Happy Pride!! Thank you for sharing more about your lives in this video. It was fun to hear that you met working at the same movie theater, and your zoom wedding clip was so sweet to see!! We missed the 2023 Pride Nite event but got to go this year with some of our friends and it was so special. I hope Disney adds more nights next year and continues to create safe spaces for everyone to be themselves. 💖💖💖

Okay, so I cried a little. I'm a straight white woman (I mean, I'm half Armenian but you know) so I don't know the struggles you have and the things you need to be cognizant of. I live in a midwest college town, which is, you know, academic, tends to the richer, and defiantly liberal so I don't think. I've mentioned before that we travel for concerts, sometimes internationally, and one of the big changes for the positive was at the first festival after the pandemic, there was so much MORE visible LGBT/queer representation at the festival (which is incredibly nerdy, so perhaps not surprising) and that the majority of the long-time attendees were happy to have new fellow nerds with us. Maybe to me that's some of what pride means - the fact that people who are visibly/openly LGBT can be a seamless part of our tightly woven communities without, to keep the fabric metaphor going, snags.
I could keep going, but no one cares. My mom taught me, at an early age, to understand and accept, through her actions. It's probably one of the greatest lessons she ever taught me and my brother.
