Isak's voice is incredible. You believe every word that comes out of his mouth. That 'crying' voice! This guy is a superstar!
I would not call it a crying voice. Isak's timbre is velvety, and he clearly values the text as much as he values the melody. He seems to be speaking to his audiences from his heart which is very endearing.
Isak was only 17 on the day of the blind auditions, turning 18 later. He made every song a hit🎉💖

It is such a soft tender voice which rings with sensitivity and vulnerability. I agree, he has a remarkable voice. And I love these Norwegian guys that have the confidence to wear pearls.

Better yet, he was not always perfectly "on pitch". He was tuning the chords without even trying. The sure sign of a true musician.

Damn, he’s actually very controlled. He still held back on us, though! I doubt we saw everything he can do. Super nice and effortless, for sure. He stayed in his comfort zone, which ain’t a critic. Sometimes there’s just no good reason for pushing it. He’d be every producer’s dream. In deed pitch perfect.
Great control. Knows exactly his musicality without him trying. Flawless notes hits - so emotionally intense. This kid surely gets a huge legion of fans as he sings like a professional singer at his age. May this kid get a very good manager to match his story telling musicality - if ever he loses, a record company will surely get him. A real talent 👏🔥

Agreed. Natural is the perfect word because unlike many contestants, he doesn't have any training or a musical background. I don't think he even wants to sing professionally. He did this just for fun, and sadly, this may be the end of his musical "career." Unlike many other contestants, there are no videos of him singing as a kid, or videos of him after the show ended. Most contestants would take advantage of the exposure to further a singing career, but he seems content to fade into the background and resume his life in e-Sports. What a waste of an incredible talent.
I stand corrected. Another user posted that he's giving performances on Norway and working on a recording. I hope someone posted videos of these performances for his international fans.

He should have WON! He was better than anybody on that show that season!! Isak has one of the best voices I have heard in decades. But, he will go far! Someone should sign him to a record contract before he gets too many offers!!! He is AMAZING!!!!!

Whichever judge Isak went with, I think missed the boat completely with him in 2 critical ways. 1. Listen to his voice in the first song compared to the last two: his voice has a very pleasant natural resonance but the later songs are all much higher pitch where his resonance does not come into play. 2. In his blind audition he incredibly puts his hand in his pocket at one point and YET remains intensely emotional. His natural physical manner is to be quiet and still and let his heart and song take all the focus and do all the talking, but in his later songs he's waving a hand around as if to express emotion with physical gestures - but the problem is it's not his natural method of communicating. Sincerity is everything and while some people are inhibited and need to learn to express themselves more, he was 100% relaxed and expressing himself 100% originally in a fascinatingly unique and winning style of casual intensity in the blind audition. I do believe he could have won with better song choices and not being encouraged to move.
@@angganda2195 I have news for you. Whether you in every performance wave your arms, or stand still, you will be doing the same thing on each occasion, AND, guess what, you might be singing differently each time.
@@greatbriton8425, true but that means they would have to change it up a bit. Yes it is called The Voice but they still look for variety in other aspects as well. It was good to see him move a bit more but I like is other performances where he moves less.

He's got breathtaking vocals and he sounds like he's on the edge of stardom.
This guy has a gorgeous voice. He has a natural instrument. That is a rarity. His breath control is very good. He'll get better with practice. His vocal phrasing is beautiful. While that can be "trained" further, the natural inclination is there. He has excellent stage presence. He establishes a rapport with his audience quickly. He is responsive and sincere. All of these things make for an excellent musician , singer and performer.
Let’s hope Isak keeps his individuality. So often these talent shows push artists to what THEY think is acceptable to the masses. 😢
I don't think he has any stage presence. His voice just flows so smoothly and naturally, but it could be coming from a pre-programmed robot. He pulls his mouth once during the battles to simulate a smile and then smiles once somewhere at the end of the show. He tries so hard not to make eye contact with the crowd. His talent is undeniable though.
His voice is pure magic. I love him singing this song. For such a young man he is amazing
The pristine clarity of that young man's voice is startlingly beautiful.
The judges are waiting perched on the edge of their seats for this young man to cut loose. He's got the range. He's got it all. But he keeps them dangling, suspended, waiting for a part of the song that doesn't come. Jump out of your comfort zone and soar above their expectations. You got this! Spread your wings and fly with that gorgeous voice!
Isak is brilliant but can we also talk about the amazing arrangements and production by the crew!?

Isak is extremely special. What a gorgeous voice he has. I love seeing his transformation throughout the show, his confidence growing and his voice being honed into the beautiful instrument it is. He has an angelic tone.

But the 2 last in his own language open my fountain and i cry of gratitude ... Yes before french was the universal language in culture but now it is english. It is OK ! This is guy is magic, and he could have easily won. But he switched in the semi-finals to songs that over 90% of his audience would not know.
Why would you say that? Both the song for the semi-finals and finals are well-known in Norway and that's all that matters. Alene Sammen (Alone Together), for example, was a COVID project that received wide publicity. The lyrics are based on letters written by the public about the loneliness and isolation felt during COVID-19. Why do you feel that 90% of Norwegians don't know those songs? Or do you think that other countries somehow have input on who wins The Voice NORWAY???
FYI, "his audience" is in Norway so I'm willing to bet that "90% of his audience" do know those songs. So what are you talking about?

It’s so nice to hear a singer who sings a song with feeling rather than one who belts it out like Pavarotti in full voice.. so many of these competitions favour volume over musicality.

Hah. Yeah, he has these big puppy eyes and this aw shucks demeanor. The eyes are often downcast, giving a sense of shyness. Then there the unusual inverted smile. Finally, he seems awkward around girls, at least around Jeanette at the end of the second song. Watch his reaction when she goes to hug him. Adorable.
