- Hey everyone, here's the finalized version of my 4 portal gold & XP farm. It's more stable, it's about 10% faster than the previous one. It works in the Nether Update.
You reach level 30 in a little under a minute.

Q&A:
Q: Why am I getting tons of golden swords?
A: This is new in 1.16.100. Unfortunately you cannot prevent it.
Q: Why are my portals not lighting?
A: Make sure "Fire spreads" is on in world settings (gamerule dofiretick true). Make sure you don't have blocks ontop of the lava.
Q: Can this farm break?
A: If not used properly, yes. ALWAYS turn off the farm before unloading. If the dispenser system is broken, put the buckets back in their spots (full buckets inside, empty buckets outside). Very intense lag (realms) can also break it under rare circumstances.
Q: How do I find chunk borders?

A: no
Q: Why are my rates lower / not getting any XP?
A: Hold the Looting 3 sword. Make sure the difficulty is set to Hard, any lower will affect pigmen spawns. Stand in the center of the AFK spot to collect all experience. Rethrow the tridents to make sure they are linked to you.

Spent 5 hours building, completely finished it to see that the portals are 1 block to long and none of them will light so now it’s 2am and I’m gonna just sit in the dark for awhile EDIT: next day, rebuilt the farm and it’s working INSANELY well!!!!

A tip for whenever you are doing a build that requires a very specific amount of blocks, only put the amount of blocks you need in the hot bar so that you can be sure that you use the correct amount
I have built this farm in so many worlds, it’s the best gold/xp farm I’ve found so far. It never fails to impress. Excellent farm man, keep up the great work!

@@jack-jackil2705 minimal ingots, it's mostly nuggets, but they convert to alot of blocks. Since they broke furnace XP I had to go back to old faithful lol
@@jack-jackil2705 I usually set up an auto sorter with a lava dump for the swords, but this time I resorted to locking the hoppers, cleaning out all the gold pieces, then rapidly dumping them into fire with an observer clock

@@bagel8654 doesn't matter with this farm, just make sure it's centered on the 4 chunks like in the video. The farm operates via portal flicker, and to my knowledge isn't affected by y level.

So, this farm works perfectly in 1.16.1, if you have lag the problem is due to the exp not being picked up, replace the stairs in the kill chamber with upper slabs. If some of the portals don't toggle correctly check the repeaters are facing the correct directions and ticks, that the inner dispensers have water buckets and outer ones empty buckets, lastly that the farm is chunk aligned correctly. I also believe that the lever for the torch tower should be one block further upwards (or downwards) than the height mentioned in the video.
He definitely made a mistake with the glass being "16 high." I downloaded his world, the glass was 17 blocks high. That's why the torch tower needs to be ±1 block than what he said.
Btw, how did you solve the problem of being swarmed by hordes of zombified piglins in the Nether after using the gold farm?

swag pro you can use a dispenser to do it, just note that you’ll need a LOT of flint and steels (chests and hoppers connected to a dispenser)
@@IDKDabble I mean it's pretty much common sense that you'll need fire tick. There's literally lava involved
GUYS QUICK NOTE: Remember if you accidentally go outside the chunks while the farm is on it will break the portals lighting mechanism. A way to fix this is to replace the water buckets inside of the despencers and then the portals with begin to spam on and off again. THIS HAPPENED TO ME AND IT WORKED!!!!

Just built this farm for like the 3rd time now in a new 1.21 experimental world, and it works flawlessly. Never fails to impress me in terms of item and exp drop rates. Definitely would recommend making it an addition to your world if you need levels or gold.

Quick tip if you are playing in 1.18 you can replace the water in the dispensers for powdered snow works way better since water flows and powdered snow doesn’t.

Let me just say first off that this farm is probably one of the easiest farms to build for what it gives you and let me just say after only like 25 minutes of afk I got 108 levels. This absolutely made my day and for anyone that’s considering building this... BUILD IT!

Just built June 17th 2022. Works amazing! Maybe even a little to well. I’m on bedrock Minecraft on my realm with all updates up to date. No problem with anything. Worked right away. If it doesn’t work then it simply means you didn’t follow all the step perfectly. Church borders and all.

I tested this on an old world I haven’t touched since 1.17 and the farm still works perfectly. Didn’t change a single thing to what I built back then 3 years ago

Yo I need help
Just built this farm on a realm, and I built it on Xbox. I have a few suggestions and fixes for you.
1. Just as a general point, once it works, it works great! 30 levels in about 1 and a half minutes to 2 minutes. It is very laggy, but it does the work for you, so who cares?
2. This is a fix for something I’ve seen a lot. If the water in your dispenser is flashing but flowing a little bit, then the water is in the wrong dispenser. Also, make sure they are dispensers and not droppers. The bucket of water should be on the INSIDE dispenser. It will not work otherwise.
3. If your lighting system isn’t working. This is simply because fire spreads isn’t on. Luckily I own my realm, so I was able to warn everyone a day in advance and then turn it on.
4. Add pistons to turn the portals off when the machine is off. When the machine is off, the portals will stay on and, although slowly, pigmen will spawn and build up in the chambers. A simple fix to this is to run a line off of the main red stone line at the top, running into a torch, and then a piston. Make one of these for each portal. This way, when you turn the machine off, the piston will extend, and the portals will remain unlit.
4. As an addition to the last one, make sure to leave your killer on for a few second after turning off the farm switch. Killing every pig man helps to reduce lag.
5. This is very important: always make sure you turn off the farm. If you leave the farm while it’s on, especially if you turn the killers off and leave the farm on, it could lag your realm or world to the point of crashing and possibly corruption.
6. Build this farm in the middle of nowhere. I built mine about 4000 blocks away from our main city, and this helps with rates a lot. It also makes it so that while you lag a lot from it, no one else will lag at all. However, if you make a nether hub portal to it, you have to space it out with the farm because if you don’t, the farms portals will link to your nether hub portal and it may not work. My solution was a portal to get to the farm, then a 500 block ice tunnel in the over world to the farm itself.
Those are my tips, I couldn’t find most of these in the comments, so if you can please upvote this so people can see! I hate the frustration of mob farms and want to help anyone with problems out because this is a hell of a build and it would suck if it doesn’t work, I know the feeling.
I have fire spread on and only the east and west portals light even though the lava sections r symmetrical. Do you know why this could happen?
Logan Moss I’m not sure, only suggestion I have in terms of trouble shooting is check for any differences. Even something like a half slab or one block misplaced could effect the whole thing. Also, possibly you didn’t get rid of the place holder blocks in the portal that you place to start building a lighter? Check that ur portals have no blocks within them
Logan Moss if your portals are not lighting correctly you probably built them in the wrong direction or didnt check the chunks properly. I just finished building the farm and it works perfectly!
I checked my water buckets and they are in the right place but it still doesn’t work
Matt McCollam maybe check the repeater timings, Idk. Turn the farm on and trouble shoot it. If the water is falling down a little, then the water is either in the wrong place or the dispenser without water doesn’t have a bucket. If the water isn’t dispensing at all then it’s a problem with your observer clock. Try building one in creative (just the breaking system) and see if it works

Just making a playlist of all the farms I’ve made and this is honestly I think my favorite. Have had this thing in my realm for over 2 years and I couldn’t ask for a better farm. I've never made the redstone clock you used for the lava part ever since I was first learning redstone... Nostalgia. Also, I just finished building the farm, and it's great! One thing to note, though, is that if you're on a lower-end device, you should probably turn down the render distance all the way, because it gets a little laggy otherwise.
Guys, instead of using a water bucket, use a powder snow bucket as the portal ticking function works the same except if you accidentally go outside the chunk, the power snow won't flow like water
Just a note if your building this in 1.16.3, the button trick will break in 1.16.3 so you will need to place close trapdoors instead of buttons at the top of the drop shoots. Hope this helps some people!
Edit: More changes have happened! Just do what NavyNexus does in his vid, but replace the buttons with coral fans on the side of the blocks.
Another Edit: The coral fan bug has been removed so now back to trap doors

Yes, my thoughts exactly. I built this on the closest desert to spawn. I’ve used a lot more glass than this in my build due to the design of connected farms and aesthetics.
U think that’s a lot but if u got an efficient auto furnace smelter and at least a shovel with eff 3 or 4 then that’s like a bit more than half a single chest full of sand and I don’t even have a desert in my survival for 5k blocks so I just mined out 1 beach and got more than enough in end game u can get like 2 shucker boxes full of sand in like 1 minecraft day aka 10 mins

Built this last night, took me like 4 hours to finish it. I AFK as I went to sleep and woke up five hours late. I had 203 levels of XP and was able to crafted 13.5 stacks of gold blocks. Safe to say that this farm works and is definitely worth building it.

@@swimminglikeabrick make sure there are slabs above the trapdoors where he tells you to put them, also make sure the portal is 21 by 21 blocks
@@pieisawesome93 yea tried that, tried all different blocks and arrangements also tried replacing trapdoor with wooden blocks. Just doesn't want to work. Only time it kind of works is if I use leaf blocks and with a burning netherite block beneath. I dunno if it's a bug on that server

You basically just make a water channel that brings the creepers down a drop shaft and above that you have single lines of blocks with trapdoors on top, buttons on the sides and every second block, its not as good as java but its stackable, i have 3 over top of my base and 1 i havent finished yet in the shape of a plus and if i afk overnight i get about a 3/4 of a double chest to a full double chest

It’s amazing how far these designs have come. Starting with complicated tick influencing, figuring out it doesn’t need to be zero ticked, bamboo lag design, quad portals w flint, and now quad portals without any need for flint. It’s pretty awesome

Built it in my 1.20+ survival world and it still wok perfectly! One of the most impressive Bedrock farm ever!!!!
I finally completed this beast of a Gold farm on my PS4 and it's absolutely amazing! The tutorial was close to perfect. Wasn't hard to follow at all. If you do everything just like in the video everything should end up perfectly like it's supposed to. Well done on the tutorial and explanations, very clear and understandable.
Note: The farm was very laggy and the experience orbs used to make the frames drop massively but Navynexus has a fix for it though it doesn't get mentioned in this video or in the pinned comment. Anyway, you simply fix it by placing 4 rails in the afk area, a minecart with a chest on top and then a normal minecart. When you go afk just hop into the minecart and that should make it so that you pick up the experience. Also, lowering the render distance also helped. Now the farm is fully functioning at about, maybe 40-50 fps? Not sure but it doesn't feel laggy. It feels fine. Not quite 60 Fps fine but fine.

I don't understand the minecart fix. Placing 4 rails in the afk area makes it a circle and can only fit a single minecart. Explain?

Place to rails and place 2 mincards after daht place 2 more railes and the cricle complets with 2 minecarts

Why is noone watching this guy, i had built this farm in 2020 and it still works but how can jcplayz's not working farms can get more views than this. This is the best farm ever!!! His little gold farm is nothing compared to this but it still has more views.

If you are building this in a snowy or mountain biome, I suggest making the blocks under the 4 corner water sources glowstone so they don't freeze! btw great tutorial!

@@alastor2467 my sorting system design auto disposes of anthing over 3 double chests as I only have 25 clerics to trade with(uncured as curing isn't needed unless I am buying becuase of your stated reason of over abundence).

Exactly, I was beginning to think I was the only one that used spoiled meat. I also use it to feed my dogs. Used to breed them with it too but idk if that's changed.
Moral lesson:never build a nexus’ farm before waiting a week or a week and a half

I built this may 2022, still works, it's insane, thank you so much. To anyone who wants this though, you're gonna have to build an item sorter for the gold, and flesh if you want that, to sort out the golden swords cause it backs up way too quickly with them

After a few hours of building and around an hour of troubleshooting, I managed to get this built. I went afk overnight and it works like a charm. I got 337 levels and around 15 stacks of golden blocks
How did you build a storage system that could handle all the items?
Ganggang Lots of chests and hoppers, lol. I’m later going to make an item sorter that separates the rotten flesh from the gold. Totally recommend building this!

@@Kazavop I figured out my issue, I initially had the issue of the chunks messing up if you leave it on, but then I went back and realised that the buckets somehow switched places on all of them

Made this farm like a year ago, and it is still by far the best farm I've ever built. This was a huge game changer for my survival world I had, tons of XP, more gold than I can use, and tons of rotten flesh to trade to villagers for emeralds, this made me wealthy beyond measure. Thank you.

Commenting because you’re still active in this thread and have a lot of experience with this farm. I have used this farm for about 2 weeks now whenever I need a quick mend for my items or a few pieces of gold. However I tried to AFK overnight and was killed by a piglin lol. There was a single pig in the AFK chamber when I went back who was proudly holding my god sword. any idea how to avoid this in the future?
Just finished!! I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with this farm. The entire build has a beautiful, polished feel. The redstone is expertly designed and the mechanics are very well thought out. With three players in the afk chamber at once, it's possible for all three to reach level 30 in minutes. This farm is working amazingly as of March 25th, 2020. As long as this design continues to be functional, I will be building this in every bedrock world of mine from now on. Thank you so much navynexus and friends!

Tip:the swords will turn into gold nuggets when in Furnace
@@jonny_blocks they took to long to smelt to be efficient, not to mention all the fuel and the actual furnaces u need for it, just not worth it
@@bnrs- with blast furnaces, i only needed 11 to fully handle all the gold swords. works flawlessly. fuel isn’t an issue if you just build something like a bamboo farm to fully supply the furnaces

finished this build today in a survival realm. Works amazingly. Minor lag but it still gets the job done fine. Might need to run around the "AFK" stop to ensure you get the most XP. As for loot, since the new update you get a bunch of gold swords. That sucks but you can rig up a system to sort and smelt them for gold nuggets. Thanks for the vid!

Built this farm on three different worlds, and all of them worked very well. The rest of the people on the realm used it all the time.
One of my all time favorite bedrock farms. I've built this so many times (1.17, 1.18, and again today on 1.20 Experimental). I couldn't confirm this anywhere else online, but this does work in the Mushroom Fields Biome. Which is amazing because you dont have to worry about other hostile mob spawns. Apparently this combo only works on Bedrock (well, and the fact this is a farm for Bedrock) because Zombie Piglin wont spawn from portal ticking in the Mushroom Fields Biome on Java. The more you know!

Or just fill the corners where the killer chamber is with glass, at least 2-3 high, that way you never pick a trident at least not by accident staying on afk platform.

Just built this amazing contraption to fuel bartering! no complaints, but I will admit I added 2 extra features. One is I linked up the lava pits to the torch tower to freeze the pistons when I turn the machine off, and added in pistons and a block to obstruct the portals when not in use to prevent any accidental portal trips.
Lever one way, machine is on lava pits active with the dispensers. Functions just like it is presented.
Lever the other way, machine is off all components frozen with portals off. (Helps with any lag) I've tried to break it so far so good.

@@loganalger432 I’m not sure I don’t have any portals near mine. I don’t think it should, but just to be safe you should put your nether portal outside the farms chunk borders.

First of all I would like to thank you for the tutorial, very well explained, even I, who understand very little English, managed to build it.
Build the farm on a Realm server where I play with a friend. I left AFK for 45 minutes and these were my results:
100 xp levels

3 stacks of gold blocks (192 blocks)
3 double rotten meat chests (this is extremely useful for farming emeralds, since the cleric villager exchanges 1 emerald for 32 rotten meats)
I am satisfied with the results as the farm is relatively easy to build and does not use as many resources. I recommend that you make a relatively large item separator system to support drops from the farm.

So i finally built this and its AWESOME!!!
just one minor thing confused me when i built the torch tower. It was one block of. The reason is that navys portals are actually 20 blocks tall instead of 21. So if u start building the tower simply start one block higher.
There 21 high you just didn't count the ground block

Thanks for this awesome farm design! I had to build it twice before it start working but in my owne falt! I put it into a big hole I made, 4 chunks wide till bedrock, to pull some interesting farms into. Starter whas a quad iron farm and worked flawless, then I start at X-36 to build the awesome goldfarm but it failed and then I realised by myself that nothing is happen under this coordinate on -X than void and I destroid the whole farm to rebuild it from X00 and it works from the first moment nicely! No matter how big my storage is it always fills all the way and breaks
@@taMeska I made 2 item sorters for each kill chamber and 4 dispensers that burn the rotten flesh and swords but sometimes it's too much items so some items get burned

If you don't have a raid farm yet then this is an amazing way of getting emeralds! Trade all the rotten flesh to clerics!

I built a double zombie spawner and turned it into a drowned farm and have plennty of both!
Takes longer to get but easy for early game

Just made this it works in July 2021, I see people saying it doesn’t work (make sure you have fire spread on) and it will work like a dream. Down side though it does come with a little lag but for this farm and how well it works I’ll take it. Great build cool looking and efficient 👍

Built this quite some time ago now, pretty much around the time of this tutorial. Since then I have made various Ghast, Guardian, Wither Skele, and other farms, but this one still outperforms the lot of them. Super, super good. Well worth building some manner of item sorter to go with it too. I built a custom 4 lane ice channel item filter to absolutely maximise the collection amount of gold, and my whole realm dines out on Golden Carrots. One of the best things you can possibly build in bedrock 1.18.

@@nintndrew3235 yeah see the thing is I never said it was the fastest, or had the most utility. All I said is its worth the survival resources. And raid farms require far more set up and technical knowledge so its unrealistic for some players
