It’s gonna be a hybrid of the 2023 Barbie movie and Postman Pat The Movie

It's strange but it might do surprisingly well you never know now this make wonder if Mattel will make a Masters of the Universe movie sometime down the road as that's another popular huge brand.

While the tone of the Thomas film is looking to be more adult oriented like the Barbie movie, Bob on the other hand is looking to be another family film of some kind. And I totally agree with you that both these films should include both the steam team and machines alone to make it feel like a complete homage to what made both franchises great in the first place. While the Thomas movie is believed to be released around late 2025 to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the railway series, I personally think the Bob The Builder movie won’t be released until at least 2027. We should hear from Mattel about the official slate of movies between now and March.

I worry a lot about the prospect of this movie because there are clear initiatives to take a legacy IP and turn it into something it's not. Bob is not Roberto, the TV Series is British not Carribean etc. The Barbie movie very much turned a legacy toy doll into something it's not. I don't trust Mattel as movie producers
