This is exactly like watching tectonic plates being formed. You can see the massive forces at work, how much energy is being exerted when those floes grind up along the still-attached ice, even flat plates that have been forced up over the surface of the floes and are lying at angles where junctions were created by pressure. This is what is seen in rock where plates have dived below each other and pushed one layer up in the air. I love to study geology but never expected to see the same process in ice on such a short time scale. Thanks ever so much.
What the hell are we supposed to see all I saw was ice going down the river just like any other river in Canada in the spring time pretty lame
As a southerner my whole life its just so crazy to see big bodys of water frozen. Never ever happens down here

You must not see much ice... or videos of ice on rivers. This is nothing special.

It’s like Clemson overwhelming Ohio St
Awesome .
How often does this happen?
Nearly every Spring. This winter was so mild the ice bridge did not form.
My guess would be approx 1.000 X/yr.
Great video
Niagara falls is great my friend 💜

Please do not watch any of my videos.
