The last guy selling out of his garage…if you want to sell at retail prices, you might want to remove the Savers stickers and Goodwill sharpie pricing! 😂😂😂
The estate sale was pretty cool. I can see that this man was interested in history and he was a book warm ;) . Probably very intelligent. He loved art. Good artist too. The 2nd one . Wow. So much beautiful stuff. 😊😊
And again, absolutely love your garage saling and estate saling. I used to garage sale a lot. I remember those awesome ones. You would almost want to giggle with glee. I would go w/ my daughters, daughter-in-law, friends and we would discuss what we hoped to find. I can still see my friend skipping out of a sale with something I wanted, so anxious to give it to me.
I had a gift shop years ago and sold Bill Rabbit and Rick Cain ,, i still have packed away original paintings and statues .. A Wolf and a Pelican from Rick Cain,, kinda a sad story about him.. we got in a shipment and nothing was wrapped in bubble wrap and all was broken, his employees were on purpose trying to make him fail, this after he would let them take a hour during the day to yoga, nap or whatever.. I scored today too! I found a paper bag on the end cap at Goodwill....peeled back the $1.99 sticker....stamped by Rosenthal!! The real deal and in mint condition. I couldn't believe it. I just had it in my memory from watching your and Tiffany's advice on what to bolo for when thrifting.
Oh my gosh and now the garage now that should contain some interesting goodies. Oh, I’d love to get inside that. These are definitely one of a kind of goodies that I would love to be in your position to get my hands on some of these things. You made a killing today!!!!!!!!
Love your videos. Just have a very difficult time with pre-entry Estate sales. Been on the result end and it is a huge waste of time for me when I arrive (usually very early and first) and find the items I came for have already been sold or gone. Sorry no disrespect intended. I wait for your next video.
It was to thank me for helping her price the furniture pieces. Most estate sale companies presell items usually days before the sale to people helping work the sale you just usually don't see it happening.
Unfortunately, that is not a reality for the average public. 70% of the time, the pictures are posted, and I have driven and spent the time (at times hours) only to find items pre-sold, 'missing', or set aside. I would not have any issue with pre-sales if it was posted properly, so I do not waste my time. It just needs to be done better and more professionally with the public in mind(there are so many other situations that I have experienced-in other retail arenas it would not be tolerated). I do so appreciate the feedback. There were some beautiful finds. Thank you Danni as always. I appreciate your teaching and raising the bar.
FAIR DINKUM!!! That was INCREDIBLE!!! I love love love when you find great pieces at great prices! My favourite was the fused light fixture 😍😍😍. The resin wolf would have been cradled in my arms all the way home! Wolves are one of my favourite animals. To find one NOT howling is fantastic and rare. I bought a huge wolf statue that is the size of medium/large dog and he stands in my lounge. Love him! Thanks for sharing your fun shopping trip!
I liked that big Rooster you left behind, I love chickens, and have had them ever since I was 2 yrs old, That was a long time ago. But still have some lovely purebred chickens. But those garage sales are a good deal ,they have full containers of cleaner's, wipes, Band-aids etc. cheap. Saves a lot of money buying new!!!
Oh, wow! Just wow! I would have picked everything you picked, plus MORE! An opportunity to score at a quality estate sale is highly profitable and is so satisfying to the soul of a reseller. Its sounded like the man working the estate sale made you a “bundle deal” on your final selection of purchased items. I love that when I’m out on the hunt. Congratulations on a pick well done. P.S.: I was hoping you’d buy that large bird mirror towards the end of the video, the one you that you weren’t fond of the color of the border. I imagined how Rachel could have added colorful touches to the frame of that mirror turning it into a magnificent creation with a few brush strokes!! Oh, well, I’ll keep daydreaming. ❤️🎉❤
Brilliant video Danni. Foo dogs vary in style and some can be worth an aweful lot. Don't know much but one style has females paw on cub protecting family the male has paw on world protecting from outside . Some don't have paws on anything but one has mouth closed so is holding breath while other has mouth open letting breath go as in Ommm. Love em but don't know any more than that. Xxx
I have to say it makes me crazy when you go in those rooms marked do not enter. As a person who helped with Estate sales, it was hard enough answering questions, helping lift items, making sure people weren't switching tags or just plain stealing items. At one sale we had someone steal something from the off room. He purchased one item from the room because I gave him a piece not knowing he had gone into the room until after the sale. Then he came up with another item I didn't recognize so I told him to ask the lady upstairs. (She owned the business) He didn't like that answer so he went out the back door with it for free. Please be respectful. It would be like some one going to the Good Stuff and going thru your office when you weren't looking.
Folks for Future Estate sales I would block the do not enter with a large item or have a helper just watching. Folks it could have been a room someone has PASSED Away in .
Two people on here obviously don’t know you Danni. Everyone else knows that Betsy works for you at The Good Stuff, that you’re the only one there at the estate sale because of that and that you’re having fun with her and Will, your cameraman! Of course you wouldn’t have done that otherwise! Some of these comments must make you crazy Danni, 😤 because they make me crazy! Lol Hang in there, we love ya! ♥️💕♥️
The swan piece just really spoke to me sitting on the table. It looked ready to fĺy but his wings were made from drift wood. Great haul. I would have picked up the Andrew Wyeth book but then I live in Maine, not far from the real Christina's World. 😊
Hi Danni 🌼What a great couple of sales. That watermelon chicken was AWESOME. My kitchen is 🍉. My Dad bought me lots of chickens because he said It couldn't be just watermelon 😂. I also have cool metal coffee decor. Love the Zuni Owl. That pottery bowl❤.that bride bowl. So many things. I would have grabbed. Loved that odd shaped wooden box that had fingernail polish on it. WONDER what it originally held? That mirror with the birds you passed on. I would have grabbed up. Very unique. You could have added a different color to the frame. BUT that Peacock was AMAZING. You did good with what you bought. A couple pieces of that furniture would have left with me. I love out of the ordinary pcs.
Danni I have the hippopotamus from the museum. The staff named him William. He was a Christmas gift from my husband. He is very special to me. I just love him so much
