- Ibanez sr405qm after the emg upgrades!!! The video really doesn't do it justice it sounds awesome in real life. It has a super defined clean and punchy time, I love these pickups/electronics and the SIT strings!!!
I installed the ENG PJ X pickups, and the EMG BQC System in my main bass and I absolutely love it!
Also, I've installed EMG wiring setup for many years and I have never had one come back for a failure. I am also very impressed with EMG technical support and customer service, they have gone way of beyond call many times.
SIT strings are good, but try the Elixir nanoweb medium strings, I use them on my set up and love them, the tone, attack and sustain are unbelievable. Nice follow up video.
What an improvement with those pickups! I just bought this bass and same thing, the pickups distort! Was there another brand of pickups to replace the ibanez besides emgs that you researched that would fit in the pickup slots? Thanks, really good video, btw.
That Nya system is exactly what I need for. Schecter I have. Except I think I'm going to use the EMG 40p5 in both positions
I have the Dave Ellefson, by spec the CS is placed at the Neck position. Kinda makes sense that he set the punchier CS at neck as the DC will pickup more of that Bridge punch naturally... However I'm thinking of going CS in both Neck and Bridge. Opinions? Suggestions? I have it wired to independent 2 vol, 2 tone, no switch, no preamp.
you should do a video of you playin through your GK amp!
you might have said this and I missed it, are you running with just 1 9v battery, or do you have 2 batteries (18V)?

Syd Rusad only needs 1 but you can make it 18v and run 2 if you want
