The funny thing is, I still remember this game as "Next Car Game," I even watched this game back when it was just a few cars on a flat white dev-textured ground with a few car munching implements. Man, it's come so far.

The Loading is a bit much for me but overall love the game.
Even with SSD inside my PS4 it's still a long, but okay loading time. The gameplay itself is worth it.
You definitely aren't from the days when it used to take five days to download a ten minute porno clip.
Seeing the One X version as smooth and as clean as it is visually does bring me some hope that they paid some attention to the base Xbox One/One S version...
I think they didn't BUT the hardware is better so likely less fps dips so smoother gameplay.

I think you are being a wee bit harsh on the career mode. There is such variety in the gameplay that I never found it grindy at all. Every race is different, unlike some other racing games I could mention, where the AI is very boring and every race turns into a settings dependent procession. Wreckfest is the best driving game I've played to date.
Well i found the career always pretty grindy. But im sure the new version will feel a bit less grindy.
Guess if you're used to having a mod/cheat to unlock everything right away everything there after feels a bit more grindy.
@@JL-cn1qi He said at some point in the video that he found the PC Version also grindy. I guess thats why he used the mod/cheat in the first place.
My only problem is the easy al on some races

Regardless of the minor issues, I’m glad that I’ll finally be able to play this game on a Console. This is the best racing game we’ve had in ages on consoles imo.
FACT especially on the ps4 the xbox is SPOILED with fantastic racing games this gen while the playstation is lacking
SHAWKLAN 27 Forza isn’t that great of a franchise tbh, it’s just a cash grab now compared to what it used to be back in FH1 and FM4
E. Coli they shut down that studio because of driveclub which would’ve given Gran Turismo a hard time competing

I cannot wait to get this. I loved the demolition races on dirt showdown, and the variety of tracks looks great.

Me and my friends picked it up on Xbox Yesterday, we had so much fun, this game is a blast.
This awesome piece of badassary helps me fill the void that was an even more badass game from the 90s: Destruction Debry series. I love it. Its just a fun game
Just bought this on pc. Its such a great game and huge amounts of fun. The loading on pc is much quicker as i use an ssd. The grinding is not a problem for me as you also gain xp and money from doing a custom race. This game is a breath of fresh air and worth every penny.

Michael Peck soundtrack is awful imo, weak tracks and completely out of place. Some electronica that has absolutely nothing to do with the vibe of the game, plus a bunch of lame pop punk and shitty screamo. I look at rusty, muscle cars racing and trashing each other an automatically think Anthrax, Slayer, Slipknot, Biohazard, Gallows... fast and angry shit. We get nothing like that.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with the random glitchy textures on the career mode menus. aside from that and the long waiting times, it's pretty fun and rather gorgeous. I have some small gripes but nothing that nullifies me paying $30 for it.
I like how it is grindy. Because if I'm honest I hate the way forza is where you can get the game and have the fastest car in the game the same day. This I will have to put time into it and so will my friends. So it gives even more fun with competition to get good stuff to show your friends. But that's me I hope they dont change it
I’ve had this game for 3 days now on my Xbox One and I’m extremely happy with it. It’s very fun and addicting, the graphics are great, the modifications/paints are fun and creative, and the tracks are awesome. The only terrible thing is the load times. I’ve found myself waiting MINUTES for a single race to load. However, I am playing on the original Xbox One, so I’m sure they’re much better on the Xbox One X/ PS4 Pro.
I timed the loading times in your video and they were only about 30 to 40 seconds, which is fine to me, but I did grow up playing on the Commodore 64, where you go and have a cup of tea while waiting for it to load, lol, great video though 👍
I found Toca Race Driver to be grindy and you listed that as your favourite racing game of all time

I have actually finished a race with zero damage just a few days ago. It‘s not possible in every race, especially not in banger races, but in regular races it‘s very well achievable.
This game is not all too demanding. Runs pretty nicely on my old i5 2500k with a RX 580 8 gb... not the worst PC ever, fairly good, but yeah, not a monster either. I get 60 fps easily in this.

Awesome game, I stayed up till midnight last night to play this, and next thing I knew, it was 3am, lol, I've got the ps4 pro and plays beautifully, so smooth for the amount of carnage that's going on, I highly recommend it 😁👍

Needs more shit in career mode. It’s basically another arcade mode. I want a crew, pay for damages and other logistics. Not just updrafts parts like normal arcade modes.

I already enjoyed this game for years on PC and I'm glad there is new content coming along with the console release, because this game has a lot of potential that is still not exploited.

Wow I didn't know they ported this! Been loving it on Steam in early access. Brings me back to my PSX days and Demolition Derby. I hope they keep going with this game and make sequels!

You mentioned BeamNG. You should check out the official traffic in 0.17. Maybe a time attack series with traffic? Not quite fair for the cars, but would be fun. By the way great video as always.

As someone who is most certainly not a racer is this game really worth the money? Have LOVED watching you play on PC for years. Just wondering, thanks for all the entertainment, a fan from back in the old Daniel/Husky days.
This game needs Nitro sooo badly. I went back to play Flatout 2, and the Nitro system just adds so much to the game in terms of strategy! Right now, you are almost always better of not doing crashes in Wrechfest, as it loses you speed. In Flatout 2, you will very often gain speed by crashing due to the Nitro you get for doing so.
If you want the Rammer RS you need to go inside the track, near the wall and on the right of the white line. The AI didn't change it's pathway and they cross on the middle to crash into each other. Go slow where it loops and you win it easily. Also the Rammer has really cool mods and is very heavy so you can use it to do derby, but if you take all the weight out of it, it can race really well and is fast with good handling.
I like slow loading screens, they're like commercials. Take time to make food, get a drink, or go pee. And like commercials they're over by the time you get back, so scramble to the sofa.
Been waiting years for this to come to console!!!! Hyped

I bought a copy for the PS4 and I can honestly say I've never had so much fun playing a racing game. Wreckfest is hilarious at times and nail biting hard at others. The AI opponents are clever and very vengeful 😂 Awsome game id strongly recommend this game to anyone

As I see it here, the FOV is very narrow, making it all feel very slow.
I'm playing FlatOut 2 right now, so that's how Wreckfest looks in comparison to me.

@@veniaminmurashko2513 Ok, that's good! FlatOut 2 didn't have that so I didn't expect it in Wreckfest. I reinstalled of this is default FOV, or it was tweaked. I bet I could get used to it anyway.

I wasn't going to bother with this game but watching your vids I've changed my mind it looks like alot of fun.
i have it for PC, the PS4 and XBox One (regular versions) - I've been playing since the early alpha. Personally, I like the PC version the best followed by the PS4. They're all great, but my heart will always belong to PC versions.
It has some real bugs. But..... When it works it is a blast. Online needs serious help. More servers ? Choppy and well broken. If they work out the kinks. It maybe a huge success. Few more cars and tracks down the line.

I've always loved Wreckfest, but the career mode, I find, is really antithetical to what I think is the most fun thing about the game. Wreckfest, in my opinion, is best when you don't care whether you win or lose, but rather you're just racing to experience the chaos and fun of the physics model, so when you get screwed over by RNG it doesn't matter, because you had fun. Meanwhile, the career mode makes doing well SUPER important, so rather than RNG chaos being spectacular and enjoying, it becomes a pain in the ass. I still love the game for the carnage, but the career mode, IMO, isn't greatly designed for what the rest of the game is.
I honestly like the Grind itll Show The Level Of experience throughout the Grid online when racing with Noobs
Done 5-7 races online and it’s a right laugh,quite refreshing after gta.. no rage from flying bikes lol just fun even if you get smashed out on the last lap

Create your own custom race, fill it with lawnmowers on expert, take them all out and finish the race, its a way to get cash.
They need to sort out how you can welded to barriers by merely brushing them.
I did a 15 lap banger race and it was great only to get stuck at the end and drop from 1st to 24th...

i bought this game on pc back when only 2 or 3 cars were available. absolutely loved it and then i kinda forgot about it. i might have to fire up the pc and see what all has changed.

I had bad glitches playing career lawnmower figure 8 race. Somehow there was a harvester thrown into the race, it crashed instantly at the start and took out all but two other lawnmowers out and then the background started going all this crazy flickering. Easy win for me I guess lol!

It’s almost impossible for me to play online. At the beginning of every race everyone’s frozen for the first 10 seconds and then it tells me I’m going the wrong way the whole race even if I reset. Career mode is a lot of fun though
I don't know if anybody else has had this issue, but for me the game doesn't save, I did a few races leveled up a couple of levels and turned it off, when I put the game on again everything had reset back to zero and I can't find anything to save the game manually

I'm strictly sim racing and wanted something different...thisngame blew my mind. It's fun...kinda makes me think of twisted.metal in a sense. I did how ever experience glitching, black screens and lag here and there

I pre ordered this today off amazon, 10 dollars cheaper than on the xbox store. Digital is better imo but 10 bucks takes the win in my book.

Been playing for like an hour, and yeah it’s got some few glitches, it’s funny hope they fix them soon, the loading screen man I’m watching your video while it loads up, 😂 but the game it’s a blast.
Please dont complain about how expensive the cars are, me personally its great that the cars are expensive that means people will play it more to save up the money to get the car they want that means more destruction everything you ever want in a derby game wreckfest is the answer this game is %100 perfect the more carnage the better who cares if you dont win or complete a race you are there to smash shit up not win a race unscathed, if you gonna complain about this game then dont play it simply!!!! This game is for true destruction derby fans were fans like us dont care about not winning or finishing just causing absolute mayhem and carnage!!!!
