This is so over the top (even for the 90s) I don't know if this is supposed to be a serious movie or a comedy. With that said there is one thing they got right, unlike the first civil war, America can't be divided along any established geographic lines. Polarization and division is in every state, every home, and every room now.
it's outrageous this movie is unavailable anywhere in the world. THank god I bought it on dvd 20 years ago. It would be so enlightening and revealing now
Of course a movie that predicted the future and warned us all about the next civil war was released nearly 30 years ago with Phil Hartman and Dennis Leary, and none of us have ever heard about it.
I remember when this movie came out...it was silly..funny...unthinkable. Watch it today (2019) and it gives you goose bumps. Guess John Titor was not that wrong lol
God I could show people a video of buttered toast on a plate and they’d go “wow so phophetic if I told them it was more than 8 years old and was meant to be political.
A movie about Idaho. This is historic. I don't care what it's about, it mentions Idaho more than once! Finally recognition from the rest of the Nation for something that isn't potatoes 😂
I have seen this movie. Rented from a video store in 1998 or so. If anyone gets the chance & can find a copy of it somewhere, watch the movie. Then watch the news of today from every source possible (Fox News, CNN, local news, etc.). You may find the reasons that the second civil war happened in the movie "Second Civil War" are not as far fetched as one might believe. I only hope we do not get to the point where America goes through another civil war.
Conspiracies were fun when you wernt living in them.
Damn, things were really tense on the SNL set between Phil Hartman and Chris Farley.

I’m from Idaho, makes sense we’d be leading the way in a second American civil war
I really want to watch this movie now.

There are a lot of famous actors in this. Phil Hartman as President!
To think this all could have been resolved with an efficient, centralized Monorail system.
Feels closer now too.
RIP Phil.
Is it oddly comforting to know things were f’d up almost as bad in 1997 as well?
