The incident with the stones at the door of their grandmothers house symbolised the rejection of the Jews in Europe and how they had to find a new home. That’s why David took it to America and put it on his own doorstep.
The actress who plays 'Marcia', Jennifer Grey, was the lead actress in 'Dirty Dancing' (1987), called Francis/Baby. After a nose job, Jenny actually struggled to find acting jobs because nobody recognized her anymore.
Excellent analysis! I also noticed (in your video) that David and Benji switch colour palettes near the end. When they visit their grandmother's house, David is wearing all-red. Maybe this is because it takes proximity to his roots/grandmother to draw his emotions to the surface. When he returns, he brings the red (and the stone) with him. For Benji, his neutral grey in the final shot could hint at his future. Maybe he's left some of the intensity behind him in Poland. Maybe now he can strive for the neutrality his cousin had been embodying the whole film.
I agree with everything but Benji not using drugs before his grandma died, he said she slapped him because he was late to the dinner and stoned; for the rest, GREAT analysis!

Oh this is interesting. Thanks for sharing.
dude, that's an amazing insight
I felt that Benji's mood swings were an indication of him suffering from manic depression. Maybe as a result of his grandma's death.
Well explained..Thank you ❤
In the last scene, Benji wears blue clothes while David wears red. Nice little touch.

Thank you for the explanation. At the end, i was really confused. Why did he stay at the airport for hours. I thought he was homeless
nope he is looking for some genuine empathy ...some connection...
