😄" Airports are more of ' a struggle ' within such big regions with mile-long Terminals and flights to Hell and back. My small metro region's 14-gate airport would love to have even a mere fraction of MIA's flights and passenger traffic. IF you've got a big local airport, ' count your blessings! ' "
Enjoyed your trip to the Airport, I use to work at MIA as a baggage handler/ sky cap it's pretty bad when it comes to dropping off/picking up someone there! It was designed in the late 60's so that maybe part of the problem with the traffic.
That airport is so intimidating, thank you for sharing. I laughed when you ended up in departures again because that's totally something I would do. Cheers!
I dunno what it is about airports, but I just love them! Despite how confusing they can be to get to sometimes! I'll never forget my dad making the same loop 6 times trying to drop me off for a flight and refusing to listen to me when I pointed out the signs 😂 Hope you enjoyed the time with your friends!
I really enjoyed this night drive to the airport and the gorgeous views of the city! 😍 It might have been a bit frustrating driving around in circles, but it all worked out! Nice to see The Bing Buzz went to visit you!! 😃 Thank you for sharing this experience, AK! 🤗
Kenneth, yes you safely made it to the airport. I also had a similar experience driving to LaGuardia Airport in NY. Great to see your friends. Thanks so much for sharing.
I was so tired . .I fell a sleep at the airport . .lots of those workers looked out for me, watching over my suit case and possessions. . They were God's angels. May God bless them
When possible, always pick up your airport guests at the departure level in those bypass lanes. It's WAY less complicated and confusing, Also, NEVER head to MIA until your guests have their luggage in hand and are ready to be picked up. Better for them to wait for you than for you to have to navigate the waiting game at MIA.
@@ActionKid they're ALL connected with elevators. The best place to wait is the cell phone lot on the east side of MIA, then scoot over to their Door Number, outside of baggage claim, either the center or outer lane, at the Arrivals (lower) level.
Thanks for showing this drive, ActionKid. At least now you know a few important things if you do it again. And it's nice they could visit from New York! Cheers from northeast Ohio. :)
That slight Arrivals lane works best when cutting through Departures when there’s heavy traffic. You can cut through it then switch to go into Departures at last min👍🏽
Signage in Miami leaves a lot to be desired. I have made that loop around the airport several times before. The Dolphin Expressway has been completely redone and exits moved. I have to really pay attention to which lane to use because you get such short notice from signage, especially around the Palmetto expressway interchange.
Nice ride to the airport , i’ve been there once at the Miami International airport a long time ago 🙂! I don’t remember much about it but this brings back memories ! It can be confusing airport , that one i remember ! Thank you you for sharing A K 👍!!!
I worked out there for 22 years. The best way to get into the airport is by state road 112 which is a little north of 836. It takes you directly there quicker Arrivals, which is downstairs has a more structured pick up method but you can definitely pick up family from either level
No... You go to the departures, less traffic up there. I do that all the time at Boston Logan airport. Just tell your friends to meet you in the upper level.
Unless they have luggage which will make them lug it in and out of an elevator. Stop clogging up Departures areas unnecessarily. Other people are in a hurry to catch a flight and there's no need to add traffic to an already stressed and busy area.
@@JoaquinRodriguez786 Your funny. Depends on if a ton of flights are coming in or going out. That time of night, they were all coming in. I have never even been to Miami. I only know what works in other cities.
@@JoaquinRodriguez786 I ALWAYS pick people up on the departures level. It's far easier and less crowded, less chaotic. I worked as a limo driver for years, and the departures level was always my go-to. You said, *_"no need to add traffic to an already stressed and busy area."_* But that's the point of picking people up on the departures level. It's typically not very busy or stressed.
A Dizzling sight...AK is enjoying the ride to Miami International Airport....picking up your guests in the nick of time , a good practice...since no parking is allowed...allow sufficient petrol in your tank is highly recommended ...regards from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia
Where are u seeing American Arrivals to the right? Up is departure. Down is arrival. Although I always tell my friends or family to go to departure to pick them up. Way easier
Miami International Airport is the worst airport in the country. The elevators don’t work, most of the people movers don’t work, most escalators don’t work, the roof leaks, the bathrooms are disgusting, A/C most of the time break down, it’s a piggy bank for the politician’s, a home for the homeless and one company one all the stores so if you don’t pay the right people you can’t open a store hear. The mayor all cares is about getting her cut .
I got to admit, Miami has a very modern traffic signal post that allows tractor trailers to drive under whithout worry and illuminated street signs and an L train system that also allows tractor trailers to drive underneath!
Be very careful in and around Miami International Airport. Many people get lost around there and become victims to the dangerous scammers who usually target rental cars that signal rich tourists to them. You should be okay in your own vehicle but still be vigilant. Many people prefer flying to FLL beause MIA has such a bad reputation!
So did I understand this correctly? you originally went to the departure lane by accident and then found the arrival lane but they actually did come out the departure lane after all for you to pick them up?😄
Just curious what time of night was it? I was surprised to see the light ride. Main reason we left Miami 2019 after a lifetime, traffic. You did end up on 2nd level Departure to pick up... best choice. Thanks for using the turning signals! If a longer wait, there's a Cell Phone Lot on LeJeune Road. Thanks for visiting MIA
I have live all my life in Miami i know the Airport like back of my Hand. But still Signs are a big Confusing specialty when they doing a new Construction Around it. and this Funny guys. Once Dad is a Local Mover and this Guy tell him follow me I will take you to where you need to pickup thing this guy didn't know what he was doing he took my Dad to the Arrival Section that is down below the Departure and the Truck got Stuck under the Small Bridge the Cops came and we had to dis inflate the Tires and go backward against the Traffic lol
Over here in Saigon I drive motorbike worth 2,000 USD due to bad infrastructure. Over there in Miami I would drive supercars worth 1,000,000 USD. The excellent infrastructure is propelling me to buy and drive supercars only.
Great recording Ken! Glad to see your channel growing. Ever think of diversifying into Florida _real estate_ especially now that a lot of New Yorkers are moving?
@@ActionKid Awesome! Other RUclipsrs have branched out into real estate (like Nick Johnson) in addition to their touring vlogs. Your channel could help a lot of New Yorkers relocate to Florida. Wish you the best Ken!
I dont want to look like an a.. but Looks like you when you got to the airport you were driving faster than 15 mph (I may be wrong) you have to be careful with the police if you dont want to get a ticket and passengers as well because they have the right of crossing. I f you are picking up at a passenger in AA as soon as you get to the part where the ramp splits stay in the right side because AA its the first one and have several doors, the last of the doors is the exit for the arrival of international flights.
Airports are always such a struggle 😅
Thanks for picking us up, Kenneth!!

You're welcome! The airport can be a mess to navigate
This helps me release all my anxiety I have about going to the airport seeing AK dealing with this.
Hahaha me too!!
What is with airports? They make it confusing to get in and out.
I know, they do!
He evidently saw he missed it, both times.
And that is why I take trains because they go directly to the middle of the city like the Pennsylvania R.R did in the 1840s until the 1960s.
Awesome AK. These friends are so sweet♥️They will enjoy their visit, I just know they will Have fun🌷🌷
I drove to the Miami airport to pick up a geographically challenged friend who thought it was near Orlando.
Calm & collective,well done AK 👍

Fantastic video!! Thank you for giving me insight on Miami and reminding me to NEVER EVER use that airport 😭😭😭
What a cloud night🌫️

have your pickups head out through departures. Significantly less frustrating.

AK some airports let you hang out longer than others. A good hack is go to departures easier to wait and less crowded typically.

You could’ve parked in American Airlines upper departure parking lot and most likely there were ramps to take you to the lower level.

Thanks for visiting MIA
Which car do you drive?
Now you have a gag reel...or a PSA for anyone doing this for the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd time.
Hello can you do FLL airport from Miami?
You sure can!!!
Much, MUCH easier and a better experience for every one!!!!
why can't you wait inside Miami Airport.
Because parking in the airport garage is very expensive!
They charge tolls to get on the Airport Expressway.
Next time take LeJuene Road.
It's FREE.
Better use FLL its free and much, MUCH easier!!!!
Even people who work at that airport get confused...
If you're confused driving around Miami or the airport just slow down or come to a complete stop. Perfectly acceptable in Florida. 😂

at least we werent the only ones lost they told my gf to go to departures lol and we were at arrivals i almost to her to get an uber lol
