      @JessMarksofMotherhood  7 лет назад

      Vanessa Ramirez you’re welcome! And trust me my craft skills are pathetically minimal you can do it! Little girl bows are so fun to make!
      Another super easy alternative is these headbands www.etsy.com/listing/268154260/nylon-headbands-wholesale-wholesalewww.etsy.com/listing/268154260/nylon-headbands-wholesale-wholesale
      Just cut some felt material (1/2-1in square/circle) and glue the headband and than a flower/bow to it. These are my favorite though because they don’t leave an indent and grow with your baby.

  • @JessMarksofMotherhood
    @JessMarksofMotherhood  6 лет назад +10

    I keep getting the question on what material was used...I share it on 0:28 of the video...it’s a nylon/spandex mix. Just needs to have some stretch. I’ve also used jersey fabric for headbands.

    So I have a newborn , 3 weeks old and I love the big bow headbands! What measurements should I use to make the headband part so it fits around her head ? Most beanies doesn’t even fit her head right now lol

    • @JessMarksofMotherhood
      @JessMarksofMotherhood  6 лет назад +1

      Brianna Aldava standard newborn size is 13in so I would start there. You can then shorten if you need to. if you skip to 3:50 I explain how I did it for the bow.

    Great video you make it look so easy. I’m new to making headbands for my LO. I normally do 14 long & 4 wide for her. What size BOW do you recommend doing for this specific length? I as well don’t like huge bows just like you mentioned. THANKS in advance 😁😁

    • @JessMarksofMotherhood
      @JessMarksofMotherhood  7 лет назад

      Jasmine T thank you! I haven’t ever made one for a newborn 🤷‍♀️ I liked the 11in x 7in for my daughter so maybe 8in x 6in? It’s super easy to adjust by just sewing a new edge like I showed at the end 3:50

      Jetem WestMo machine is faster but you can always stitch by hand just takes longer and make sure to double your thread.
