But I think you don't have to compete as much as there are always a handful of proper amazing talent in each generation somewhere. I would love to see a collab between these 2 because I think they are both at the similar level but each has small variations that the other does less well and vice versa.

I always get emotional seeing her do her thing. She’s such a beast this girl don’t know when to throw in the towel. She’s so strong and stunning. That’s a powerful women with incredible endurance. I remember her music video she filmed at Magic’s mountain while I was working there. I’m now 35 and still remember her presence. I have an odd connection with her, I recognize her soul. Maybe it’s her power that seems so familiar, whatever it is I love hearing and seeing it. Keep going girl you got it.
i love the story line she is giving off in this music video. In the beginning, she is clearly possessed by this man and can't get out of the rut she is in with this man, which all women could relate to it. Then she becomes sucked into this loveless relationship she doesn't know how to get out of. Feeling trapped in a loveless relationship is the worst feeling and she perfectly portrayed that in this song and in this music video. Good job JoJo. You won my heart once again.

I also am diagnosed with autismand your music has offered me sensory relief for years whenever I'm in a difficult situation. it had been a while since I started listening to you again, and then last Friday I found out that my son's father is dead. (my son is only 5 years old and he is also autistic). She has never stopped making music. She just couldn't put it out because of legal issues with her old label that ran across ten years. There are over three unreleased albums that have leaked over the years. Also eps and mixtapes. They all fire tho!
As much as I hate to say this, and as much shit as I’ll probably get for it & as much as I know how much those years that JoJo was going through stuff with her label and not allowed to release music affected her so badly...I think it all happened for a reason. Her comeback to music the last few years has been incredible and she’s better than ever. She’s finally being appreciated for being one of the best vocalists of this generation and I think if she would’ve continued to release music through her teens and early adulthood...the public would’ve allowed her to fizzle out like they do all child stars. To the public she would’ve been just a singer that’s, there. Someone taken for granted because she released an album every year so it would’ve been nothing special anymore, ya know? Someone new would’ve come along and they wouldn’t have supported her as much. But with the public learning all that she’s overcome mixed with her storytelling through her music...everyone appreciates her like they should! There’s been no song or EP since her return a few years back that I haven’t bought, streamed or played constantly. I mean, she won a fucking GRAMMY last year! 🖤 it’s devastating to know how the industry treated her and it kills me to know what she went through mentally but I pray that her future success overrides all those bad memories. I grew up in the inner city of Baltimore so the song "city lights" especially spoke to me and it's still one of my favorites to this day. such a great song to bump while just driving around. your follow-up album after that with songs like "the way you do me" and "how to touch a girl" help teach me I was worth more than just my body. so many songs of yours have helped me so much. fast forward to being a woman in her twenties in an abusive relationship,I decided to start playing your music again when I was going through those hard times and it helped me through so muchthat was a few years ago, when I was still struggling with addiction. your music helped me through some of my worst battles with my depression. I also am diagnosed with autismand your music has offered me sensory relief for years whenever I'm in a difficult situation. it had been a while since I started listening to you again, and then last Friday I found out that my son's father is dead. (my son is only 5 years old and he is also autistic). She has never stopped making music. She just couldn't put it out because of legal issues with her old label that ran across ten years. There are over three unreleased albums that have leaked over the years. Also eps and mixtapes. They all fire tho!
As much as I hate to say this, and as much shit as I’ll probably get for it & as much as I know how much those years that JoJo was going through stuff with her label and not allowed to release music affected her so badly...I think it all happened for a reason. Her comeback to music the last few years has been incredible and she’s better than ever. She’s finally being appreciated for being one of the best vocalists of this generation and I think if she would’ve continued to release music through her teens and early adulthood...the public would’ve allowed her to fizzle out like they do all child stars. To the public she would’ve been just a singer that’s, there. Someone taken for granted because she released an album every year so it would’ve been nothing special anymore, ya know? Someone new would’ve come along and they wouldn’t have supported her as much. But with the public learning all that she’s overcome mixed with her storytelling through her music...everyone appreciates her like they should! There’s been no song or EP since her return a few years back that I haven’t bought, streamed or played constantly. I mean, she won a fucking GRAMMY last year! 🖤 it’s devastating to know how the industry treated her and it kills me to know what she went through mentally but I pray that her future success overrides all those bad memories.
