SO GLAD I SAVED YOUR VIDEO FROM LAST YEAR and the year prior. This was simple and straight to the point. I already had my sheet set but I had to readjust my "categories/data validation choices" and was lost as to how I did it a year ago. Thank you so much!
perfect! I logged into Google Sheets from last year and saw this new feature! Thank goodness b/c this is way easier than the other manual way I had been doing it.
Can we add range in data validation rule. For example: if i apply a formula to add 5 to the input. Can we add a range in data validation rule. Like if i enter 7 it adds 5 or if i add 13 then it adds 5 and so forth. Not a fixed parameter but a range of number from 1-100
I have a doubt : can we have 2 values from the drop down for eg : I went out to buy vegetables and I want to keep track of them. I add potato now I can't add tomato to the cell I want to add multiple tags in the same cells
I am facing a problem when selecting listed items. In my list some items are with same words only extra at end Eg. Bold, bolde, bolds When I'm selecting from the drop-down list, if 1st selection is bolds 2nd is bold, then bold is not selecting, bolds is appearing. Thankyou
I have one data validation range I want to use and 3 different criteria ranges(located in three different columns). Is there any way to include all three criteria ranges to that one data validation range? I spent an hour trying to find a solution, but I have yet to find someone who has covered this specific situation. I would really appreciate some advice. Best regards!
Select the cell or range of cells where you want to apply the data validation. Go to the "Data" tab on the ribbon and click on "Data Validation" in the "Data Tools" group. In the "Settings" tab of the "Data Validation" dialog box, select "List" in the "Allow" box. In the "Source" box, enter the formula that combines your three criteria ranges using the "," operator to separate them. For example, if your three criteria ranges are located in columns A, B, and C, and you want to include all values in those columns, your formula would be: =$A:$A,$B:$B,$C:$C Click "OK" to close the "Data Validation" dialog box. Hope this will help you!!!
