So very fine. Each player has become so adept and aware ,supporting each other, playing a great tune together.

Many thanks, kassiniru. Composed in 1920 by Walter Michels and Lindsay McPhail. Tuba Skinny play this in A flat. Most bands I have heard go for a lower key, such as E flat or F. For those fans who like a challenge:- What is the meaning of Shaye's circling hand signal at 00:48 to 00:50 and at 03:54 - 03:56?

I'm guessing it means to stay on the current ''groove'' or jam that they are on..............................

@@brendamello2202 Well done, brenda mello, for being the first and only person to have taken up this challenge in the four days since I offered it. Your instinct is correct. However, the full explanation is as follows. When Tuba Skinny play 'San', they often treat the Middle Eight of the Chorus as a break to be taken as a solo by one instrument, while the rest of the band plays stop chords on the first and fourth beats of the bars (as happens in this video at 01:47 - 01:56, where Craig plays the break, and 02:19 - 02:27, where Barnabus takes the break, and 02:52 - 02:59 - Max's turn). But her circular hand motions are to tell all members of the band to play right through the Middle Eight on those occasions. Shaye introduces yet another variation for Robin's solo: he is allowed a full 32-bar solo chorus against stop chords (03:07 - 03:39) ; but when it comes to his Middle Eight (03:23 - 03:31), she calls for TWO stops at the start of each bar (see her two-finger signal at 03:22). It is very helpful that kassiniru's video enables us to admire all these signals (and others) quite clearly.
