I siliconed both halves of mine, and like it much better. The Kentaro pads just seemed a bit slippy to me. I also use Angel Hair string. It's thin and lasts forever. You can still find it if you search hard enough.

I've always meant to ask-your video about making string is insanely useful since you say all the measurements to use ("drill it until you pull in six inches" makes them perfect errytime).Have you reverse engineered Flea string? That'd rock
I remember owning a mighty flea, and I personally thought that the Flea string was too thick. So I made a yoyo string using Dylan's tutorial that was even thinner, and it worked like a charm.

Jones Hussain all if those yoyos work great. My first unresponsive yoyo I got was a spin dynamics flow, and I was at the same skill level as you. Really any yoyo in that price range will be great, just choose the one you like most. I would also recommend getting one with a centering bearing, it will just be a little easier

Use less wraps of string. That'll probably work.
