I wonder how the peanut butter infused bourbon tastes compared to Screwball, which is like the Fireball of Peanut Butter Whisky. I bet it’s better but less sweet and also cheaper
The fact that Samoas aren't represented has made me sad, but Thin Mints looks great.
Samoas are the caramel coconut ones right? I'd start with butterscotch schnapps and malibu. Or cuz that might be too sweet you could do butterscotch schnapps, coconut cream, and golden rum.
@Rose bless your soul
samoas are the best cookies
unliked, unsubbed and calling the police on you.
also writing an angry letter to your supervisor
I love how you also include the millilitres in your newer videos! Really helps us international viewers! Greetings from Finland!
In this comment section: Everyone raging about Samoas not being included.
And I'm sitting here going "What the fuck are all these cookie flavors? Girl Guide Cookies come in Chocolate or Vanilla!"
Don’t mind me. Just here to help the algorithm.
Yeah! Algorithm Squad for the win!!!👍👍👍👍
What?

Can’t get enough of your videos! The perfect entertainment while sitting in the bar (at home, that is) eating friday dinner with the wife.
The best cocktail channel. Thanks again.
2:02 That Bob Ross reference was greatly appreciated
How are you going to do girl scout cookies and not do anything for Samoas?!
The thin mint cocktail is how I first learned to make a brandy Alexander. Nearly identical recipe minus the frenet and girl scout cookie and a touch more cream and brandy. I'm going to make it this way now though!
Nice! I have some homemade Creme de Menthe that I was wanting to use. Definitely making the first one tonight for dessert. Thanks Nick!
Thin Mint: I'm glad you used brandy! It's half of one of my favorite winter mixed drinks, the snowshoe. Some people use whisk(e)y, but I've enjoyed it so much with brandy. Any way, it's simple: Half and half brandy and mint schnapps (or other mint liqueur) over ice. Some brandies don't work as well as others!
In a similar vein I did make a popcorn old fashioned after drinking one at a restaurant in Amsterdam. As it turns out Monin actually make a popcorn syrup so this was fairly easy to make and like you I used chocolate bitters from Fee Brothers in my case.
You could have made a Samoa using some coconut rum and dulce de leche or something
Wait are you telling me you can use dulce de leche in a cocktail?
Butterscotch schnapps I think.
That grasshopper joke made me groan out loud.
The old fashioned version looks really good!!
I was carving six ice balls out of my ice slab, when I broke my square rocks glass while sizing my final ball... It was 100 JPY(0.95 USD), so I wasn’t that upset, but now I have to go buy a new glass.
who asked
legend
Nobody. I just wanted to gripe about it.
@@LegendFTP its almost like this is a public comment section
@@MrAqr2598 is carving ice pretty easy? I can't remember the video but I saw an old Japanese bar owner (I think) carving ice to exactly fit his glass and it was so damn satisfying. I kinda wanna do it
Ascended Vegeta
It is a little hard at first, but you’ll get the hang of it after several tries.
@Cocktail Chemistry
I finally watched through all of the vids on your channel!!
For the love of all things, please do drinks from letterkenny!
Wasn't going to watch this, b/c of the nature of the content. But did, and glad I did. Very creative. Keep up the excellent work.
I am always so happy to see your videos!
Hey Nick, would peanut butter whiskey work for the Tagalongs
If anyone wants to get some Thin Mints at any time of the year, Grasshoppers are so similar they're actually the same damn thing.
They're even made in the same factory.
I don't even drink but these r nice to watch xD
What would happen if you blended up the bourbon with the peanut butter and then take the slurry and filter that out?
I'm smoking awesome Girl Scout cookies while watching you make drinks @Girl Scout cookies
Great recipes! I love that TJ peanut butter. I've also heard good things about using roasted peanut oil instead of PB for fat washing to get the peanut flavor, a bit less messy and more space efficient I guess. How does that Luxardo fernet compare to? Fernet has always been super challenging for me...I think I have like 4 different ones now and still never reach for any haha.
Steve!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice recommended section.
The great divide in this comment section is "Shoulda used Skrewball!" and "Ugh, Skrewball is terrible" :D
Would the peanut butter wash thing work better if you intentionally didn't smooth out the peanut butter first? It would keep (for a while at least) some spikes and divots and such, which would greatly increase surface area. No idea how long the bumps and such would last though.
1:41 this just killed me xD
In place of the peanut butter washed bourbon you should try actual peanut butter whiskey. I like Skrewball
Great drinks
Quick question for @CocktailChemistry. What brand of peanut butter do you recommend for the PB infused bourbon? Would using something with added sugar change the flavor or should I keep it to nuts and oil?
I made Thin Mint Juleps last year
Im from Argentina, so I am Allowed legally to say that the best AND ONLY fernet is Branca.
Omegawabo Ni siquiera sabia que existia otra marca internacional aparte de Branca, habria que probar como se mezcla con coca(?
Coin carrying Branca fan here. Branca is love.
Huh. I didn't know any other brands made fernet. I thought fernet WAS the brand. #tmyk 🌈🌟
If you're going to do a " we serve a cocktail named after you," gag, you usually get a better laugh if you use the name Eric. Dunno why, it just seems to work better!
The tag along cocktail, there is pb whiskey sold out there. Do you think that would work?
Can you do anything with the peanut butter after the infusion?
Probably anything that you,d use peanut butter for and wouldn't mind some bourbon flavour. You make peanut butter infused bourbon and bourbon infused peanut butter at the same time. I wouldn't make a PB&J, but peanut butter chocolate truffles with some booze sounds cool. Just don't give it to kids, unless you bake it so the alcohol evaporates...
Someone needs to tell Tempus Fugit they should start distributing in Florida
Great vid! I'm stuck in corona quarantine, can you make up a Quarantini for my last 6 days?
What’d you end up doing with the peanut butter itself after the wash?
Can you still eat the peanut butter afterwards? Do you have to wait four hours before driving after a PBnJ?
Nick has gone insane
Of course, I'm here for it.
If this makes it to the Girl Guides, we’re all gonna become alcoholics... 🤣
Came here from an RHNB video, and needed a double take on that first ice sphere.
Edit: it's a tagalong cookie after all!
Oh oh oh! A Luxardo Fernet, never tried that, how does it compare to a Fernet Branca? I've been dying to try any other Fernet than Branca, but its nigh on impossible to get another brand here in northern Europe
Hey have you ever heard of Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey? 😉😉
yeah it's disgusting
boo this man
Please recreate the "Alaskan Polar Bear Heater" 🥶🥂
Yes please! he or Greg from How To drink need to make it
What did you do with the left over peanut butter?
My mother just bought thin mints so this times well
I am extremely okay with this, and want to see every other cookie (especially Do-,Si-Does)
Bob ross reference. I see you are indeed a man of culture
Why not just use Screwball Peanut Butter whiskey?
That's why I'm in the comments. I thought that too
Because Screwball is already sweetened, and arguably too sweet to sip on its own (depending on your taste). You'd miss out on the creme de cacao flavor, unless you were OK with it being even sweeter than it already is.
@@ogreenius maybe chocolate bitters and another whiskey to keep the sweet at bay
@@sonicdegan You mean mix the Skrewball and another whiskey then add chocolate bitters? That might work.
@@ogreenius or cfommit the ultimate bar sin. equal parts skrewball, creme de cacao, and saltwater. lol.
Hey do you know any recipes that involve honey in your cocktails
You should make the Rig Juice from Regular Show
What do you do with the leftover peanut butter? Milk shakes?
Binging with Babish did milkshakes with bourbon a while back, this would be some next level shit
What happens to all that peanut butter after infusion?
How would you alter the Tagalong recipe for the other peanut butter cookie, Do si do?
Switch out the chocolate elements for vanilla? Probably swap the creme de cacao for something like Tuaca or Licor 43? I know vanilla bitters exist, but I've never used them. It seems viable. I'm not sure how it'll mesh with the PB whiskey, but it should be okay...
Also, might I suggest Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey?
You should place the recipes for each within the description. Otherwise, great work :)
Try making it with pbfit?
Love you nick but would this make an interesting drink skrewball and Guinness. It would be like a tagalong boilermaker
I wonder if sonicating the peanut butter / bourbon mix would cut the prep time down to under an hour.
What is "sonicating"?
@@ascendedvegeta Run it through a sonicator - it's a high speed vibrating water bath. They're generally used for cleaning jewelry or, more pertinent here, suspending solids into liquid mediums. They're called sonicators because they use sound energy to shimmy everything around.
Interesting
Finally, a healthy alternative
So you like the binging with babish , but with drinks. Can we get a video of you two?
I learned and enjoyed.
Samoas.
The last "girl scout cookie" thing i heard about is actually illegal in my country. Still green, anyway.
Why is it illegal?
@@ascendedvegeta there's a weed strain called "Girl Scout Cookie" and I live in Italy, where cannabis is still banned
Perfectly legal in Canada!
@@GrizzAxxemann yeah, but Canada is an actually developed country: not like Italy, where people's mind is still set to centuries ago... Hope the best with your messy neighbours ;)
@@mattia_carciola I wouldn't go that far. Our current government has been flushing the country as a whole down the toilet. Sure, cannabis is legal, but they couldn't even do that right. Then theres the whole kerfuffle with the First Nations, resource extraction, our joke of a military (from the hardware/equipment procurement system to treatment of veterans) the list goes on.
You had me at peanut butter burbon
3:34 MFW "Were just going to pour this entire bottle over the surface, don't use anything too expensive, here were going to use Buffalo Trace." This didn't age well, or maybe you are in an area where Buffalo Trace didn't skyrocket in price.
"don't use anything too expensive" proceeds to pour out a whole bottle of Buffalo Trace... HOW DARE YOU SIR!!!!
Buffalo trace is like $20
@@CocktailChemistry indeed it is MR ROCKEFELLER...
A caucasian looking russian walks into a bar and the bartender says: "hey, i have a drink named after you!"
and the russiam says: "you have a cocktail named dimitri?"
(none of my usual guests would know the grasshopper, so here we go...)
well...this will be good
Have you every tried Screwball? It’s peanut butter whiskey.
Is it really neccessary to do the fatwashing with such large quantities? I mean I can't really imagine that it is, but of it isn't then why did you make an entire bottle?
Looks great, too bad that I am far too lazy to try it. I shall savor from a distance.
This is random but I need to say something. I bought off brand Girl Scout cookies from both Walmart and Aldis out of pure curiosity, and then I brought the same type of real ones. I’m proud to report that the ones from the supermarket tasted WAYYYYY BETTER. I mean honestly, Girl Scouts have it good. Someone is gonna feel bad enough seeing their little faces in their little outfits and they’ll buy those awful cookies. But I’d that gonna be me? No ma’am. Not anymore. I’ve been exposed to the truth- they’re a novelty at best,
Have you ever thought about doing a non alcoholic cocktail? Like a drink that tastes like a cocktail but has no alcohol in it.
Please try to do an alcoholic version of the Shamrock shake.
Love me some Girl Scout cookies 🍪 with a blunt on the side
just....get a bottle of skrewball for the peanut butter whiskey
2:00 !devil
lol, made Buffalo Trace sound like a bottom shelfer.
EmperorOfSomething like, if you’re just going to pour it over peanut butter, send it to me instead. I’d rather drink BT than a lot of bourbons at 4x the price
@@jaredplant3729 100% agree!
Why not just use screwball peanut butter flavor whiskey?
Use ur chemistry to make up some thc rich alc bevy
Does this have the Girls Scout seal of approval?
Peppermint patty
Samoas are 100% in the trio of cookies
The link to the recipes doesn't work. It should point to girlscout-cookies, not girlscout-cocktails
thanks, fixed!
No maple cookies?
Not gonna lie, it kinda hurt to see Buffalo Trace used this way haha. It's so hard to find where I live.
I would ENTIRELY dispute you. Samoas are the best! lol
S
I dispute your assertion, sir! Samoans are the one true Girl Scout cookie!
Tagalongs are my favorite, but I developed a peanut allergy recently and this is kinda making me sad
The Bob Ross of youtube relaxing
Man you really like those internet thumbs ups when you copy this in even before watching a second of the video...
@@Dalixam I just really enjoy him, just leaving a compliment
