This is a very inspirational video. You’ve just got to keep on learning, one percent a day & having to have delusional confidence in yourself to block out all the BS opinions you’re going to have coming your way. You need to be able to have your own back when no one else believes in you

This is the guy that taught me multisyllablistic rhymes,
How to freestyle, kick lyrical hits off the tip of the mind
I always would try to script some punchlines
Developed my style through this channel's guide, I never realised
How much Drew gave into this youtube channel
Teaching you how to diss dudes, even if you're new to battle
This aint a full on verse, its just a short thank you
An expression of heartfelt gratitude for all that this man do
PS: I know some of the rhymes sound forced since these are one of the first few bars i have ever written, but I just wanted to thank Drew for how much he has helped me and others improve

Used the geographical excuse to justify my rap game, said I didn’t fit in the culture-but I dropped it anyway. Bars don’t need borders.

Many people don't know that in Nigeria we have some many Emcees and a lot of brothers that can speak patois. There is a city called Jos in Nigeria. You will see some real emcees. We in Nigeria respect East coast, west coast and dirty south rap, we have even jumped on drill now and we have our own kind of rap. Hip hop. Rap is a universal language. I am not afraid to spit bars in front of anyone and I am 42

This video is amazing. Don’t be scared to fail because at least if you actually tried you won’t be 70 years old sitting down thinking maybe I should have actually believed in my talent and put myself out there. If only. #NoRegrets

The thing about the Mars phenomenon, mentality etc. is that the public, the people we want to appeal to only appreciate certain aspects of this kind of art. It’s taken on its own form just like rock and roll and r&b. The consumer is a part of this problem. If someone (usually black) isn’t street enough or hasn’t descended from people who were a part of that then he has no “cred”. There is no requirement for the consumer. They just want to consume. This is why you get genres of rap like Emo, indie, underground, whatever. It’s like the first come first serve basis. The first person to dunk is the pioneer until someone invents a new way of dunking

As someone who's been wrapping in some former fashion, since I was 14, I'm now 35, I will be honest, I tend to wrap over, beats to form of therapy, I'm also totally blind, and have a really bad habit of not being able to remember my lyrics after I write them, because I can't read them as I am working on them obviously, as I'm wrapping, But everything you said is definitely spot on, but I'll also say this, as I was listening to your video. I realized it applies in other pursuits as well, the permission paradox, you have to do this one thing to be officially considered whatever it is, it could be anything, it could be a rapper, it could be a competitive gamer, it could be an MMA fighter, it's like you have to have this certain accolade to be officially considered, and I wanted to say thank you so much for making this video, because it galvanized me with other things that I'm doing, specifically something that I was uncomfortable, considering myself, and a couple of aspects of my life, as far as the wrapping goes, if you can think of something that would help me in terms of actually writing lyrics, memorizing them so that I can Actually have them on hand, that would be awesome.

The first point, about thinking muscian's are just special/born with that talent. I'm always shocked how many people start acting different just from fretting a chord on guitar, and doing a bit of tapping. No one just starts off good at music. If they claim they do, they're just trying to add mystique to themselves. I've seen so many people pick up drum sticks, or a guitar. Try to play for a bit without knowing anything, and make a comment that they guess whatever insturment isn't meant for them.

I Wrote 100s of Songs But my problems are REICURING Trust Issues Betrayal attempted manipulation backing people that arnt backing you. My art feels repetitive because the troubles are. I still attempt to write to keep momentum but ive achieved so much everything sounds dead and inauthentic. Momentum motivates masterpieces.

I can write but I cannot rap and vocalize. I get so tongue tied. One extra syllable or lack of a syllable will throw me off. I feel like I had a stroke in the past and what my brain wants to say doesn’t come out the same when I speak. I hate it lol

And some people judt dont want go be consuned hyped up or compatec lr bei g psrt of a culture thats not culture but industry
Artist expression often is not fir someone else than the artist itself
Its not to involve people but for fame and attention
When peole say certain artist rrscued their lives it was just an image created in their illusion
Words that they can say to themselves but its acmoment they listen to themselves and when the song appears
    Nothing else
    The biggest problem of mankind
Nit to see your own identity and evrrything is going on to hunt Idols identity as a copy

It can be hard to push through the limitations others try to put on you, but you can flip it into energy to proving them wrong as well
🔥 I would think that it had gotten better with this, but it's really still the exact same bull in the social landscape like 20 years ago about how you're supposedly more entitled to rap if you're Black and come from the hood than if you're White and come from the 'burbs... It's annoying, because as a White rapper you have to be about three times as good to rap to get somewhere with it...
I don't think that only has with relatability to do, but also that most Western Blacks that the hip-hop markets primarily consists of have a negative attitude towards White rappers. So it's only if they come with something so spectacular they just can't ignore it they bother to listen... But there is a big market for rap amongst Whites as well, and in one way as a White rapper it's better to try to appeal to that, but nowadays as well there are also so few true hip-hoppers left, that you might as well try to appeal to anyone with your raps.
