are loving life and enjoying it to the fullest.
    Sad to think they are periodically rounded up and their freedom stripped away. A real crime.
    Thanks Karen for another over the top video! ❤👌

      Thanks Phillip! Yes, such a happy, healthy herd. They are always at risk for a roundup, though. At least from the 2021 roundup they were all adopted out to homes. Not free, but better than the dry lots.

    I wonder if they were rounded up this year, because we traveled for three hours out there and only saw ONE. Thanks for this video. There's nothing more beautiful than a horse. I wish everyone who wanted to adopt and care for them could afford to. I'd sure love to be a part of something like that

      There was a roundup in 2019 and 2021. They used helicopters to drive hem into the pens. I don't know what the current plans are, but you can follow the Save the Onaqui Wild Horses on Facebook. It's a big place and horses move around and can be difficult to find at times. There can be a lot of what I call zero days when I don't see the horses and don't get any videos or photos. Most people don't understand what goes into filming wild horses...a lot of time and determination. :)

    We must end grazing of cattle and sheep on public lands. We need to bring back the large herds Buffalo were applicable, antelope, elk and dear. We also need many more wolves and Beaver on the landscapes. While the horses are not technically native they are native in a historical sense.

    • @karenkingart
      @karenkingart  Год назад

      I agree with ending the grazing of sheep and cattle in the Horse Management areas. Most of the cattle grazed are from big corporations taking advantage of cheap forage.

      Yes, I believe his name is Oreo. These are wild horses and they can get injured, especially stallions. Horses can heal by themselves. Nature knows what to do. It's survival of the fittest out there. Sometimes it can be brutal, though.

    Why Stallions of Utah, they won't all be Stallions will they, because Stallions being male can't produce young, therefore they would soon die out.
