The problem is that communism in practice is the same as feudalism as it tends to be highly hierarchical with wealthy farm bosses and factory managers inevitably finding ways to consolidate wealth and become new feudal lords
I would say that the problem of lack of home ownership and private property is more from the changing of family structure. Boomers rely on social security, instead of thier family. Which requires more housing for boomers to live independently. Surging divorce rates leads to needing 2 homes instead of one. If these two things were removed available housing would increase by 2/3rds Edit: actually when you factor in divorced boomers that rare would be higher.
That contributes to the problem, for sure, but your 2/3 statistic is definitely off. That statistic relies on EVERY family being divorced with 2 houses, plus one or two for the boomers, which is not the case. It for sure contributes but I wouldn't say it is the main cause.
@@_d2082 50% of marriages end in divorce and is on the rise. 2/3rds is not 100% I said that if parents moved back in with kids and people stayed together we could easily, increase the houses available, by 2/3rds Possibly more, but probs not. If those 50% stayed together that alone is a 25% increase in housing
The whole point should be that it is a false dislchotomy to only be able to choose between communism or corporate feudalism or fascism. We need to address what is wrong with the world today by coming up with a system which is none of these bad alternatives.
There is no capitalism versus anything else. All there is is universal human economic behavior, defined as the exchange of goods or services or labor for more of the same. All there is is how it’s going to be regulated, under what over arching philosophy: less regulation or more regulation.

Excellent talk. Very insightful.
Hi!
Ot is highly like that two things will dominate this century. The fall of capitalism & the rise of something new we cant imagine yet.

very enlightening. however, feudo-capitalism would be a better terminology to use than neo-feudalism. also for reaosns given by her.

Communism can also be feudalism just like what happened in dprk

sooo how do you imagine it?
Organize production to meet needs through democratic ownership of the means of production. This is all communism is. It's a no brainer.
Sorry. The future is a resource based economy, technology trumps labor.
Resources are finite. This type of economy isn't sustainable.
i agree because we already life in it.

How do we divide recourses

Well yes, but actually no

I don't want to live under communism or Neo-fuedalism, I want my American individualism back.
