Kilts are a statement! My dad dressed me in a kilt for the first time when I was 8 years old to attend a family event on the Isle of Man. I have enjoyed wearing them ever since and quite often wear full dress kilt for black-tie events instead of my tux. I have also wear it casually at times just for the hell of it. Cheers guys!

I much prefer the much more useful and less formal Great Kilt. Mine is 8 yards of tartan. I have two different weight great kilts. One for Spring and Summer. One for Fall and Winter. Actually i have 4 of them 2 of each weight material. I do not wear them without my knitted wool "shorts." because I need the support.
i was hoping they would wear a great kilt here. showing how they fold it and the different variations of wearing it. i think this traditional piece of clothing is so interesting and beautiful (and it can be used as a blanket at the same time)... can women wear kilt too? or is it only for men?
very nice guys...you both looked very handsome in full dress, although I like so many others prefer the "cheeky" look...XD I did a variation on the Green Lantern costume for a convention...but it was Celtic not Scot, I wore a black kilt with a green lantern tee shirt and I made my own sporran and I even made a shillelagh with a glowing orb that I used to charge my ring in place of the traditional Green Lantern power battery.
Never thought of wearing a kilt until I got married. Since that blessed day I've been wondering how man has survived this long wearing pants! I'll have to try the 5th way but only for my wife! Thanks guys. Great video.

You can purchase all online and they will explain how to measure yourself for a kilt! Or you can go to a specific kilt maker. Where are you in the world??

You don’t have to wear a kilt if you dont want to. If you go into a kilt hire shop they will be able to help you pick out a neutral tartan and take you through the variations 😃👍🏻

Tip...put the shirt on first, it's easier than tucking the shirt in after you've buckled up the kilt.
That’s what we normally do when putting on our kilt but for the sake of keeping things PG we opted for the kilt first this time.
or just forgo the shirt, unless you have to wear one :)

just wanted to point out that if you put your kilt on before you put on your dress shirt in, then you have more chances of creasing your shirt

Most guys here will wear the traditional look to formal events especially weddings. Though formal daywear looks a bit different to evening wear.
