@@maxwellmagida7317 Yes Itoje and Sinckler are brilliant players in their positions but they don't have Simmonds extra features on top of his normal, grinding forward duties: he can do bonus things like sprinting down the wing to score or beating a centre for pace with an outside break. In terms of all time great England Number 8s, he is not there yet - he would need to set up a world cup winning try to equal Lawrence Dallaglio.

Watch Simmonds in the game against decent opposition Leinster 2021 and Englands 6N 2018. He has been shut out of the games or been man handled.

If the England team was playing brilliantly, I'd understand it, but it isn't. Simmonds was good enough for the British Lions, but he's not good enough for a poor England side.
