Im Ojibway as well. Enjoyed your vid. I'm going to be a grandfather for the first time in several months and my sons girlfriend asked me if I knew anyone that can build these cradle boards......I told her I'd look into it and now I know that I can build one for my future grand child. I'll have my mother do the leather work and other stuff........Miigwetch for sharing the video..........Ngii-min-waa-bun-daan.

Do u have of any instructional videos on how to construct the actual wood and tie together the board piece by piece? I see you working but Im still lost as to how to start one. Yours turned out beautiful btw. :)

Thank you! This was a workshop so the man had the pieces ready, we just put the pieces together. I did a quick RUclips search and there are videos that show how to cut the pieces out tho!

You didn't show how you kept the leather straps in loop tie straps in place. Why not

Can Non-Native people use cradleboards for their children? I don't mean to impose if it is a closed practice. I've heard it is way better for the baby to connect with the mother and to carry them. Plus they're beautiful.
