When they were worshipping Dagon the fish god on the beach in Ninevah. The whale swam up and spit Joanah out. The miracle was great they worshipped Jonah who told them of God. Everyone fasted and prayed to the God of Jonah saving them from destruction God had imposed on them. Destroying the false fish god.
Attention..a human man spit out of the mouth of a whale..covered in the stomach acids..3 days worth andvI am sure Jonas had acid burns all over his body..
Cont.I think God already knew what was in Jonas heart and mind..that he would try to run..and get eaten by the fish..because that is what it was going to take to get the attention of the people of Mermen God worshippers. It meant more to them God's words of warning.And what about Jonas ..it took all he had to go that long distance to minister to his arch enemies..
And I am sure he had acid burns on his skin from the stomach acid in the whales' digestive system.I think he was in pain and sick from the sun and heat on his burned skin..so shade was very important to him.
There is more to the lives of the prophets and what it costs them to do God's bidding.
