It's ridiculous. After Paul's roll away last year on the Johnsonville Bratwurst Basket Trashcan, I thought they'd figure out those things are a drag on the quality of the game. However much the sponsor paid is probably what Calvin might lose if he drops down in the money by 2 strokes. It's dumb. And I boycott whatever companies sponsor those redneck garbage pale bilboards.

Uli is absolutely correct needing a marker for Calvins drive installed! I simple pin with GPS coordinates that pigs your phone as you walk by on most people's 2nd or 3rd shot so you can bow your head to Calvins drive.😅

The square basket stands need gone! Seen several times when great shot gets screwed cause of those "Let's do marketing here!" things. They need GONE! I know it's fair to everyone, but is it? Better the player the more likely to have a long approach shot hit the stupid thing, whereas lessor players won't come close? So penalize the better players? A handicap? Just the pole, please, unless elevated and then thar be a reason for such a thing underneath. Preferably nice soft, non-treated, wood.

@x8lika8x putters are round, not sharp like diatance drivers. They would not affect rollaways. And a 3 foot radius of sand wouldn't remove the fear of people running a scary putt. What makes a further putt scary isn't a roll away, it's the fact that if you miss, you got a 30+ comeback putt, OB, or hill drop off on the other side, essentially a death putt

Design idea to help reduce roll-aways (after seeing Calvin's second on hole 8): Imagine draping a cone shape wide at the bottom outer rim of the basket down to a point on the ground at the pole. This inward slope would tend to push discs downward, better than the vertical koozie. (Couldn't literally use the basket)
