I have come to all the same exact conclusions you have. It becomes especially apparent when partying with my Merc or Monk friends who move and attack so much faster than I do. I barely get to kill anything before they do. But then when it comes to the boss I’m doing major damage and the stun is always a huge opportunity for dps for the party
Melee characters should get rewarded for the high risk of facing enemies head-on with corresponding high damage. Meanwhile, I breezed through the campaign with my Spark Stormcaller, with a mere handful of deaths, while my warrior struggles in comparison with both clearspeed and survivability. I like the more dynamic playstyle of dodge rolling and timing attacks more, but the game still has too many not-properly-telegraphed one-shot-mechanics.
it kind of makes sense that slams are slower and more stationary than strike skills, but the lack of any kind of movement seems like it really holds them back.. hopefully they work on that over EA

Early access also rolled out all the range characters, the only ones left are most melee.
Honestly agree with all your points, game does need to make Warrior flow better and absolutely movement is it!
