    A lot of adult acne is hormonal. You can do all this and still get acne and unless you sort your hormones out, the acne can persist. It’s not always outside causes, a lot of the time it’s inside your body

      @@_nana_nana Many women have more acne during certain times of their cycle, or have acne linked to a gynecological condition like PCOS.
      There are reasons men can get hormonal acne as well, but I think it's much more common with women.

      (i talk about my dry acne skin type and what helped me if you don t want to read it ) yes ! I understood it was hormonal when my skin was perfect since the middle of my periods to a week after, except when i eat stuff that make me break out. And it s the worst when i am gonna have my period. Microkystic acne is shitty because if i don t press my acne it stays in my face and make hard little balls. This is my acne that motivates me to eat healthy, i react to palm stuff inside food, so no fastfood, no cereals etc... (i found good ones without it tho!).
      It s been 13 years of acne, i am not sure that one day i will be in peace. But i try to not expect perfect skin like people are selling on internet. We don t have to wait to be perfect to feel the right to exist !
      Recently i learn that i found a good routine without thinking too much, azelaic acid ( the ordinary) and niacinamid toner (beauty of joseon the one with ginseng) that replaced my entire army of creme product (my skin was dry), sereum, anti acne stuff. I wash with something neutral and squalan (the ordinary) and my dry skin is not dry anymore when i put products on it ( it was dry ans sticky/oily with the 100 products i tried), i have no more red patches, less acne i ever had in my entire life. I never found products that were suted for me and honestly my hopes weren t anymore. I don t were foundation or makeup on my skin, just blush sometimes. Nothing has a scent add to it. I can t use powder it makes me break out.
      I ve never heard someone in my case but they are people like me in this world who thinks it is impossible to reduce your acne but it is possible, your skin is unique you need to be patient and simple is better ! So if you have one of my problem it can maybe help you.
      I learned my skin hates heavy stuff, water base if my go to and i am not getting back, my skin is hydrated and not sticky. I have sensory issues too😅
      (Spf makes me break out to so if someone has a recommendation, and it s written on it no comedogenic)

    Acne also depends on internal health! If you're stressing 24/7, eating greasy junk, not having any physical activity, of course you're gonna have acne. It also depends on physical and emotional health. And also HORMONES

    • @doeeyes2
      @doeeyes2 3 месяца назад +1

      Hormones are also linked to acne. I eat clean, drink lots of water and get 8 hours sleeo every night.. i still get breakouts around my period no matter what.

    • @CrazySnuggly
      @CrazySnuggly Месяц назад +1

      Valid! Part of skincare troubleshooting involves consideration of variables. If you go through all these steps and notice your skin isn’t healing or changing, then you can start to look at your health and see if hormones are having an effect.
      Both things can be true! One is just faster and less expensive to start troubleshooting first.

    The three second rule... Is this just for essence, toners, ampoules and moisturizer? Dampen in between them all or just hurry up? I've heard to wait in between each product to allow absorption. And what about actives like vitamin c and retinol? I've heard to never apply those to damp skin. Thank you for your shorts! I'm loving my Korean skincare purchases so far but it is so overwhelming finding a routine with the massive amounts of products!

    Hey I LOVE this video, I didn’t even know about any of these tips!!! Thank you!
    As for the No-Nuance-Nellies in the comments: LISTEN. If these tips and adjusting her skin care regimen are what worked for her, then clearly her problem WAS NOT HORMONAL ACNE.
    You’re not helpful by saying it’s either this or hormone acne. BOTH things can be true depending. It’s OK to have a polite, continued, and actually helpful conversation like so: “Love these tips! You did a great job with this video! If these tips aren’t working, it’s worth talking to a doctor about hormones because those might be a culprit!”
    THERE. Fixed your comments. Sit in the front of the class. Sheesh!

      I would do this but Im a side sleeper and a towel would be too rough and dry out my skin (they are made to dry skin afterall)... im hooked on satin pillowcases which helps prevent wrinkles and dryness. They currently have them for a like a dollar at Dollartree. I bought like 10 of them, all white and I wash them once a week, changing them every day. I had a lot of damage to my hair and thinning around my face and the satin pillowcase saved my hair, no more tangles when i wake up either.

      let the skincare products absorb until the skin is still slightly damp (dry on the surface but its hydrated). I dont know what the hell she's talking about but that's how i do it and my skin has been glowing

    • @ghosh...7962

      You need to wait like a minute or until your serum dries/absorb completely ... Then use moisturizer

    • @fiona2075
      @fiona2075 6 месяцев назад

      So if my face is wet I indeed quite quickly put on my hydrating toner, because water dries out your skin, and therefore can make it feel a bit tight.
      But I personally always wait a bit (a minute) before applying each next product so that it can be absorbed properly to have maximum result of the ingredients that it contains. Some ingredients counter react with one another, so if you happen to have two of these products directly applied on your face after eachother, the active can potentially be inhibited from working the way it's meant to. Which would be a waste of the product you use and therefore a waste of your money.
      There is an exception for me btw when I use retinol. I put the retinol on my face and then I wait around 15-20 min before starting my regular skincare routine.
      (Before you start using retinol or other retinoid products, please do your research. Because if you start wrong, you can ruin your skin)
      But she is also right about not going to sleep right after applying it.

    Some of the tips are okay but all are quite low on the priority list for dealing with acne. Dermatologists blow this kind of content out of the water....the number one tip should be to take tips from dermatologists instead of random people.
    Also, the three second rule is pretty unnecessary and pointless if you use watery toners at the beginning of your skincare routine, which hydrate your skin anyway and make your skin damp just like you just walked out of the shower...you could also just spray your face with thermal spring water or regular water. Why rush for 3 seconds? The water supply from your tap is not disappearing in 3 seconds, did you forget that you can just splash it on your face anytime you want?!!

      Have you heard of genetics? Some people will wash their face with a dirty rock and be fine. Some will spend $100 on skincare and still break out. The point is if you’re prone to breaking out AND don’t take care of your skin it will be much much worse. And if you think that’s bad you need help. So yeah, I’d trust the girl with a few pimples over the person will no understanding of very basic science (or common sense or general empathy)
