@@Victordamus98 bro I commented that a year ago, I’m now doing commercial I can tell you that they don’t require ppl maneuvers on the instrument ride. You’ll get unusual attitudes and maybe a DME arch. Along with the approach’s.
Yo I doubt anyone will answer this because it's so late but why would you start the timer for the approach when it is precision? Wouldn't your missed be the DA regardless of time?
If your glideslope becomes inoperative and you somehow lose your DME too, timing is the only way to determine your missed approach point on this approach

I want to get my private pilots license in about a year when i turn 17 and i want you to be my instructor so bad lol. I love the way you teach students. Maybe I can convince my parents to let me fly from North Carolina to Florida for a little bit.
VFR on top is moving from VFR to IFR to VFR. IFR clearance is usually very short in terms of duration and is there to allow for climbing higher through clouds when VFR conditions cannot be maintain through the whole climb out. When reaching an altitude where supposely VFR can be mainted, the IFR clearance then voids. It is different to the VFR over the top which is basically climbing in VFR conditions through clouds holes and cruising above a heavy leayer of clouds, then descending still in VFR conditions through clouds holes.
The edits just keep getting better and better. Bravo Lewis!
Your mastery of instruction is shown through your students. Great job. He is definitely ready. Thanks for the infortainment.

Isn’t this exact instance what vfr on top is for? I could be completely wrong😂
Or would it not cuz the ceiling went from BKN to SCT making it not a ceiling anymore
