I work nights so I'm usually sleeping when these are live so mostly a VOD Squad member. Gutted to have missed this one more than usual as I also need some online trophies for this game, all of them in fact. It would have been cool to have helped Rob with this and pick up a few trophies myself. If only I didn't need sleep, and had been online at the time, and was actually in any of the Playstation Access friendlists then it totally could have happened.
Rob, I don't know if someone already pointed this out but you don't get to pick sides or whose the one going to hit the ball when playing doubles in table tennis like in regular tennis. It's always alternating between you and your teammate. If you served the ball, witby should anticipate whether the ball will be returned to either left or right and vice versa because if you try to hit the ball again after you served, it will be your opponents score. Same goes when your opponent is serving, you need to alternate on whose going to receive every rally. I hope this helps. -Coming from a doubles table tennis player.
Rob owes Whitby an apology on the table tennis. He kept saying you go left I'll go right, when each partner has to take it in turns to return it, so the key to doubles is to take the middle of the table when it's your turn to receive it & to get out of the way when it's not your turn. Taking a side when you can't return it is pointless, hence why Rob was getting annoyed when he was in the right place to return it but couldn't. Lol even with a platinum in a game you can still be learning I guess 🤣
