I feel SO smart after guessing correctly in the beginning!! Though, I've never really applied this to my art, You've got me thinking really hard about this, I've been going back and forth trying to figure out why my colors look muddy / I don't like the blending and I think this finally helped me figure it out. Thank you very very much!
wow I never thought of it this way and it makes so much sense! This is really helpful:). Also i love the drawing you showed at the end... drawing wet hair is really hard but you've stylized it so well and really interestingly, it looks awesome!
Is the “shadow” color is a cold color (like blue) use the warmest tourist color. If the shadow color is a warm color (pink/purple) use the cold tourist color (at least that’s what work I think). Great video!
Just want to say thank you so much for this video and your whole channel. Really appreciate you sharing your hard-earned knowledge with us beginner artists.
I NEVER KNEW THIS. WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS. THANK YOU SO MUCH I GOT IT SO WRONG IN THE BEGINNING. (aggresive love but i seriously don't know how else to represent the shock that i felt)
I really love about you/ your RUclips channel, that you dont try to upload contents those will much viewers. You focus on quality and to be able to help us. Thank you !
I'm gonna look like such a stupid but I'm gonna ask. So when I'm on photo shop: 1. How I can blend colors while I do drawing by modes. Like "multiply" for shading, adding light on "overlay" clipping mask layer. Gosh. I have no idea And 2. There is no color wheel. At least not in like this. So what should I do?
Hi! I also draw on photoshop, so I'll try to help! I do recommend studying a little more about colors (you could try adobe colors, it is a website with color pallets!), the complementary colors are really easy to remind (or maybe keeping an image of a color wheel could help, because i don't know if we can change de ps "color wheel") as for the first question i also paint like this! the colors usually blend with the transparency, but can change if they're next to another color or depending on the type of layer you're using! it is really good to experiment with that, but you could also try using a normal layer mode (no multiply) and trying the "real hues/colors", adding a base for skin (for exemple) then mixing oranges, pinks and purples for shades and highlights! (and you can do just like she's saying, but since they are in different layers, the color will blend with the one underneath and etc) i think i talked too much and maybe it is a little confusing, but i hope it helps! it is really fun to experiment with saturation and hues :]
