There is something so beautiful and surreal about Asian art style that always pulls me in. This year Black Myth Wukong blew me away then we have Wuchang Fallen Feathers coming out soon as well as Phantom Blade 0 and now this, about time we're getting more games from China and Korea specially when Western devs fail to deliver on so many fronts.
@@alazarF573 JP going down by itself already unfortunately. It’s also reflective of their declining economy. When economies are declining, creativity also declines as ppl have less room for taking risky creative ventures. China’s economy is booming, so we are now seeing a rise of Chinese games.
I love how the characters look so animated while also keeping realistic textures for settings, the game look like an animated film its so charming and the vibrant colours make it look so painterly. Too many games go towards realism and cut back on certain things which make the colours loose their vibrancy and liviliness making settings feel dull and muted but this looks so full of life i wouldnt mind getting an artbook on the game when it releases😍

But that's what I think Xianxias are, if Wuxias use some of these traits too then thanks for the correction.
@@adzi6164 The game is set in a high-level Wuxia world with Taoism, Buddhism, and lots of spiritual energy. in the beta, even the villagers were insanely beautiful and powerful more like cultivators. There are invinsible skills, calling down swords from the sky, buddhist giant palm strikes, and you can fly through the whole map or run across it leaving afterimages. The map also has different realms and a ton of inheritances from various immortals. it is said the main villain of the story is also an immortal/taoist.. (So it really walks the line between Xianxia and Wuxia - that’s why I compared it to being set in a spiritually rich world that could soon bear immortal cultivation) from what I also remember, there are a lot of taoist/buddhist skills, and most can control spiritual energy far beyond what normal wuxia martial artists would - like playing mini-games using spiritual energy with random civilians or healing people from Qi deviations and so on.
I’m happy that non western gaming companies are getting better and better and showing that west is not all that it claims to be. Well done asian gaming industry. Show them who’s the boss

Looks beautiful and stunning beyond words. China is really stepping up their game with such titles like this, Lost Soul Aside, and Black Myth: Wukong. They and Korea are joining their Japanese counterparts in saving the industry from forced DEI garbage Western gaming companies have been doing.
