If u will recommend the pro can someone tell me if this refurbished model is certified.

Correction, Beats Solo Pro's are On-Ear headphones. Not Over-Ear.
As an Apple fanboy, I have to disagree with your review...The Sony’s are superior in almost every way compared with the Beats, especially in the noise-cancelling and sound quality aspects, which funny enough you said them the other way around.
Jack Li I know right. I’m disappointed.
Sony have fake bass
LG G8 Is boss! Yes, I am not arguing against that. I am just saying it’s over-boasted.
He really said beats had better noise cancellation
@@twistedoracle1144 bruh
Sorry bro just bought the Beats. I'm returning them for this reason. My daughter's Sony 1000 m3 sound way better. Not even comparable. Even our old pair of QC 15 sound better than the Beats. I might order the new B&W instead. Apple watch Apple phone...Do you work at a Apple store or for Apple? I didn't purchase based on your review. But your review smells kind of Apple fan boy...Sorry
@Ezugo Obuekwe Yes sir type of music and your own sound preference. What doesn't sound great to me might sound fantastic to someone else
@Ezugo Obuekwe Yep gotta take reviews with a grain of salt. I look for areas of commonality. If everybody says the hardware creeks. Then there's a good chance your hardware will creek. In the case of on ear headphones. I don't know why I tried these in the first place. On ear has never worked for me. They push the backside of my earlobe against my head and it's ticklish and makes my neck sweat. That's nothing to do with the Beats. That's just me and on ear headphones
Gotta remember it varies from person to person.. and it’s not fair to say someone who likes these headphones are instantly Apple fans (not saying that’s what your doing). You could just like the headphones. I’m going to pick these up soon so hopefully I can get my opinion on it..
Got these for myself and after testing, I absolutely love them. For me I can literally use them for hours and not get too uncomfortable. Best *on-ears* I’ve ever used. Plus the audio quality is quite good. ANC for on ears is great, but not as good as the over ears (for obvious reasons).
@blsessex agree man
sony: good at everything
beats: by dr Dre
Well beats is bought by Apple so it “Beats by Tim”
I have the Beats Solo Pro and the Sony WH-1000XM2 (the previous version of the WH-1000XM3)
I prefer the WH-1000XM2 for the sound quality and the comfort but I prefer the Beats Solo Pro for the design and the integration with iOS so you have to try them and see which headphones you prefer
The Sony’s sound *AMAZING* out of the box. I know *some* headphones need breaking in before you can judge them properly but the Solo Pros sound crappy compared to them out of the box. They’re both very comfy imo and I have nothing bad to say about the Sony 3000s or the 4000s but I’ll give the Beats a little while to break in. The Studio 3s are still a *GREAT* alternative to both of Sony’s high-end headphones. 👌
Have your solo pros gotten any better, because mine also sound horrible out of the box
Sony uses better Bluetooth codecs like ldac
@@parkeralexander8199Never had that issue. Mine sounded amazing out of the box, and still sounds amazing a year later lol.
@@erv5890 Huh that’s weird maybe I’m just so used to in-ear headphones that I thought the over the head sound bad. I ended up returning them and just sticking to the AirPod pros.

Well, LDAC or not, there's not a very noticeable difference.
@@lawrencerichards5057 yes! My beats Solo 3's are super cramped and I just got me some 1000xm3's today and they're so much better. However, I've yet to understand how to tune down the noise cancelling because it cancels out way too much which is good, but not good in certain scenarios. Either way, I'd imagine they're far superior to the solo pro, and they'll be the earphones I'll buy again and again. These things are a beast.
@@ivanavalos3911 unless you have high quality audio files to take advantage, regular 128kbps MP3 files don't sound different but him using high quality tidal makes a difference
I bought the Beats Solo Pro’s. Have not been sorry for one moment. Hours of usage does get uncomfortable, that is true. But I use them when really needed, not as a standard add on to my daily existence. The Beats over ear Studio’s suit that requirement better.
Is this video a joke? I have both headphones and let me tell you. The sonys are significantly better. He is extremepy biased. Definitely an Apple fanboy. Horrible review

Lets be honest. Beats look the best
Pear ie they have great design, but lose in every other category aside from that H1 chip connectivity
I got them and I got the same color as him and they are amazing but the light blue is more vibrant in real life then the video
Yeah look great sound like crap only for 300
they sound and perform better have overall better sound quality then the solo 3’s and have more battery life then the Sony’s (which he falsely suggests) the solo pros are the best beats they have made along with the wireless studio 3 over the ears.
@@thepowerofthegodhand7003 if you didn’t order them from apple, you will not get the real beats solo pros. That’s the only direct source even Best Buy is being sold fakes with the same size speakers but cheaper material
I love how nobody is complaining about the plastic on the Sony WH_1000XM3 but is complaining if there is just a little bit of plastic on an other pair of headphones
No way the Beats sound better. LOL
That's what I thought haha
Maybe because the anc was on.. Turning it of, I think Sony is better.. I mean using it with android phone and ldac on, no equalizer
@blsessex No they don't you idiot I bought beats solo pro and I returned them for the Sony.
@blsessex Beats are overpriced products that aren't even as good as Bose or Sony
They do
I prefer the Beats Solo Pro! I’m an Apple 🍎 fan and love the integrated Apple ecosystem with the H1 chip. I also prefer the smaller footprint of on-ear headphones versus over-ear headphones. More than one color option is nice also; mine are gray.
Just spent weeks trying decide on a good set of ANC headphones. I didn’t think the beats would win out but the solo pros did. Sony products are always hit or miss in my experience. I have and awesome set of Bluetooth headphones from them that are great but 6 years old and not ANC. I bought Sony BT buds with noise cancelling a year ago and I spent some much time trying to get them not to drop out and they only got worse with every software update. I will admit that I would have preferred a good set of Sony but I cannot depend on them. The Solo Pro actually sounded better than the previous models’ of beats; though not perfect. The ANC was great despite being on ear and they were $100 less.
For reference, I am an audio engineer and have never cared for the hyped up beats sound. These are not as hyped as before and I am not buying studio headphones. Mix the iPhone functions, they are just better for me. Not disparaging the Sonys but people should not hate just because of the brand.
11:35 Thank me later
Why are we comparing a on ear to over ear.
Price? from where i live, Beats is $29 more than sony
Nelson that's like comparing a pickup truck to a convertible. It just doesn't make sense.
jtothada06 That’s a stretch...
@@SanzSplitStream One model completely encloses the ear like driving in a truck. One model leaves a portion of the ear exposed like a convertible. You say stretch I say your opinion.
Nope that’s a stretch
Lol he said the Sony’s are his headphones and the beats are not. Guess what that means? Paid ad
Beats is the on-ear headphones not over-ear. The Sony is.
In the sound quality test why don’t any of you testers use a full orchestra classic such as the 1812 Overture that would really give a full spectrum?
Lmao.
People hating on Beats not knowing that they are much better tuned than sonys. Sony has the same sound signature beats was hated on in the past. Loud boomy bass that makes them sound cheap. Sure you can eq them. But that eq just isn’t powerful enough and most headphones eq apps don’t have enough bands in eq to real make big difference. In my experience its much better when you add bass than when you reduce it.
Who reviews headphones only hearing one song, lets go to Flossy Carter for an unbiased and well done review
RaLLyKaTz OoO but at least he admits that those headphones (Sony xm3) sound way better than any beats headphones ever and that doesn’t require you to be an audiophile in order to notice that, like they are not even close

Not really. Most Sony or Bose headphones feel cheap compared to the Solos lol.
@@erv5890hell no
ahhh I really used to like this channel before this video... I get that the beats solo pro are a massive improvement but everybody else says that Sony's are way better in terms of NC and sounds quality... theres people even testing them with binural microphones or something like that.... so I do believe this comparison is highly biased
LG G8 Is boss! nobody’s using Xperia tho
He's biased... against his own Sonys? Ok.
The sony have overboasted bass and he does not like that. People have different taste.
@LG G8 Is boss! Thats not true... the sony's do have support for AAC. Also, he said that the beats have better NC... that's just not possible... go watch jimsreviewroom video of the beats solo pro where he uses binaural microphones to test out the NC
LG G8 Is boss! I get what you mean but that isnt true... I’ve owned beats headphones in the past and have used them with iphones and android via AAC and the sound experience has been the same. Now when it comes to connectivity thats a completely different story but the sound would remain the same. Trust me when I tell you... Sony xm3 used with any phone out there would sound way better and crisper than beats solo pro... those codecs do not make such difference. The guys is just biased... nothing else.
I really believe that the sound when you had transparency mode on the beats beat the Sony by far in fact they beats the heck out of them
He's probably comparing the unboxing experience lmao
and?
@@isleaf69 lol someone's on edge
@@lowkey6134 whatever that means sure

Seems a bit biased if you ask me , especially because the Sony will only sound best on an Android on LDAC and on iOS it will be limited while the Beats being inhouse support their own codecs which are good quality
Ironically, the audio on this vid was a bit terrible
they might use 16 inch macbook pros microphone. Its my guess
So the Beats solos sound better than Sony with noise cancelling or without ANC, and was Sony's EQ Active or not because Sony EQ needs to be active to sound nicer.
o998 7745 pretty bad when you spend so much on it but you need a app to set up sound that dumb
I agree the Sony’s are way better than the beats... but imma cop the beats because it looks fire 💯💯💯
Did you even watched the video? The Solos came on top on the most important things.
Why do people complain about the lightning port on the beats especially iphone users why yall want a type c so bad when you can use your iPhone charger
Agreed. If you have an iPhone, why would you want to have a different cable for your headphones?
treat this like youtube rewind 2018
Did this guy just choose Beats over Sony for sound quality! He has absolutely no idea what he's talking about.

Hes literally comparing an average over priced pair of headphones vs the best pair of headphones, sonys are so much better
@Ezugo Obuekwe imo techincally
Bose QC35 are better than both
@@Moose185 bro Sonys are ten times better, better noise cancelling, sound quality, features, bass, they have way less noise leaking, and the mic is somehow a little better. The only part where the Bose headphones are better is the slight difference in comfort.
Neat comparison however after trying out the Beats for commuting (& returning them...) they're not even remotely in the same league as the Sony's. Voices and chatter cut through the Beats the same as they do every non-Sony/Bose ANC headphones I've ever tried. The sound signature leaves a lot to be desired as well, the Sony XB900N's are a way better comparison for these (even though they're still the much better buy). At the end of the day it's all subjective and I enjoy watching videos like this because I'm a bit of a nerd... but these two aren't even close to being in the same league.
Interesting review. I haven't tested the BEATS yet but a friend at the gym bought the SONY's last week and asked me to set them up on her iPhone. Very sweet sounding headphones with plenty of bass and clear treble. BUT for me as someone who loves design, the design is non existent on the SONY's. They look horrible and my first impression was that they were very plasticky - I kept thinking of how beautifully made the Bowers & Wilkins P5 were in comparison or the DJ type headphones - BEATS Pro's. I really felt that the design or lack of it and tons of plastic let this product down and would prevent me from buying a pair. Just my honest opinion (and 10+ years working in radio / broadcasting studios so I guess that I'm quite a perfectionist).
Dude, clearly, you don't know what you're talking about here.
Sony's noise cancelling adapts to your environment though. You don't just flick a switch and expect it to it block out all noises. From what I understand, it's to help you be more aware of your surroundings. You can even adjust and control the Sony noise cancelling through the app that comes with it. And another thing I've learned from personal experience, you have to adjust your equalizer depending on the headphones you are using.
as in you have to adjust the eq to make sure you get the best sound?
@@Sidiann
Well now I actually own a pair of the XM3s. I haven't even touched my equalizer, and it is some of the most crisp sound I've ever heard. I could just imagine how much better it would sound if I took time to adjust my equalizer.
There's also many different noise canceling levels for the XM3s. It's also recommended that you adjust the noise canceling level depending on your altitude. A quick click on the app or a button on the headset will trigger the headset to take a few moments to adjust to your altitude.
In my experience, with noise canceling and music turned on, I can't hear anything in the outside world.
@@rwplm Thanks!
what is it with your apple ads nowadays in your channel?
This videos a joke, the sound quality is exceptionally better on the sony's, you can EQ the Sonys and give them headbanging bass
Yes and no. The Solo Pros lean to a more neutral sound signature (surprisingly), while the Sonys lean towards a warmer sound signature, a preference most people like. A flatter response will pick up more nuances, but that entirely depends on the quality of the drivers and a flat response does not always mean good sound. The Sonys still sound good, but their warmer sound signature affects their treble range due to their heavily emphasized bass response on default for some reason. Their Bluetooth compression algorithm doesn't help either. So it really depends on what you listen to, and what type of sound you prefer. I own a pair of Momentum 3s and they crush the Sonys when it comes to clarity due to the quality of the drivers which keep the bass from over bloating the mids and highs. So yeah, the Sonys will only sound good with specific genres, and so would the Solo Pros. The Momentums are perfect for me since I prefer detail.
This video definitely is freaking biased because obviously Sony sounds better than beats , I m sure most people will agree with me
Idk bro, have u listened to both of them yet? I cant say for sure as well but I really enjoy my solo pros
Is that an assumption or something you've actually verified? Not saying you're wrong, but dismissing a product because of its brand is a great way to miss hidden gems.
Nathanael it’s just my personal opinion, I’m sure people who love beats sound signature will continue prefer beats over Sony . I tried both in store , for me I felt the beats just overloaded with bass which I can’t hear other instruments well while I listening to a song. For me Sony provide more of a whole body , balance sound stage where overlapping of instruments is not a issue
literally every beats headphone: R&D? Do you mean R&B?
If you want better connectivity with all of your apple products and the look with decent sound quality then beats. But if you want good sound quality, noise canceling, comfort then Sony.
He literally said Beats sound better, also various audiophiles I checked said they sound awesome

I was thinking the same thing
Beats microphone sounds a lot better. However I don't like wireless coz they cost a whole lot more than wired ones.
the Sonys are much more superior to the Beats in every way with may the exception of talk quality. This is so obvious that a comparison is unfair and senseless.
Have you used both before headphones in the video before?
yes, I have.
@@Shinobi_6 does the beats hurt your ears more after a long use?
yes, they do, because they lie more on your ear than over your ear and they got a stronger contact pressure on your ears than the sonys.
...and they hurt already after a few minutes honestly but try it by yourself.
ill choose beats over sony because of the great built quality the sony seems fragile if you use it everyday overtime.,.
Beats had better phone call sound
Plenty of great reviews of the beats pro on youtube and tech review sites. Comments reek of childish sony bias ironically complaining about alleged and unfounded apple bias. Also, differences in sound profile preferences exist, and to an extent sound quality can be subjective between two products. If you like rap, then you like heavy bass, so you'd go with beats or sony xtra bass and not an m3 or bose. Not everyone feels the need for audiophile levels of sound quality.
The beats sound better with the microphones
*sniiifff*, I smell bias
why ?

Augusto Galindo bruh what? The iPad mini 5 has the a12x while the iPad Pro 2017 only has the a10x, 120hz doesn’t matter since most mobile games don’t even support it and you’re probably right on speakers but the iPad mini will definitely be supported for longer and more portable but sacrificing battery and screen quality for a smaller form factor
I would get the iPad Pro since it’s cheaper but check on eBay or summ, you can definitely get a pristine one of either with warranty for cheaper, I got my iPad Pro 2018 12.9 inch for $850 (retail price: $1269) and it has warranty and was in pristine condition and it was from eBay
TheBayo 148 iPad mini has A12 not A12X. A10X gpu is better than the A12
BBallTV uh no it’s not, the a12 has 3 billion more transistors than the a10x, has faster cpu speeds and is based on the 7nm process so would be more efficient, the difference in normal performance is slight so it doesn’t really matter that much

Can you compare Studio 3s and WH-1000 XM3s?
First of all, this comparison will not actually count cause it's between on-ear (Beats HF) and over-ear (Sony WH). Beats should leave aside before comparing it with Sony XM3.
Sony is way much battered in sound, even using no EQ effect. Its deep, details and sharp ! You can find every turn of tone very clear and specific if your source will perfect.

Inky wear mine an hour or two at a time but I’m hearing they can get uncomfortable after long use. I like the beats sound better and the Sony noise cancellation. Nice video
That's upright a lie. You're undoubtedly on the apple bandwagon.
Yashua Fradkin could be but that doesn’t explain every other thing
I would buy Solo pro’s but I discovered Studio3’s and my Dad is gonna buy the Sony WH1000XM3
X Fire solos and studios are highly different kinds of headphones, not comparable. If you’re listening to music you don’t want to buy the studios.
Thanks! Exactly what I wanted to know.
Artem Gruzdev lol I think you should watch another comparison video. This one seems biased to me. I have beats and I have always known this Sony headphones to be king. Oh, I’m also an Apple fan boy but I don’t let my love for Apple blind the truth.
A very good review.
I wouldn't test with an iPhone. You only get aac. With an android you get up to LDAC... Which is as best as you can get.

If you can pass this test, then your words mean something.
Everyone loves to praise codecs but most people can't even tell the fucking difference.
