You have to keep in mind that Chinchilla (and Ren), although both have been doing music for a long time, have been signed to record labels before and already had a decent following etc, only really blew up on RUclips _this_ year. But the Voice started filming in December 2022 around the same time Ren released "Hi Ren".

It’s weird to see her in The Voice, because I feel like her following is already pretty big and keeps on growing. But it’s a great way to get exposure. She has the talent to win that whole thing, but doesn’t really need to win to get the exposure she needs.
The Voice started filming before Little Girl Gone was released so for us this will be a trip into the past of her carrier (applications closed in September 2022). When she did this her following wasn't nearly as big and now that it airs she already has the songs to back it up. It's a really interesting situation. I'm curious to see how she will do on the show but I'm also happy she is where she is now and more people might discover her this way and find everything she's already done :)

It's hard for me to believe that she is a complete unknown in the industry. Aside from open call they have invite only auditions for pre screened performers. I feel as though Chinchilla is probably in the latter . All this to say there have others who had a false start on their careers who have gone on the voice for the exposure . And let's watch our girl soar !

Like many MANY of us RENEGADES we found her through Ren..after that I became obsessed with her!! She is DEFINITELY a one-off AND she doesn't need to win the competition..This will just give her the exposure she needs to break out into the mainstream... although I think that Chinchilla cannot be placed in a box such as 'Mainstream'..00 as long as she's getting the exposure,who cares!!!!! To be honest I know she may want more exposure but think she is way above this talent show. Interesting that the only chair not to turn was Tom Jones who looks like he was still in somewhere back last week, and was still trying to find his hearing aids, but he did like her hat. Really ?? I hope she does well but she does not need this show.
Though I think going on these shows is a step backward ( you’re already better than the manufactured end product these shows produce) I can’t wait to see it increase your exposure.

Daisy is way too good for this show. I mean what can Ann Marie teach her? Ummm.. nothing. Watch “Fingers” live and you realize she has the voice, the stage presence, the “it” of a superstar in the making. I was disappointed she went on the show. None of the first ten winners are currently signed to a label and most of them don’t even having a signing career. The Voice or the Idol shows are where you go if you don’t want to have a career because the label will chew you up and spit you out and kick you to the curb. Daisy doesn’t need that drama. I think she is wonderful just as she is.
I dont know whats happened to Tom, but he is turning for some that are awful and not for others that are good ,the prime example is the blonde girl on the last show who only got one turn and she was a singer you would have expected Tom to turn for .I am worried for him as he does not look well .
Shes already off the show. She didnt make it thru the callbacks on the last show. And was only on it for about a minute. They only showed her performing part of the song. Wasnt even worth posting.
She said this was filmed last year..Ive been told a huge possibility she had to drop out of the show because of her album/songs shes recently/about to release. We will wait to see.
