They used a photo-copy design where they take a picture of the model they will use it for, and paste it on the character model, therefore making it very realistic looking.
They have really tall heads and the hair mod perfectly balanced out the proportion. But their hair does look like a lot and very bushy though, I feel like I'm in a desert just by looking at it.

When it comes to CG models, it's always the teeth that let them down when they are rendered. They are either too shiny or the texture ends up being a color that's too strong and noticeable.
