I still love my Pochette Métis. I’ve had it for about 7 years. It’s still my favorite bag to take on vacation. My Mom and cousin each have one and they love it too.
I have the Pochette Métis in the empreinte tourterelle color and the lock me ever mini in greige. I love both, but I use my Pochette Métis a lot more. It’s great for traveling, doing errands, daily wear, etc. It’s so functional and spacious. I love the compartments.
I can't wait to see it! On a different note, i notice there is alot of dupe of bottega bags people buy these days. That's the only downside with brand. So keep that in mind.
The Givenchy bag is gorgeous! Yes, it is open but the structure seems solid and soft at the same time ☺️ Demilier one that is similar is straight ugly next to the Givenchy🫢🫣
If the bag is open at the top I can recommend going on etsy and purchasing an organizer with a top zipper. I got one for my open Aspinal of London Tote Bag, because I also don't like when everyone can fully see inside
Completely agree with your selection. I sold my Louis Vuitton Graceful PM and my YVSL Loulou Medium today. I loved wearing them for many years, but look forward to finding a new style for spring 😊. Your videos are great for making better choices 👏🏻😍. Thank you for your honest reviews 🌷👌.
The thing is, the wide open Dior and other open totes are not intended to be used as handbags. They're meant for carrying (toting) things like books and other bulky items, carried in addition to a handbag, and the weight of the items keeps the bags from falling over. I have a variety of similar (non-logo) totes in various sizes and use all of the sizes based on my needs at that point in time. Zipper totes are great, and I have those, too, but many of us also find the open styles useful. The Polene was obviously impractical at first sight, despite looking cute and very trendy.
I bought a Celine Tie tote in 2017. Petrol blue leather, plum suede lining. I thought it was gorgeous for about 10 minutes! But the long strings did nothing but get in the way. It was a large bag but I was restricted as to what I could put in because of the compartments. Couldn’t make sense of it so I sold it.
Hey Steph! This was a very helpful video. I noticed there is no Botega bag in your collection. Are you planning on adding one? I would love to see a review one the andiamo style.
I agree with you across the board, Steph. The Saddle Bag always puzzled me. How can that shape be functional? I love your educational, fun videos ~ mille grazie! 🥰🌻
Steph, Logical choices. Can I ask you about your Lalage Beaumont bags. I really want one, and I'm afraid to take the leap. Do you find yourself using yours often? I really want the Maya bag in Large. I just think they are lovely. I know this is a little off topic, but I'd love your imput.
I just bought the LV on the go east west in black leather last summer in Rome after my YSL wallet was stolen out of my tote bag. I wanted a smaller bag with a zipper and loved the pretty gold metal strap so I purchased it but It took a bit to get used to. I get so many compliments but it is a bit small for me so I trade it out with my Coach crossbody bags often. What are your thought on the on the go east west?
Hello Steph. I will not repurchase the Marc Jacobs tote (leather version ), it is beautiful but heavy. I’ve tried the Coach Cassie twice, it didn’t work for me, similar to the pochette Métis, there are multiple compartments and you cannot fit a lot. Have you tried an organiser or pouches on the Hobo bag? I use pouches on open totes.
There definitely have been bags that I regret buying, one being the Chanel Trendy CC. To me, it’s their version of the Pochette Métis and since I love that bag so much, I wanted the Trendy CC. But I couldn’t get it to work for me. It’s too bulky and not a fan of the Chanel plaque on the top of the bag.
I can confirm the bigger Polene is also a nightmare to get into. And it’s HUGE but the opening isn’t big enough to put things like a cardigan or scarf in there so it’s a bit redundant in terms of the size
Good afternoon Handbagholic ☺️ As someone new to RUclips videos on every thing designer….Why do I never see the check ‘neverfull’ on the shelves of designer bag lovers? I prefer less structured bags like the neverful though it’s only in the light check and not the more ‘common’ brown LV version. Is there something I’m missing? 😅 Also I’m a bit odd it would seem in that I don’t like ‘The Birkin’ Hope you’re having a great Friday 🤗
All the bags you showed are beautiful. It is a shame they did not work out. I agreed with you 100% for the reasons you will not repeat. I could not afford the Pochette Metis, but I bought a bag that was inspired by the Pochette Metis and I found that I can’t carry everything, so I gave it away. I have found that boxy totes are not for me as a handbag. I bought 4 of them before I finally figured it out.😂😂. If I am using a tote bag for work, then that is when I want a boxy tote. Other totes have to zip close for me to use it like a handbag. I am getting fussy in my old age.😂😂😂😂😂
Hi Steph love all your choices I was wondering where do you sell your handbags and do you get a fair price for them I have a few I want to sell but want a reputable company thankyou 🇬🇧😘👜jx
I don’t know why, but the Pochette Métis has never appealed to me. That Dior Book Tote tapestry is gorgeous. Looks great with jeans. The Rive Gauche, I see what you mean about getting messy. The Dior Tote does not seem to have that issue. The Saddle Bag in brown leather was beautiful, but agree with what you had to say about it. The Celine looks much better. As far as open bags, I always think I would get a zippered insert, but that would be a struggle to open and close, and as you say, people can see inside, not a great look unless you are by the pool. The On The Go, not a fan, but that’s just me and my lifestyle. As far as bags I regret, I would say the Neverfull in Empriente leather because it is heavy with thin straps, but it is still good as an overnight bag, and I use the pouch separately, so not going anywhere. I kind of regret my Chanel medium flap due to cost. My mini flap works better since I am petite and the price point means I am not afraid to use it.
I also have a couple of Saddle Dior bags and yes, I love them, but they are not really a good purchase. And yes, I also have my LV Neverful Steven Sprouse with the lovely roses in it and I never use it but always think I should sell it… some others I never use because they are very pretty but heavy are the Fendi Selleria and the Prada Gallera…
I so love the look of Celine Classic box bag, but won’t (and keep reminding myself not to) purchase again coz of the limited capacity which irritates me. That said i’m still holding on to 3 of these :P
I have OTG mm and pm. I’ve carried my mm only a hand few of times. It stays in the glass case. My pm I really like. When carrying the pm, I sometimes put a scarf on top. Where did you sale your mm? I am wanting to do the same.
Yes it's an intereting one isn't it, I also use the PM more, maybe because of the strap and for summer I love the colour of mine. I sold via my Instagram
Yes for me handbags has to be at some level of security that is why i will never buy an open tote too. LV Neverfull still better than a book tote or LV On the Go. Love the Celine 16 and the LV one. Thanks for sharing
I recently sold my reverse Pochette Metis as I was so over it and the satchel style. I would never buy the DIOR saddle, it’s so overrated IMO and awkward looking. I agree with the bags that don’t have a closing, they look nice however, not practical in the slightest
I disagree with you on the Givenchy. It looks so good on you, and if you're wearing it, the way the bag folds over, no one can pick pocket you. You should try using it in warmer weather before you sell it. It really does look so good on you. As for the saddle, I have 2 of them and adore them both. Not every bag is made to carry the earth, the mini Kelly for instance, some bags are made to make an outfit, and no bag makes an outfit, as far as I'm concerned, like the Dior Saddle carried on the shoulder or on the arm. It is not a crossbody and was never designed to be. Dior adding the strap is just Dior trying to cater to the public.
Dior saddlebag is probably my least likely to buy bag, mainly because I’m left handed and it would be like I’m wearing it backwards. Hard to think why but the lopsided nature of it is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me 😬😂
I gotta say one can see how unsafe London is…as most luxury RUclipsrs based there are so afraid of walking around with open/partially open bags. I do wear open designer bags ,but I’m not so afraid. Would not think about it at all, and I live in Prague.
With crimes running amok everywhere, any bag without a flap to close for security is a better option. I think the Givenchy is a better option. Even though it doesn't have a flap to close but safer/better than the Dior tote and LV totes/neverfull once it’s on your shoulder.
My big mistake was a settle Miss Dior clutch with a laughable handle. It looked very cute, but in hindsight it is an oversized wallet on chain, a sloppy chain too with compartments in the bag that makes it unusable. My super mini Gucci marmont bag is more used than the Miss mini Dior that i have never used. I freaking beat my self up for buying anything from Dior after the scandal. I expected so much more from something calling themselves " luxury" . But yes, wallet on chain with compartments can not really replace a good neat handbag. Dont settle.
The pochette metis i had stinked so so bad 🤢 just one month after owning it! The microfiber was the culprit. Even a new piece had a faint odour. I never want another LV bag ever
I love my pouchette Metis, I have 2 & why sell things, fashions come back round. I regret buying a speedy 25, too small on my body and I have never used it!!!
Be honest, you like the lock me because it looks expensive, whereas the metis looks practical. Metis is a great bag, more practical than Lock me, but it doesn’t scream luxury. Don’t bring the pragmatism as a reason why you didn’t wear it
Interesting you think I'm lying? I prefer the one larger compartment on the lock me, as I said in the video. How is that not honest? Yes I agree, it also looks better.
Are there any designer bags you wouldn't purcahse again? Share below why...
The Dior tote bag is gorgeous!!
I still love my Pochette Métis. I’ve had it for about 7 years. It’s still my favorite bag to take on vacation. My Mom and cousin each have one and they love it too.
Me, too! Passport fits perfectly in the external pocket for easy access. 💕
I have the Pochette Métis in the empreinte tourterelle color and the lock me ever mini in greige. I love both, but I use my Pochette Métis a lot more. It’s great for traveling, doing errands, daily wear, etc. It’s so functional and spacious. I love the compartments.

If I ever could afford luxury handbag, I definitely would purchase the pochette metis and the on the go pastel. Those 2 are my dream bags 😍
Completely agree with every one of these. I too sold my pochette metis and on the go MM and don’t regret either decision.
Yeah same, I considered both for a long time and honestly never think about them
Your Givenchy bag is gorgeous on you! The Demellier is no substitute.
Please let me know where you purchase your pink 🩷 liners.

OMG I loooove that LV On-The-Go in that color! I keep looking for it preloved in an excellent condition 🤩
I love the mini Lockeme ever! I bought because you mentioned it few times in your videos and I love it!!!!! Thank you 🙏🏼 ❤
Why don’t you use zipped insert for your tote bags? They help for everything to be in place and nobody can see inside
Love the pants you had on while trying on the yellow saddle bag. Do you remember what brand they are? Thanks
I bought a Celine Tie tote in 2017. Petrol blue leather, plum suede lining. I thought it was gorgeous for about 10 minutes! But the long strings did nothing but get in the way. Yes I do 😄

Really glad you enjoyed the video ❤️
I have a Pochette Métis in red empriente leather and I still love it.
Thanks for your honest feedback on these bags. Your makeup looks great!😊
Steph, Logical choices. Can I ask you about your Lalage Beaumont bags. I really want one, and I'm afraid to take the leap. Do you find yourself using yours often? I really want the Maya bag in Large. I just think they are lovely. I know this is a little off topic, but I'd love your imput.

I have the Polene shearling too. I love it but only put a couple things in it so they are easy to find.
Your bags look all in a great condition! Can you give advice how you maintain them? Do you any leather conditioning cream?
Light grey bags really suit you, more than black ones I think
I can confirm the bigger Polene is also a nightmare to get into. And it’s HUGE but the opening isn’t big enough to put things like a cardigan or scarf in there so it’s a bit redundant in terms of the size
Thanks for sharing! Yes a cute shape and size but not very user friendly, I also won't be getting the larger one
Good afternoon Handbagholic ☺️

Hello,
Can you link the bag liner you had in LV Lock Me bag? Thank you 😊

I have the Celine 16 on my wish list. I think it’s the perfect classic, use forever bag.
Amazing one to have on your wishlist, one of my favourite bags to use
I also have a couple of Saddle Dior bags and yes, I love them, but they are not really a good purchase. And yes, I also have my LV Neverful Steven Sprouse with the lovely roses in it and I never use it but always think I should sell it… some others I never use because they are very pretty but heavy are the Fendi Selleria and the Prada Gallera…
I so love the look of Celine Classic box bag, but won’t (and keep reminding myself not to) purchase again coz of the limited capacity which irritates me. That said i’m still holding on to 3 of these :P
I do love the classic box bag, have it in black
I have OTG mm and pm. I’ve carried my mm only a hand few of times. It stays in the glass case. My pm I really like. When carrying the pm, I sometimes put a scarf on top. Where did you sale your mm? I am wanting to do the same.

Ooooh I still dream of one day purchasing the Dior tote bag
Ah nice, which size?
I disagree with you on the Givenchy. It looks so good on you, and if you're wearing it, the way the bag folds over, no one can pick pocket you. Hi Steph! Which bag is the purple one with the lion head just under your roof window?
@@Shunnorway its the Prada kafir? Bag
Hey! It's the Prada Cahier bag with lion head, they don't sell anymore but you may find one pre-loved.
My Valentino and the Celine Teen Triumph. ❤I was influenced on both and poor decision!
Can you please tell me which Longchamp you have? I can’t find it on their website.
Yes pls tell me the nm elf your Longchamp le piage bag? Is it nylon or leather?
Name
Dior saddlebag is probably my least likely to buy bag, mainly because I’m left handed and it would be like I’m wearing it backwards. Hard to think why but the lopsided nature of it is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me 😬😂
Hi, can you make your amazon store shopable to US customers pls? (you can do this in the settings). I'm sure you would have a very good clientele:)
where did you purchase the bag liner?
I gotta say one can see how unsafe London is…as most luxury RUclipsrs based there are so afraid of walking around with open/partially open bags. I do wear open designer bags ,but I’m not so afraid. Would not think about it at all, and I live in Prague.

You have my favourite neverfull
❤️❤️ yes my favourite print on the neverfull! Very grateful to have it
The pochette metis i had stinked so so bad 🤢 just one month after owning it! The microfiber was the culprit. Even a new piece had a faint odour. I never want another LV bag ever
oh no, that does not sound good! No one likes a stinky bag
I drool every time I see your Christian Dior book tote on your shelf. It’s gorgeous.
Thank you ❤
Nice Video
This Dior saddle is never going to win on function!!
The Dior saddle reminds me of a liver!
I love my pouchette Metis, I have 2 & why sell things, fashions come back round.
I regret buying a speedy 25, too small on my body and I have never used it!!!
As beautiful as the Dior, YSL or Polane are, they are not practical for me. I feel like they will easily get dirty.
Steph I Just Wanted to say that I really really love all your recent videos so so much and what a beautiful beautiful Designer Bags😍😍
Thank you so much Mansoor!
Be honest, you like the lock me because it looks expensive, whereas the metis looks practical. Metis is a great bag, more practical than Lock me, but it doesn’t scream luxury. Don’t bring the pragmatism as a reason why you didn’t wear it
But the Dior tote bag, I agree, it’s not a great purchase at all
Interesting you think I'm lying? I prefer the one larger compartment on the lock me, as I said in the video. How is that not honest? Yes I agree, it also looks better.
