Man, awesome video. It worked here. I did the same steps on 21/09/2024. Everything in the video is still working ; Congratulations, it's very difficult to find awesome tutorials like this!
Worked for me, Thanks Beyhan for this awesome video. If you also mentioned how to start and stop SAP server in this video it would have been really helpful for everyone... assuming that most of the people are going to use their own personal machine for learning ABAP, in such cases their PC is not going to be on all the time.

Total SAP newbie but thanks to this video I managed to successfully install SAP NetWeaver AS ABAP Developer Edition 7.52 SP04 on Ubuntu using UTM on a mac M2 with SAP GUI for Java as a Client on the host machine. Works fine. This is great stuff @CodeZen!!! Thank you very much!!!

To skip error "Unable to determine parameter "DNS domain name". DNS domain name is not configured in resolv.conf (UNIX)"... please disable firewall and start uuidd once again before continue your sap installation... Thanks so much for this very helpful tutorial

Last step, after I have connected using the GUI client, I followed your steps to activate the license by going to the site and presetting the hardware number..., but still SAP says please give license number when I tried to create a class like your video, although I have followed your steps and although after uploading the license text file it said that it is a valid activation.

Really I appreciate you great tutorial and I'd like to thank you again, and I have just found out the reason of the issue 2 minutes ago.
It seems that the class I create should start with letter Z.
The classes I tried to create before started with letter S.
I'm not 100% sure that I can understand the reason, but it seems that starting classis/names with Z refer to something related to free licence.
Now everything works 100% because of your great tutorial.
Kindly if my assumption about Z character is correct, then please mention this explicitly.
I have noticed that in your video you started the class with z but I'm not sure if you missed mentioning that in the video, or maybe you have mentioned this somewhere and I was not focused.
Hi Ahmed, that is a rule. Customer objects can only start with ‘z’ or ‘y’. Glad you have solved your issue 👍🙋♂️

Hi, make sure you have repeated exact steps. Seems like you have solved license agreement issue :)

Hello i've spent two days installing SAP following your tutorial (first time using linux command and i had to face with many issus because without knowing i've skiped some of the steps lol). By the way installation is successful =D, but after deleting license and getting a new one I cant create a new "CLASS" do you know what it could be my problem?
For the others users: i've done the Ubuntu VM on my pc 8GB RAM and 140GB of stockage.
I cannot call NWBC, it always shows a 'This site can’t be reached' error. Please help me out here.

Whenever I try to download NetWeaver file it says "your request for information is being reviewed, once approved you'll receive an email with additional instructions" and it's not letting me download the files . If possible can you please upload those downloaded NetWeaver files in Gdrive/GitHub so I can just download it from there. Would really appreciate the help
PS: I've created an account already and it's verified...but that error msg is coming from 1month and still not letting me download the file

@@CodeZen I tried that but just got an error that said something like "this version of linux cant suport sap in any WAY!" which didnt make any sense. At the ende I deleted the virtual machine and started over (for the fourth time) and it worked. What i did wrong will remain a mistery. Thank you for your help and the tutorial

Sorry that I faced the same problem 3 months after you. Go to "sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list", change the links w/ old-releases.ubuntu, scroll down and you will see that there is a few more. then you should be able to install unrar. Hope you figured it out earlier but maybe this'll help others

hocam öncelikler teşekkürler, gerçekten webde çalışan tek rehber sizinki. sorunsuz bir şekilde kurdum, fakat SAP Logonu kapatıp tekrar açtığımda "sap wsaeconnreset connection reset by peer" hatası alıyorum. bunun için ne yapmalı?
virtualboxın sürmü kurulu etkiler mi internette 6.1 yok da
@@kardelenyucekul3142 bende etkilemişti. Fakat eski sürümle kurup, daha sonra virtualbox'ı son sürüme güncellediğimde de çalışmaya devam etti. Sadece kurulum sürecinde bir sıkıntısı var ama bilemiyorum tam olarak ne.

You entered the correct username? It is case sensitive.

hey thank you for the video. Unfortunately i cannot pass number 26. I get the same error with you, but when i go to search it in file sapinst_dev.log, i can't find any kind of error, so i continued with the "cp SYBASE_ASE_TestDrive.lic /sybase/NPL/SYSAM-2_0/licenses/" and when i pressed install, again i got the same error. Can you help me plz?
