I have the Phigolf setup on E6 which is similar to this. Not perfect but good enough considering we don't have space to swing a full club. I have a bit of a different swing and the E6 doesn't track it properly. If you have a normal Hogan like swing these things work well enough.
Would love to see you guys try to push this thing to the limit and try to fat/thin and different swing paths to see how accurate it is. Great video though!
To line up the clubface with he ball. Your supposed to line up the little label on the golf head by turning the electronic part in the handle until they line up with the label facing the player. As I remember from another video. I might be wrong. I have TittleX/Swinglogic and it lines up by turning the normally electric unit facing the driver, either to the left or right to cure splicing.
From what I can tell after watching this, and briefly owning a new model SLX, is this one looks to be the same exact thing but a little better. The big issue I had with the SLX was its backspin was always very high. I was averaging around 9k rpm on a 7-iron, and 11-12k on my wedges which is absurd for someone who hasn't been golfing long.
Hmm, interesting . I would like to have seen you do some bad shots just to see if it accurately depicts the shot (although perhaps that first driver shot counts), but all in all, this was a great review and gave me a good idea as to what I'd be getting. Cheers!
Wonder if you could put it on a real golf club since the sensor is in the grip. Maybe hit plastic or foam balls to not shock the sensor. would bring a little more realism to it.
Beginner question: So what‘s a good, low price thing to work on swing AND ball striking (as opposed to missing / topping) at home (even if it had to be in a small yard or drive way)?
Seems a lot like the Phi golf system. The "club" is different of course. Pih golf can also use the e6 connection. Appears to be the same restrictions as well. Good video guys
You guys are right. The meaning of a "golfer" is changing enabled by technology. This product and Phigolf complement working from home and could save lives from inactive lifestyles
Could you use the sensor device in the back of an actual club and hit a ball into a net, say outside? You'd move it to the club you're actually hitting?
Back in the 90's we had a simulator on our PC. It was slow and laggy as hell but it had a very similar short club with a head. The head was a bit bigger than this one and had a little lens on the end like a nintendo blaster. There was no screen just the pc monitor. There must have been some kind of receiver too but I don't remember.
I think it is pretty cool for the price. I have a putting carpet and hole that I used for about 2 weeks after the Christmas I received it. Haven't touched it since. I think this would fall into that same category for me. I kind of have mixed emotions on this. I am not someone who does video games. Golf for me is as much about the outdoor environment as it is about the game itself. I was a Superintendent at 2 Country clubs for nearly 20 years and have a degree in Turfgrass management. So that is where I am coming from.
Great review guys as always, I’ve seen this one advertised and was very curious. I’d love something to keep me swinging through the winter and staying on plane. I was also curious to how it would pick up wither thin and fat shots which kills me sometimes, I’m glad you mentioned something about that. Do you know if it would work hooked up to a Apple TV which is plugged into a Smart Tv, cut out the need for a projector?
Thanks Rob! Good question about the AppleTV ... I think you need a projector to get it on a big screen, but you can simply use an IPAD and then cast it via AppleTV to a mirrored flat screen somewhere nearby
Great review. I can see a big market for it. I have a large net, a Acustrike mat and practice outside BUT if you could "simulate play" on say 50 plus of your favourite golf courses from around the world. Then I would purchase this product rather than spending money on various new golf equipment.
Great video. Yeah, probably get tired of it soon enough. Need something with more feedback, I'm chunking it the real world and this won't tell me that. Definitely great for parties or with the family 😎🤙
I've been thinking about buying a big enough shed for my backyard and saving to put a simulator in it but trying to get the wife on board it's a dream and never going to be a reality lol
This and Phigolf are both operating in that somewhere between a ga,e and a simulator space. I returned the Phigolf it seemed like junk…may try this one. My other thought as the minimum simulator and get contact feedback would be optishot. You can play optishot without a ball, but the sensors in the mat shoukd reflect ball contact better but the game element is not as fancy as this.
I’m curious as to where all the cost is going because that sensor is worth only like 20-40$ so unless the “club” and license is 260$ this seems like a rip off even tho it works
I think taking swings of any kind can help ... this could be a nice entry into improving. But again, for the die hards, if you need to "strike a ball" it wouldnt be for you.
Why not put the sensor on a real club and take it to the range to hit real golf balls? You can then compare the predicted results with the actual shot. If it is reasonably accurate, then you get all the swing analytics combined with feedback of actual results.
Would lean towards the OptiShot. This is a cool simulator if you’re super restricted on space, but if you have room to hit some balls that’s going to feel more realistic.
I played with a similar one last weekend Basketball trip stuck in hotel. With they guy I was with he said he could hook up to real club and hit balls into net.
I was thinking the same. I have a net in my garage and hit foam balls just in case of a miss hit. If I could screw the sensor onto each club when hitting that would be great.
there's no reason why you couldn't stick that bluetooth sensor into a real club and hit real balls with that if you have the simulator screen already, or you could take it to your actual range in tablet mode and get an idea of your numbers when you actually hit like a GC Quad... the stick it comes with is not transmitting anything to the sim itself, so you don't NEED it to use this software...
Is there any real golfer that would actually use this? Face contact is the thing and what we're trying to perfect. This is gimmicky aimed at non-golfers.
They should throw an align grip on that club. Also, I imagine that could create contact issues or allow bad habits. But...looks like fun AS A game.
There is one,I owed one and there is a ligne for the club face 👍

Thanks Jackson! I'm sure we will be playing a lot with this thing just messing around.

How about putting this in a end of a real club on the rang? Not indoors but would give good feed back on your swing.
It would be nice to see this compared to the Swing Logic SLR (formally Tittle X)
Also phi golf uses e6 now as well, would love to see a three way analysis.

You guys make great videos! Just subscribed! Thank you for the honest pros and cons review!
Thank you! 🙏🏼

yeah, exactly, how did nobody think of that?
Wonder if you could put it on a real golf club since the sensor is in the grip. Maybe hit plastic or foam balls to not shock the sensor. would bring a little more realism to it.
Nice product. I'm cursed with the low ceilings and it would be awesome right now since I'm looking out at 6 inches of snow.
Yep!

It shocked me that they didn't at least try it. First thing I would have done.

What about adding the e6 sensor to an actual golf club, does that work?
Not sure bout this one but, the formerly tittlex does I think…
I bet it would work in a standard club grip so you could actually hit balls with it.
Per the website it has a hard time reading shots with real balls, unsure about foam the rep said
I use a Quest 2, pc, golfclub with controller in and Golf+
Maybe it's not ideal, but I simply love it when not on the golfclub 😁

Great value though.. Love the new product reviews, thanks guys
Thanks Ken!
This would be really fun for family game night. I'd pick one up just for that. It's like Wii Sports golf but more in depth.
No doubt!!!
Great review great vid!
Thanks Evan, appreciate it as always dude!
I had trouble on some holes putting. It would not allow me to putt. I also taped down the button so it would move. But I still enjoy using it.
Live the content
Keep it up and would also love a new drhver
Review the oculus quest 2 golf+, Please! I’ve heard good things about it
I think we can make that happen…
I definitely want one of these to ! 😁
It reminds me of the Tittle X. More of a game type simulator than anything else.
Great video. Yeah, probably get tired of it soon enough. Need something with more feedback, I'm chunking it the real world and this won't tell me that. Definitely great for parties or with the family 😎🤙
Please try it on a golf club!
can you use that sensor on real clubs and would it actually work?
I have the same question. Would be cool if you could.
Yes I'm almost a 100% sure I've seen people using a club but check to make sure
I can’t get any distance with any clubs? Any tips?
Would this help if I am wanting to work on increasing my swing speed?
Great review, where did you purchase it?
Nathan, the company sent it a while ago, but we see they're available for sale on random sites -- try their website first.
@@Golficity thanks
I am new to golf and am horrible about hitting really fat, like pop thr ball straight up where i could catch it. How does this account for that?
Did you try it with a real club? To test it against another simulator
Can you put the sensor on a real club and get accurate data?
Could you clarify the E6 pricing on this?
Anyone know what Titleist cap that is, can’t find it anywhere?
Can it be attached to golf club?
This simulator is perfect for when your buddies that don't play golf come over and you're hanging out drinking beers or something of the sort.
I've been thinking about buying a big enough shed for my backyard and saving to put a simulator in it but trying to get the wife on board it's a dream and never going to be a reality lol

Can you put the brains in a regular club? And just use it as a sim that way?
Where are these available for sale in the US? I cannot find a thing about this
you may have to search third party for TruGolf Mini. Doesn’t look like they sell them on their main TruGolf Site
For what it is, it seems great. Give it two more years and who knows how good it will be
I’m curious as to where all the cost is going because that sensor is worth only like 20-40$ so unless the “club” and license is 260$ this seems like a rip off even tho it works
Can you plug or screw the chip in the back of the golf club. ?
Maybe??
@@Golficity try to screw it on the back of the driver or iron and see if it works. If so, I will purchase it. Thanks guys. Great video
What is that hat you're wearing? It's sweet!
I'm a new golfer have a2 summers of golf in. No lessons, just crappy golfer. Do you think this could help me through the winter
I think taking swings of any kind can help ... this could be a nice entry into improving. But again, for the die hards, if you need to "strike a ball" it wouldnt be for you.
Can you get any use out of it if you don't want to pay for a monthly subscription?
Couldn't you put that sensor into the back of an actual golf club? And maybe get some of those foam golf ball to hit inside?
My plan is this for the house to play with the fam. Skytrak or mevo plus in the mancave.
It's fun with the family for sure!
Why not put the sensor on a real club and take it to the range to hit real golf balls? You can then compare the predicted results with the actual shot. If it is reasonably accurate, then you get all the swing analytics combined with feedback of actual results.
Would you rather have that or the entry level Optishot?
Would lean towards the OptiShot. This is a cool simulator if you’re super restricted on space, but if you have room to hit some balls that’s going to feel more realistic.
Play all winter with this and watch the ingrained bad habits you develop without knowing lol
I played with a similar one last weekend
Basketball trip stuck in hotel. With they guy I was with he said he could hook up to real club and hit balls into net.
You can hook to a computer and project it which is better, because phones and pads don’t fill the hole tv.
Whats up bros! So I watched this video and the Golf + video... Which do you like more?
Can you screw it into a regular club?
I was thinking the same. I have a net in my garage and hit foam balls just in case of a miss hit. If I could screw the sensor onto each club when hitting that would be great.
this would be cooler if it was compatible with golf+
Wouldn´t it be cool if you could mount the sensor onto a real golf club ?
Whats channel name golf-i-city or gol-ficity couldnt figure out the puzzle.
lol; it’s like simplicity - but golf-icity
there's no reason why you couldn't stick that bluetooth sensor into a real club and hit real balls with that if you have the simulator screen already, or you could take it to your actual range in tablet mode and get an idea of your numbers when you actually hit like a GC Quad... the stick it comes with is not transmitting anything to the sim itself, so you don't NEED it to use this software...
Bad shots? Could you use with a real club?
I wonder if I could cast it to my large screen TV? Yes
Tournament mode and it is giving you a gimme on a 5 footer?
I’m going with optishot
That looks like WGT Golf.
Why didn't you try putting that into a real golf club?
That e6 sign needs to get up on the stick isnt it??? That grip seems to be this way too guys and u will see if ur face is square at adress!
just like PhiGolf?
You could 100% hit real balls, just put it in the end of your club
you seem to be swinging that driver like an iron.
$2000? Try $4500😂
This is dumb. You can't miss when you aren't required to hit an actual ball.
Is there any real golfer that would actually use this? Face contact is the thing and what we're trying to perfect. This is gimmicky aimed at non-golfers.
Can't you just attach the device to a GOLF CLUB? And then hit balls into a NET?
This thing is a garbage. avoid it.
SLX is waaaay better than
I have the Phigolf system ($210) which is very similar to Trugolf and it's decent to where I can keep my swing during the winter!
