The rest of the world doesn't have a tipping culture, we pay our workers a living wage, a decent wage, a tip is just a nice bonus if it happens, it is most certainly not expected. It is hard for me to understand why the US is so different from the rest of us, healthcare is another thing that boggles the mind. As the saying goes "a society that does not look after its people, is a broken society"
In Japan, tipping is frowned upon and considered rude. The servers there get decent wage and extremely polite but never make a mistake of tipping them. They will be insulted.
@@willieverusethis That is not my problem. They should be paid a fair wage just like any other job. The People in the comments saying "2 Dollar was an insulting Tip" are seriously bottom level of disgusting. Imagine complaining over 2€ tip. If i get 2€ i would be fucking Happy, usually people dont tip that much in a Coffee shop.
They need to ban tipping. Just give a wage, and that's it. Why are we tipping people for doing a job they are supposed to do when they agree to apply for it? Ridiculous.
The solution to this is just to integrate tipping with every purchase made (like what almost the entire world does, labelling "tipping" as "service fee" iirc) so that we *always* tip the worker.
Good reason to abolish tipping, this 'expectation' of tips is beyond ridiculous. Other countries have service charge and/or delivery fee that varies depending on distance...
There’s a reason why lots of countries don’t allow tipping because the workers get paid fair wages unlike in America 🇺🇸 where they don’t get paid fair wages, thanks to the restaurant industry that has lobbied Congress to keep it that way 💰🇺🇸🤔
it’s not customer’s jobs to tip you, you make an hourly wage and your employer can pay you. Besides, getting stabbed 14 times probably isnt exceptional enough customer service to even warrant a tip on the first place so.
This culture of tipping has got to stop. All the motel girl should have to do is pay for the pizza. The pizza joint owner should be the one to cover the wages of the driver. Everywhere you move anymore in society someone is wanting an extra few bucks all the time.
This crazy woman should stay in prison for life with her partner in crime. Such a horrific act for a trivia. What she would have done if no tip was given ?

She seems to have been mad her little hustle didn't work and she didn't get the rest of the $50 as a tip. What customer in a budget motel is going to give a 53% tip?
TIPS SHOULD BE BANNED!! Tips should not be required, but appreciated if given. Majority of Americans are struggling and not everyone is tipped for doing their job.

The tip was not the reason that she did this. The reason that she did this was because she knew the lady had $50 and she was probably a drug addict and wanted to rob her for that money! People need to be aware when flashing their money even in a innocent way.
Literally some people get so mad when you don't tip them, I had a lady roll her eyes and snatch the receipt cause I didnt tip her, after that i was glad i didn't, not to mention I did pick up, she didn't cook my food just brought it to the counter, i guess she thought just cause she was beautiful, she was privileged to get a tip, on the other hand I had this waitress and she was a beautiful soul kind, you could tell she enjoyed helping people, and she wasn't even faking for a tip you could tell that's just who she was, she got a twenty dollar tip, your energy speaks louder than your words.

Because she felt disrespected. And she wanted to send a message to society. That there are people who will take your life in front of your child for a dollar if they feel like it.
@@iaf010
And there are people like me that will order hundreds in food and tip nothing, and ready for ANYONE that tries to attack me.
Tipping is going insane. Ban the act and force employers to pay an actual salary. There are lots of countries that don't use tipping.
Right! I've worked as a waitress a few times and the wage was so low I had to hope I could make it up in tips which didn't always work. It's ludicrous.
How horrific. Sounds the type to tamper with customer's food if they upset her.
I hope the mother and her two children will be okay.
Please do not let them out of jail. 😮
That’s false these days. Was true in the past but my friends in Germany work for tips now. The economy changed after the mass migration in 2014.
Because in reality, capitalism is inhumane!
In Japan, tipping is frowned upon and considered rude. The servers there get decent wage and extremely polite but never make a mistake of tipping them. They will be insulted.
Your economy is terrible. "Living wage" is a farce. You just gobble up whatever your government over lords shove into your gullet lol. Pathetic
Tipping is out of control in America and I refuse to do it anymore. I think I have been tip free for about 2 years now and never again.
I wouldn't go to the same restaurant twice if I were you. We have "special recipes" for high class people like yourself
Servers have their 15% of their sales added to their tax rates. Your servers are paying for a part of your meal out.
@@willieverusethis That is not my problem. They should be paid a fair wage just like any other job. It should not be the customers responsibility to give extra on top just because the food industry lobbies to not pay workers a fair wage. Things cost way to much money these days and meals are already overpriced.
@@charlesritter6640im not tipping anymore either. People are too entitled, just do your job.
@@charlesritter6640committing a crime over a tip is crazy work lol, fact people would risk their freedom over a tip is crazy
Some Americans get angry over the littlest things 🤦♂️
Tipping culture is crazy now
The People in the comments saying "2 Dollar was an insulting Tip" are seriously bottom level of disgusting.
Ridiculous.
If you believe this was over a tip, you are truly naive.
This! A lot while back a dude got unalived and the news said it was over grass clippings in the neighbor's yard. What world do people live in?
@@JADub87 Unalived LOL
Oh tell us what it is over then if you don't believe crazy people exist
Then tell what it could possibly be... Don't write this comment without telling us 🤡
@@JADub87what’s was it over?
Makes me sick to my stomach, just plain evil. I hope the pregnant victims baby is ok?
The solution to this is just to integrate tipping with every purchase made (like what almost the entire world does, labelling "tipping" as "service fee" iirc) so that we *always* tip the worker.
Is the baby ok
@@sierravista9013 l believe that the baby survived.
This is why tipping should end if businesses cannot pay their wages then why does the business still exist?
Tipping is out of control. It really should be stopped.
Half the people don’t even tip. $2 is $2. Man oh man
No body comes back to a location to commit a crime because of a tip. There has to be more to the story.
I literally almost never tip, unless the service actually is exceptional, precisely for this reason.
Too much entitlement from food service workers
The decades-long, systematic dumbing down of America has not been without consequences. Stay safe, my friends.
Your country is a one big social experimental project. Get out of there.
Come on people it wasn't over a tip. To go back later at the motel to stab her up? Drugs had to be involved. Or something else.
I can’t do this anymore. Not the news, not the internet, nothing. EVERYTHING is negative bs. I can’t stand it any longer.
So
The years of psychological recovery for their daughter to 'unsee' that crime, very sad.
Did she lose the baby?
This was not over a tip..
They went back to rob her.. C'mon, people..
Sorry, apparently, we don't have access to investigation information like you.
Good reason to abolish tipping, this 'expectation' of tips is beyond ridiculous.
Other countries have service charge and/or delivery fee that varies depending on distance...
Don't understand why business owners don't run background check in their employees. Imagine hiring a psychopath without proper check !!
America is so cooked. Countries that don't require tipping seem to be doing much better.
There’s a reason why lots of countries don’t allow tipping because the workers get paid fair wages unlike in America 🇺🇸 where they don’t get paid fair wages, thanks to the restaurant industry that has lobbied Congress to keep it that way 💰🇺🇸🤔
Going to prison because you didn't like a 2$ tips is diabolical.
My brain can't comprehend a young latina willing to go to prison almost killing an unborn baby over a tip
The pregnant woman didn't even know she was pregnant until she got to the hospital, so the unborn baby really had nothing to do with it.
it’s not customer’s jobs to tip you, you make an hourly wage and your employer can pay you.
Yall take tips too seriously
Tipping obligations by businesses needs to stop in America. It’s ridiculous
This crazy woman should stay in prison for life with her partner in crime. Such a horrific act for a trivia. What she would have done if no tip was given ?
This was not about a pizza delivery tip. Come on now.
The customer had a 50, she claimed she didn't have change to break it. So the customer had to pay with smaller bills, only having $2 extra to tip.
Doesn't look sorry. Not one bit. Smh
No one is obligated to tip you!!! Americans should take it out of their heads that tipping is obligatory, it should be given if the person is doing a good job AND if the tipper can afford it!! The woman gave her tip, little as it was, and instead of gratitude she receives stubbing?! Entitled trash!!!
Now this is why I never order for delivery
Tips are the worst thing ever. WHy are we paying extra for people to do their job.
Dont be a weak victim
Dont order delivery
The tip was not the reason that she did this. The reason that she did this was because she knew the lady had $50 and she was probably a drug addict and wanted to rob her for that money! People need to be aware when flashing their money even in a innocent way.
Life in prison someone like this doesn't need to be free
It's time for the tipping culture to end...no more tips.
Life in prison.
I can't believe some lawyer is going to defend this woman who stabbed a pregnant lady in front of her 5 year old. That is beyond horrific.
Maybe she should stop tweaking her eyebrows
Folks do realize tips are meant to be a bonus not something that people are required to give right?
This had nothing to do with the pizza or tip. She saw something in that room worth coming back for.
Evidence?
"man i hate that people dont tip" proceeds to do the easiest job of driving food......how stupid are people
In front of her 5 year old? And she was pregnant? Keep her in jail for 20 years at least
Life! Period
Tip culture is uncontrollable in US AND CANADA
America is a weird place, in my country🇿🇦 ppl who ordered a pizza can even tip someone R5 ( u'll convert ), n the driver will still accept it, $2 is a lot here and I know for a fact many ppl don't even think about tipping the deliver person that much money coz it sure damn can buy something to add on an order. Y be angry over a tip when ur still getting paid by ur job though🤦🏾♂️.
You clearly do not understand service industry pay structure in the U.S., in which case why comment on something you don't understand at all. Without tips it isn't a viable living wage at all
How come no one is mentioned that she is a illegal immigrant from Ecuador
Is this true? Source?
This tipping culture really needs to stop
I worked in a pizza shop for 16 years. Before uber or anything. Delivery standard tip was 10 percent. Which would be around $3 for this delivery. $2 isnt bad.
Exactly lol I'm only 28 and living through both poor and wealthy areas. Not everyone will tip big amounts but if you just stay moving it will be made up by the end of the night.
Companies need to put the tip into the bill or just pay your staff appropriately so they don’t do things like this.
This is why I don’t order food, I’ll cook my own or go get my own food. F tipping!
