No matter where in the world, AIR FORCE ONE & TWO ARE ALWAYS GOING TO BE TWO KICK ASS PLANES! You see them planes, they command attention, plus they stands out and powerful too! 🛩🛩
They normally don't let the 2 presidential B747's get filmed together as not upset the American taxpayers. It is very common, almost routine for the backup aircraft to make the trip along with the primary aircraft, but again the keep it out of sight; usually at a nearby militarily base just in case its needed. Unusual for the to get caught on camera together. Not sure why it happened here. And remember on the aircraft with the president on board uses the call sign "Air Force One" and you'll notice that when the 2nd B747 talks to ATC he uses the SAM (Special Air Missions) call sign. Younger viewers won't remember, but when President Nixon resigned and left Washington for his home in California, about half way across the country Gerald Ford was sworn in as President and the aircraft carrying Nixon changed its call sign from Air Force One to SAM27000 somewhere over Kansas. Just an historical tidbit for the viewers.

bobby mack There is nothing about seeing these 2 planes together. 1 has tail number 29000 and the other 29000. 29000 is the one the president uses most. When going on a trip overseas 28000 will take off first and will be ready to make a quick exit if needed. These are the last 2 747-200 left flying in the US. Look around on Google and you will find photos of both of them together on the ground. They have been flying together since 1991.
They did the same thing at Trumps last visit to the UK the two were parked up close at Stanstead airport that was the first time I had seen that

The is not two “Air Force Ones”. Only the plane on which the President is actually riding is designated Air Force One. The other aircraft will be assigned a standard call sign.

Of course flying either jet can only be called Air Force One if the President is on board. They also use a 757 and Gulfssteam for discreet flights and are also called AF1 when the commander in chief is on board.
The Air Force version of the 757 is know as a C-32 and is only know as Air Force 2 if the VP is onboard.

Remember when President Bush landed in a Navy S-3B Viking aboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln back in 2003? He flew that jet part of the way as he was a fighter pilot while in the reserves. Loved the Viking he was on as it had NAVY ONE on both sides. If you are into model kits there is a set of decals you can buy. They can be hard to find though.

Wrong. There cannot be two Air Force Ones. Air Force One is the designation for any plane in which the president is traveling, no matter the type of aircraft. Learn some facts before you give another misleading title to a video.

This is why is cost almost $250,000/Hour to operate Air force One. ESPECIALLY when overseas. They always have a back up plane ready, the fly in the 3 Limos even if the POTUS doesn't use them, ALL THE FUEL they use must be secure so it is flown in, and so so much more. Amazing coordination.

I guess the good news is most American tax payers didn't see the video. Realty is when POTUS travels on AF1 the other aircraft is some where close by. Now when the travels in US, not so much. When he flew to Nashville a couple of weeks ago, the 2nd B747 sitting crewed and ready at Andrews Air Force Base in DC was close enough in case of a problem with the 1st aircraft. But international destinations, both aircraft go. Plus 3-5 C-17 and C-5 cargo aircraft with helicopters, those Secret Service Black Suburbans, and anything else that he could need away from home. If the destination is remote enough they even fly DC-10 tankers with a "secure" fuel supply for the return trip. $$$$$
